So far The Surgery Group have been amazing. I did a lot of research into what clinic to use and most of them slated each other which is not professional but The Surgery Group never slated anyone else and never pressured me into going with them like some of the other places I looked into did!

I had access to Jake and Mathew through WhatsApp 24/7 if I needed their help and advise. They were both amazing. No matter how many questions I asked, or what time I asked, they always answered me and were both very kind, helpful and polite. This was amazing support and at no extra cost!

Dr Moussa phoned me for a video call about a month before surgery and he was very polite and informative and happily answered all my questions. On the night before the procedure I was put up in a nice Novotel for the night due to the distance I had to travel. This was included in the surgery price. I had a very nice room and a nice meal. I was rested and relaxed for the procedure the next morning.

On th day of surgery I arrived at the clinic and was greeted by the staff. The clinic was very clean, tidy and modern. I met Dr Moussa and his team of technicians and they were all very polite and helpful and helped me to relax. Every part of the procedure was explained to me before it was done and I honestly felt that my best interests and health and safety was paramount. As I have a heart condition, Dr Moussa had to be very careful with the amount of Adrenaline used in the local anaesthetic. He calculated this well and I never felt at risk throughout the surgery. The technicians also let me have a look at my grafts through the microscope and explained what they were doing to them which was very interesting to me.

I was allowed a break whenever I needed one and we stopped for lunch which they provided for me as well as lots of bottles of water and pop to keep me hydrated throughout the day which was 12 hours long as I had a full beard transplant which is a big procedure.

The surgery finished at 22.30 that night. I was cleaned up and sent back to the hotel for a second night as it was late and I’d had a big procedure and Dr Moussa didn’t think it was safe for me to take the long drive home, so they paid for a second night at the same hotel for me. Brilliant! I was sent away with antibiotics, saline spray, sterile gauze, and steroids to reduce swelling and more bottles of water and lots of advice on caring my grafts.

I drove home the next morning and has daily contact with Jake and Mathew over the next 2 weeks to make sure I was ok and healing well.

I would definitely recommend The Surgery Group to anyone wanting a hair/beard transplant and I would definitely use them again if I needed to.

They offer a 12 month review and if I feel I need any grafts added/replaced then they will do this at no extra cost to me which is fantastic.

The price was £5000 which is very good and was the lowest quote I was given out of 6 places that I phoned. Very good value for money. I am very happy overall.

I am now 8 months post surgery with Dr Ahmed and his team (Sian, Amanda and Phil). I would say that the overall experience has been really, really good. I was understandably nervous about the procedure but the whole team put me at ease from the moment I arrived until I finished. With pre surgery contact with Matthew and post surgery contact and advise from Jake, I can honestly say that the experience has been first class. Dr Ahmed even gave me a lift to my hotel as he was going that way. Saved me walking and feeling conscious. That little gesture was really important to me and something that I feel was extremely kind.

Initially i was sceptical that I would see the results I desperately wanted BUT, I am over the moon after 8 months. I still have 4 ish months to go until the hairline is as it should be but it can only get better and better. The feeling you get when someone comments in a positive way puts it all into perspective. If you have the money and are prepared to be patient, my advice would be to go with Surgery Group 100%. My life has changed and I couldn't be happier!

What’s my story? Probably strangely similar to yours. Did it take me a long time to make up my mind about the surgery? Yes! Did I consider flying across the world just to save money? Yes! Did I know little to nothing about hair transplant, which kept me glued to the screen for hours reading reviews and other people’s stories? OH YES! Did I find all the right answers? Absolutely not. Instead I developed a serious case of paralysis by analysis, and finally gave myself a deadline. One thing I knew – I wanted my hair back!
How did I choose to have my surgery in the UK? Simply – I didn’t want to be so far away from home if anything was to go wrong.
How did I choose the clinic? Gave myself 1 hour to read through reviews and offers in my region. Made 2 inquires. Customer service ended up being the decisive factor. Yes, the name that has popped up so many times in these reviews is about to be introduced ;) Jake was kind, helpful, fast, informative and most of all – not pushy. I just felt I was doing the right thing. That was the moment when apprehension and uncertainty swapped places with ‘’I can’t wait for the day of the surgery’’ feeling. So, we arranged things and everything was just as explained. To a T.
Dr. Moussa has this calming air around him that his presence alone took all my anxiety away. He explained it all, and that was exactly what happened. Like a perfectly scripted film. No…better! Alongside Dr. Moussa, I can’t but give a very special thanks to Phil and Claire, who not only did their job perfectly, but are also sweet and kind people and a pleasure to be around.
Once the surgery was over I was given my pills and instructions and was on my way back home. Jake was there for me every single day. I felt taken care of well, and knew that If I needed anything he was only a text message away. In other words – Just stay calm and stick to the rulebook. The first week after the surgery is indeed crucial and you may have to be extra cautious. I had no pain at all on the second day already, but there was some serious itching around the day 5 (just some nerve endings healing, you’re not going crazy). Today is my Day 21. I’m so happy and proud of myself that I made the right decision and went for Surgery Group, and can’t wait for … those 8 looooooong months to be over before I see the final results 🙃. But, the wait will be worth the effort. I’m sure. As much as I’m sure Surgery Group is worth the praise. Every word of it. Thank you! ❤️

Very pleased i choose these guys for my surgery, from the very beginning the service was impeccable. Jake was on hand for personal advice via wattsapp : pre surgery , surgery and post surgery.

On the day it was a pleasure to have Ahmed,Phil and Amanda, all was extremely professional and really good at what they do .

In summary ,if you are reading these reviews ‘like i did’ to research where to go , then look no further ,you wont be disappointed.

On the day of surgery dr Ahmad and the team was fantastic. The surgery takes only one day with little pain. Jake and Matthew answered all my questions before and after the surgery they made the process very easy for me. I would recommend anyone thinking about hair transplants to come to surgery group

The whole process from start to finish is just a great experience through Surgery Group. Matt is great at explaining the details and arranging the logistics of your day, then Jake deals with the aftercare in an extremely professional and caring way.

The surgery team, led by Dr Moussa for me, were excellent. I had Phil and Amanda with Dr Moussa and they were great at easing your nerves, explaining what they are going and letting you take breaks whenever you want. The facilities were clean and the equipment all looked really good quality.

The thing that makes this a 5* review is that Dr Moussa wasn't just concerned with giving me the best possible hair transplant right now, but instead made me think longer term. As I am quite young, he explained in detail why he thought being more conservative with the hairline would be more beneficial in the long-run if I have further hair loss (though the ultimate decision is yours to make, he gave me the necessary information to make the best decision possible). In all the other consultations with other places I had, no surgeon ever raised these issues with me. This shows that the team at Surgery Group really care a lot about the quality of their work and the welfare of patients.

I will try and keep it short snd sweet as all of the positive reviews are 100% correct. You will not find or receive this level of professionalism and service at this price anywhere. I attended the Nottingham clinic for a 9:30 am start on Monday the 27/9/21 having been put up at a local hotel on the doorstep the night before a great start, the day itself went brilliantly and I was on my way back to the North East at 5:00 pm, why go to Turkey or London ? there is absolutely no need to. Matthew and his team are second to none Dr Ahmad from his telephone consultation to meeting him and himself carrying out the procedure I must say was excellent throughout. The team of technicians Amanda, Eva and Emma were superb and Jakes aftercare has been amazing. If anyone would benefit from talking to me personally ask Matthew for my details and I will gladly confirm how good my experience has been with the Surgery Group. Once again thank you all, you did an amazing job.

Just had my hair transplant on 5/10/21. Prior to that I spent ages doing research on where to go and how much it would cost, I had consultations with other places but I didn't get to speak with a surgeon, consequently I wasted a lot of time. I started to give up hope, however I came across Surgery Group. Basically il save you months of wasted time...."This is the place to go!", you get to speak with the surgeon straight away, theres no salesman hassling you. Very friendly people, Matt and Jake both top guys, always there to answer any questions, however silly, excellent professional and highly skilled surgical team, you couldn't ask for more. Personal thanks to Dr Ahmad and his team as well as Matt and Jake.

The doctor and his team made me feel at ease with the procedure they were kind and professional and looked after me.Matthew was discreet,polite and made the administrative process run smoothly.Jake looked after me post/op he text me before my op and the same very night after the procedure and patiently answered all my questions.So everything was perfect thanks.

So, i have been searching for my partner a hair transplant for over 2 years and I could not seem to settle with one!! There were all so pushy and something did not sit right Until I found these guys!! Wow what an amazing group of people I honestly could not thank these guys enough! Jake especially!! He has been absolutely amazing with us and extremely patient with me asking him at least 50 questions a day he would reply to me within 10 minutes! We decided these were the ones!! Day before the surgery they booked us into a lovely hotel where we took our two small children! And everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Morning of the surgery Jake still messaging me to make sure my partner Alex was ok and ensuring everything is going to be fine, we then met Mathew who was with Alex all day and invited us up to see Alex for some dinner just before the procedure started!! Dr Ahmad was brilliant!! Absolutely amazing all of he’s staff are super professional and I honestly still can not thank them enough! It’s now day 12 for my partner and he is so much better in himself he has worn a hat for 6 years and now the hats are all in the Bin! He’s feeling 99.9% more confident than he was before the surgery and Jake is still in touch everyday making sure we have the correct after care!! As a grandma, I am well aware that I could never be transformed into a Tina Turner look alike...

As I write this review, I am recovering nicely from my recent FUT procedure at the Nottingham clinic, under the care of wonderful Dr Ahmad & his incredible, lovely team; Phil, Amanda, Eva & Claire- you're all stars.
I can truthfully say, that from my initial first contact with Matthew, who immediately put me at ease, to my accessible, after-care support with Jake, I really cannot fault anyone or any aspect of the service I have received.
I have been treated with down to earth honesty, compassion and respect. Everything has been handled smoothly & without fuss. I believe I have received amazing value for money, especially when you consider the time & expertise involved in this highly skilled, labour intensive procedure.

Excellent, friendly service from start to finish!!
At 22 most people would consider this quite young to be considering a hair transplant. But having been gradually losing my hair for 12 months it was really starting to affect my confidence, so I decided to research hair transplant clinics and fill in a few enquiry forms.
From the responses I received, I can honestly say, The Surgery Group were by far the best!!
Quick & easy communication from Jake, no pushy sales, just straight forward questions & requests to enable the surgeon to give me an honest opinion and quote for the procedure, which was a lot different from a majority of the information & quotes I received.
Jake was fantastic from word go, answering all my questions day or night, even weekends.
My phone consultation with Dr Ahmed covered absolutely anything & everything you could possibly ask. When I asked if I could also visit the clinic for a face to face consultation, this was arranged no problem, even though I had had a phone consultation.
Dr Ahmed was totally honest about the amount of grafts he was going to do because of my age, unlike the other clinics!
The day of the surgery I couldn’t have been looked after any better. The whole team were fantastic, made me feel at ease & kept me informed throughout.
Post care, again fantastic by Jake, regular contact with instructions & advice.

1 week after my procedure and I honestly couldn’t be happier! From the very start Matthew and Jake have been amazing from start to Finnish made everything so easy and the communication and after care from Jake 5 ⭐️! Not leaving out Amanda and Eva the technicians on the day of the surgery also a 5 start service both made me relaxed and comfortable both really nice genuine people and did a hell of a job! My surgeon was Dr Ahmed extremely Knew his stuff and don’t use any doctor talk made everything very clear !Overall best decision I ever made and going with the surgery group was 100% the correct decision couldn’t recommend enough!!

This may be a long review but if you are anything like I was then you’ll be reading this just as throughly as I did because this is a big decision!
I wouldn’t class myself as an extreme case by any means but having been slowly receding for the last 10 years (now aged 35) I thought to myself I either do something about it now or just give up and shave my head. But my hair, I feel is a big part of my image and quite honestly I enjoy having hair as I also feel a shaved head and losing my hair adds 10 years on me. I like most did a lot of searches on google and found lots of surgeries both in UK and abroad and was put off by some high prices and pushy sales pitches but also by the unknown element of going abroad for a procedure which has a significant impact on my appearance. What made me finally commit to surgery group was my consultation with Dr Ahmad. His manner and calmness put me at ease and his knowledge and approach gave me confidence in him…. He was my guy!!!
Even to the point of being sat in the room with the permanent marker drawn on to my head I still felt like I was doing something a little foolish because I’m not the type to spend money on myself or take these bold decisions lightly.
But from the minute the surgeon and technicians finished on my head and I looked in the mirror my confidence was back where it belongs. I felt great. I looked like an idiot with the bandages but I felt amazing having had it done. The treatment itself was painless. Only pain was the anaesthetic needle but even that wasn’t any worse than a minute of sharp pain before complete numbness and pain free. I honestly could have been at a spa!!! I Didn’t feel a thing and it was actually really nice having all the attention on me and talking to the doctor and technicians who were so down to earth and calm and actually a good laugh.
I’m now 2 weeks post op and I haven’t told my friends I’ve had it done and I walked into the pub yesterday and not one of them thought id had a hair transplant. They all thought id just shaved my head and said I actually suit a shaved head 😂 (maybe I needn’t have bothered 🤪) my confidence is now at an all time high and I can’t wait for my hair to shed and regrow….. the big question is do I go for a top knot with a man bun or a Chrissy Waddle mullet?????
Big shout to Jake and Matthew who have been like 2 friends more than support for the surgery. Both very knowledgeable and reassuring and aftercare help has been on point.

***This review is wrote about 5 weeks post hair transplant op and is based on the experience thus far more so than the end result. There is nothing to say the end result won't be a success but I'm before the point where I can comment on that and may update on that at a later point. This is only mentioning the actual experience I had with the key people involved***

Firstly the reason I did this. At the age of 26 suffering with poor hair family genetics making me bald aggressively since my early 20's this is an extremely big thing for me to try and regain my esteem and surgery group supported me in all ways they could on questions on the approach to surgery and also got me in for the op very efficiently which is good.

Like most people who are reading these reviews I have been on the fence about having treatment like this for years. The obvious concerns are always the price and whether it will actually work. I initially spoke to Matt who is one of the patient co-ordinators who explained everything in great detail to me. He in no way pushes you to make the decision like a sales man and feels more like you're speaking to a friend with expertise then someone who is pushing for a sale. He made me feel as confident and convinced of the results of the surgery on the approach and truly is around night and day to speak about any concerns (which I had a lot of as I am someone who worries easily).

For the hair graft operation I had Dr Ish who I'd spoke to prior to the operation for a consultation and he is also a very honest and clearly a very skilled surgeon. I went to the Bromsgrove facility and it was everything you'd expect very clean and professional and exactly where you want to go for an operation of this kind. Dr Ish was very clear and concise throughout the duration of the procedure explaining everything that will happen during the operation and after care. I don't have a bad word to say about him and he too made me feel confident throughout telling me what grafts he extracted and how it was going and just tried to make me feel as comfortable as I can. I came out of the op feeling like it was a success and that I have actually got a second chance of having hair.

Post treatment I then had Jake as my post operation patient co-ordinator and he was another class professional person to speak to. Even now Jake will come straight back to me with concerns and queries night and day to keep me at ease and comfortable and has helped me constantly. He was extremely attentive post treatment doing regular check in's giving me do's and don'ts for the best upkeep to the grafts post operation.

This is a long read of my personal account but for me personally I know how big a commitment this is and I know how you can put it off for months / years - my honest final word is don't! You deserve to give your confidence a second chance and surgery group based on my experience thus far and speaking to multiple companies beforehand are the best in the business at keeping it simple and to the point. Due to the extreme situation of my baldness I'm already fully intending to go back for a arranged second operation to do the rest of my head showing utter faith to them knowing they're attention to care and there expertise in there surgeons. Regardless of whether my hair regrowth is an overwhelming success or just wasn't for me I know my experience trying to re-gain this was great and it was down to surgery group as a whole to make me feel like that.

I initially started looking for a hair transplant surgeon at the beginning on the year and came across surgery group. They have been great from start to finish. No pressure to book and they fit me in to suit me as I needed a particular date, Dr moussa and the team were amazing and the whole procedure was very relaxed and pain free. Matthew and Jake have been great post op with jake making sure everything is being done with the aftercare which really takes the stress away and he will inform you step by step what is needed. It’s handy Jake has the procedure done with the team so he can put your mind at ease or just be there for advice. Overall I’m really happy with the results so far. And would definitely recommended the surgery group.

A fantastic experience throughout. I had a FUE hair transplant 3 weeks ago and I'm very satisfied with the whole process. From the initial contact with Matthew to the first phone call with Dr Ish, I felt like the Surgery Group genuinely had my best interests at heart.

The surgery itself was based in Bromsgrove and I had travelled up from Manchester the night before. Matthew organised a hotel for me which was one less thing to think about. In the morning. Dr Ish and I agreed a hairline and went through the relevant consent forms which was nice and efficient. I felt comfortable throughout the procedure, the staff were extremely friendly and I didn't have any worries at any point. The anaesthetic part was the part of the procedure which caused slight discomfort, but this should be expected. The team ordered in Pizza at lunch time which was a nice gesture.

After the procedure, Jake was in contact with me regularly, asking how I felt and making sure I didn't have any unanswered questions. I feel like this aftercare is what can be missing if you decide to have a procedure abroad. I still ask Jake questions now and I'm very happy to always have someone in the background to alleviate any concerns I have.

Overall - I would 100% recommend the Surgery group, great value for money, patient-care is very important for them and it shows.

I'm very happy with my experience with Surgery Group and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering getting a hair transplant. I had my hair transplant 14 days ago and am pleased with the results so far. I have had two previous hair transplants overseas over the past 12 years, and only started to consider getting one in the UK due to the current Covid related travel restrictions.

After shopping around I decided to go with Surgery Group due not only to them offering the best price for my procedure (Combo FUE/FUT), but also the speed at which they responded, and how easy they were to talk to. One of the other companies that I was considering quoted me £3500 more for the exact same procedure and were nowhere near as approachable as Matthew at Surgery Group.

This has been my best hair transplant procedure. It was much easier driving home after surgery than needing to take a flight. Understanding everything that was going on around me due to no language barrier was a big improvement too.

Matthew arranged a hotel for me for the night before and I had my surgery in Bromsgrove with Dr Ahmad Moussa. Dr Moussa is the most down to earth surgeon that I have ever met, and both he and Stan and the rest of the team made the experience as pleasant as it could be on the day. The results so far are looking good and I have had a lot less scabbing on my scalp this time due to the smaller incisions made by Dr Ahmad. I felt listened to by Dr Ahmad who helped me to make an informed choice about how to make the most out of placement of the grafts.

For after care, Jake was in touch daily for the first five days and always responded quickly with the information I needed.

I have felt a lot less pressured than my last hair transplant experience in Turkey when they they were asking for a review the day of the surgery and took what felt like hundreds of photos of me.

I have received a Pharma Hermetic Hair Recovery pack too (included in the price), so hopefully that will give my hair a bit of a boost too.

So to sum up, I'm a satisfied customer and would definitely recommend Surgery Group.
