Hands down the best meat we've eaten. We have tried plenty but we have now found our forever meat supplier. The all of the pork is out of this world delicious, the beef joints are full of flavour and so tender, you can literally taste the love put into these animals, we have a list of items yet to try and we've never been so excited to try something. 100% recommended.

Very misleading product description.
The description on my order said "Valentine's Sharing rump steak with chimichurri & beef fat chips" The picture used for the product showed the chips. I did not received the chips but did received a very small tub of fat to cook chips in. Too small to cook the chips shown in the picture.
Complained to customer services. Told I should have read he product details more carefully. No apology about the very misleading description . Second email about this did not receive a response.
I like the products that Swaledale sell and have always been pleased with them. First time I have had to contact their customer services. Very disappointing response. Clearly if I purchase an offer again I will need to be very careful about believing their description. I also think this was a misleading trade description.

To clarify, the product description stated that the pack included 600g sharing rump steak, 75ml chimichurri, and 100g rendered beef fat - with the beef fat intended for cooking chips at home, as suggested in our cooking advice. The image on the product page was intended to showcase the end result, rather than indicate that pre-prepared chips were included. However, I appreciate that this may not have been as clear as it could have been for some customers, and we will review how we present this in the future.
I also regret that your second email didn’t receive a response - that was not our intention, and I apologise if you felt your concerns weren’t fully acknowledged. We always aim to provide helpful and constructive customer service, and I’m sorry if our initial response didn’t come across that way.

Very efficient and helpful staff if my order needs amending. Wonderful quality and range of meat products and always wrapped so thoroughly to keep it chilled until it arrives at my house. And it’s all regenerative farming so healthy and so good for the environment especially all the rare breeds they use. I just wish they made herby chicken burgers!

I’ve only given 4 because I’ve not tried any yet but by looking at it I think it’s going to be excellent been a butcher for 35 years I won’t buy my meat from supermarkets I’d rather spend a bit extra for quality I will leave more of a review after Xmas and the pork chops I can’t wait to try they look how a pork chops should look like plenty of fat round it. If all goes well you have a customer for life well it’s Boxing Day that beef was the best I have tasted for years you have a customer for life the pork I don’t have to taste it it’s going to be good just by looking at the colour of the rind not white and meat but dark fat and meat just how chops should be

Swaledale Butchers has mixed reviews from my experience. I've had a flawless delivery before with high-quality, well-packaged meat, ready for the freezer. Unfortunately, another time, my order was mishandled, with no notification upon delivery, and left in the sun, forcing me to cook it all immediately. While the meat quality can be excellent, delivery consistency and customer service could use improvement. Overall, an average experience with room for better reliability.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we have no record of receiving or fulfilling an order for a customer under the name Fredrik, nor have we received any correspondence regarding such an order.
All our customers receive a shipping confirmation email, followed by a one-hour delivery time slot notification directly from our courier, DPD. Further tracking and delivery information is also available via the DPD app. If this information isn’t received, it is usually due to incorrect email or mobile number details provided at checkout.
If a delivery is successful but the goods are damaged, we kindly ask customers to report this to us as soon as they realise so that we can address the issue promptly.
Regarding your comments on our insulated packaging, it is worth noting that perishable produce can only be dispatched with DPD following rigorous independent temperature testing. These tests have consistently demonstrated that our packaging maintains safe temperatures, even in summer conditions.
