We want to clarify that it is completely normal for the battery to drain faster in the beginning when it's been taking to use because it is still learning the user's habits and the battery will return to normal within about 2-3 weeks and will not drain so quickly anymore, but we completely understand if this affects the use of the phone. Swappie running a scam with the “trade…

Swappie running a scam with the “trade ins” traded in an iPhone 14 was told I’d get €199,email this morning claiming it “failed the display test and it wasn’t an original display so the new price offered was €19” phone was bought brand new and never had anything replaced or worked on. Complete scam.

We wanted to provide a bit more detail regarding the screen inspection we had also talked with you in our previous email. During our technical check, our team noticed that the screen’s specifications don’t quite match the original manufacturer’s parts. While we aren't suggesting this was a change you made personally, we did find that is possible a non-original (LCD) screen was installed and this causes the screen brightness to not be as good as it should be.

To ensure the phone meets our quality standards and we can give device our warranty, we need to replace the screen. Because of this unfortunately, the offer changed because the repair costs. We completely understand that the big price change was disappointing.

We hope you understand how our pricing works and that you will consider Swappie again in the future if you decide to sell another phone.

Faulty iPhone & Poor Repair

I bought an iPhone 13 from Swappie about 2 years ago and I have had the same recurring problem. The front camera is really blurry and I can’t use it to take any selfies. I sent it back while it was still in warranty to be fixed which it was temporarily fixed before having the same problem reappear a couple weeks later. What bothers me is that the repair was just a quick fix and not a proper solution which is what it should have been.

DO NOT TRUST! I BOUGHT AN IPHONE AND NEVER RECEIVED IT!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY! (see also below for my detailed response to Swappie's reply)

I bought a refurbished Iphone 15 (256 GB) with a cover and tempered glass, and paid 644,80 € for it.
Swappie sent me a package that allegedly contained the Iphone and the cover through their "trusted" carrier DHL.

The given address was my home, but the courier failed to find it, and the delivery had to be rescheduled.
To facilitate the delivery, I changed the address to a DHL pick-up point.

When I picked up the package, it felt very light, so I opened it immediately. Inside the package (which looked completely intact from the outside), there was NO IPHONE, but only the cover and the cable.

I immediately asked the pick-up point owner if there were any other packages, but there were none. After that, I contacted Swappie support, and they said they would open an investigation with DHL.

The investigation was fake, as it lasted only one day and consisted solely of tracking the weight of the package in Leipzig and Milan, concluding that the weight corresponded to a package containing the Iphone.

I contested that the package could have been tampered with at later stages (especially considering that the delivery had to be rescheduled due to DHL’s fault), and that my contract was with Swappie, not DHL. Swappie did not fulfil their part of the contract, as they took my money but I did not receive any Iphone.

After this "fake investigation", Swappie practically stopped collaborating and investigating the issue, and kept replying with almost empty emails.

THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE ME, NOR SEND ME THE ACTUAL PRODUTC I PAID FOR, NOR OFFER ME ANY ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION!

Unfortunately, I now see online that, among the negative reviews, similar situations involving delivery issues have already happened to others.

PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, AS THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ANY GUARANTEE THAT YOUR PURCHASES WILL ARRIVE AT THEIR DESTINATION! IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH THE DELIVERY, THEY DO NOT EVEN INVESTGATE WITH THE CARRIER WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED!

DO NOT TRUST SHORT AND GOOD REVIEW EITHER!

I have also filed a police report and a formal complaint, as well as opened a complaint on PayPal, but so far without any results.

SWAPPIE REPLIES THAT THEY FOLLOWED STANDARD PROCEDURE: WHICH IS IGNORING CLIENT'S CLAIM.

Swappie’s reply states that "we also have your signature confirming that you received the shipment and the weight of the shipment has also remained the same throughout the journey, which shows that the shipment contained the phone you ordered."

THIS IS JUST FALSE:

The signature is not a real signature; it is automatically generated when I give the pick-up point owner the PIN needed for identification. However, the PIN must be given BEFORE receiving the package and checking whether it contains the correct items. Therefore, it cannot in any way be considered confirmation on my part that the package was intact. In fact, I immediately noticed that it was light, opened it on the spot, and reported that the phone was missing to the pick-up point owner.

Swappie says that since the weight was the same throughout the journey, the package must have contained the Iphone. However, as Swappie themselves stated in response to our complaint, the last weighing happened in Milan, whereas the package was delivered several days later in Piacenza (also considering that the delivery was rescheduled for unclear reasons and IT HAS NOT BEEN WEIGHED AFTER THAT).

I CANNOT EXCLUDE THAT SWAPPIE IS AVOIDING INVESTIGATING THIS FACT ON PURPOSE.
EITHER WAY, FOR SURE IT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS.

So disappointed

I just received my phone today and I am not able to use it. Even though I asked for a new battery it says that it is overheated and needs to cool down, the screen barely stays on and I am feeling such a regret right now bc it's my first purchase with Swappie and they disappoint me. I asked for a warranty and I'm still waiting for the response.

CASH BACK SCAM!!!

I bought an iPhone 17 pro hoping to get cash back after because I sent my perfectly fine iPhone 13 Pro Max in. They said they’d give me 1600 kr back. And guess what… when I got the phone and had already began using it I got an email saying that I wouldn’t get 1600 but 250 because of minor issues that weren’t true. Come on. These people are scammers don’t buy from them. And then I asked for my phone back and then MY PHONE CAME BACK CRACKED! SO NOW I HAVE A CRACKED PHONE AND NO MONEY! SCAM!!!
