I was looking for a comparison to switch providers oof my dual fuel

I was looking for a comparison to purchase my fire from, as my current provider is expensive. Within a few minutes of me looking at Switharoo, I received a call from a young gentleman from British Gas. He managed to find me a better rate tailored to my needs and much cheaper than my current provider. So I’m switching to British Gas asap. Quick, efficient , professional service.

Great service from a knowledgeable young man. I contacted Switcheroo because I wanted…

I contacted Switcheroo because I wanted a better deal on some household expenditure. The agent I spoke with, Danny Wadsworth walked me through a deal which as a home owner combined certain commodities to lessen monthly costs. Danny set it out clearly and concisely he ironed out every problem in the set up and sorted it all. If ever anyone went 'beyond the call of duty' Danny did. I am very grateful to this young man for his patience, knowledge and consideration.

Endless spam calls

My original review was taken down for claiming that they sold my data.

So instead I will say that from the second I entered my details on this website, I was spam called relentlessly. If I blocked a number, another called me. The person I eventually spoke to confirmed my phone number was given to them by Switcheroo. Avoid at all costs

Thought I was on the Fuse Energy…

Thought I was on the Fuse Energy website but when I went through for an online quote the last page, after I put all my details in, said 'welcome to Switcheroo' and someone would call me. It seems they are misleading people using misleading websites. I did receive a call but they didn't answer when I spoke.

Update: Had a phone call a day later with a Switcheroo employee pretending to be British Gas despite emailing to remove my details.
Later the same day I had a call from someone harassing me about the TrustPilot review who said they were Switcheroo's director. They even lied and said they got my number off TrustPilot when I asked why they still had my number.
Seems a worse company than I thought.

Probable scam

I recieved a phone call asking about my broadband and energy costs
I was half asleep so didn't think too much but I searched up the number while on the call which returned it was a scam so I hung up before agreeing to anything (they didn't even tell me about any "deals" yet
Proceeded to receive both a text and whats app saying i had chosen a new both saying "thanks for choosing Rise fibre" with a switcheroo link to a pre contract which i absolutely did not click
Whatever this company is doing I'd steer clear
I had never heard of them until today

So far, so good…

It seems that when you ask Switcheroo to find a better deal for electricity, it costs you nothing, and the next thing that happens is a supplier contacts you directly - presumably the one with the best deal. So far, so good. Then, if you're happy with their offer, you don't need to do anything except agree to it, and they will do all the admin to make you their customer. When they inform your existing supplier they in turn will contact you with their best deal, to persuade you to stay with them. That's it so far. Switcheroo say they will call you within 60 seconds after you first contact them, by which they mean 15 minutes, so I did start to look elsewhere. Anyway, you just have to decide on the deal offered, and hope that the new supplier won't mess you about like the old one. A fixed TARIFF is just the rate you pay per unit, and does not mean a fixed direct debit. I don't like the way Scottish Power re-estimate and bump up your bill so I'm hoping British Gas don't do the same.
