Sexual assault

I worked for this company for two weeks, the manager sexually assaulted me and I had to take them to tribunal just to get my wages.

They actually get their staff to try and trick potential customers into agreeing to an appointment for a quote by pretending that they are arranging an appointment for alternative purposes and they get staff to bypass secretaries of businesses by asking to speak to the manager about a "financial matter".

If we did not get enough appointments arranged we had to stand up to make phone calls and we could only sit down again when we got more.

when the company switched over to digital…

TO LEE HILL ? CEO - CLEAR BUSINESS
when the company switched over to digital. I had an almost incomprehensible set of equipment sent to me, which I did my best to install
It didn't work.
I then spent almost 3 weeks trying to contact their "Technical Team" (if they actually have such a thing). I rang EVERY DAY usually 3 -4 times. EVERY DAY. I was always put on hold, I waited and waited 20-30 minutes at a time - NEVER got an answer
So, having no phone service at all, I decided to switch to BT. I then got AN IMMEDIATE response from UNICOM/CLEAR BUSINESS, threatening me with a £1500 charge if I switched.
I TRIED to call them about this charge, and I was immediately told that I WOULD BE PUT THROUGH TO (yes you guessed it) the mythical ? "Technical Team"
I waited another 30 minutes with no response

I would add that 4 weeks on, I have never had a response from the "Technical Team" or any other branch of this appalling business about any aspect of this problem

I have lived at 16 Albert Square for…

I have lived at 16 Albert Square for over two years and had a truly great experience. The management team has always been quick to respond to repairs and any complaints, often addressing issues immediately.

Most importantly, I’d like to highlight Alex, who has been especially supportive and professional, along with others on the team who played their part in making my stay comfortable.

Overall, I highly recommend 16 Albert Square for anyone looking for a well-managed and responsive place to live.

Would like to appreciate UNICOM for their prompt response when I was stranded and locked my key inside my room at midnight (my bad as this is the second time it’s happening in 2 weeks)

I had an issue with a service users…

I had an issue with a service users front door not being able to open, and contacted Graham directly to have this resolved, and Graham completed the work within 20 minutes and the issue was resolved.

Satisfactory Job done

I'm extremely impressed with the exceptional service provided by
UNICOM agency team, particularly Graham, Marlon, Alex, Emmanuel, and Godson. They promptly responded to my concerns and efficiently addressed the issues in my apartment.

Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. The team worked diligently to ensure that all necessary repairs and replacements were made in a timely manner.

TERRIBLE

I would recommend that this Company and its new guise, Clear Business, be avoided. The service is terrible and they end up overcharging (was being charged £85+ for broadband and phone line - new supplier is down to £26)

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

THE MOST DREADFUL COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH- POOR SERVICE, HIGH PRICES, STAFF WHO CONSTANTLY PALM YOU OFF WITH EXCUSES JUST TO GET RID OF YOU.
NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.
MANAGED TO GET AWAY FROM THEM WITHOUT PENALTY -HOME PHONE AND BROADBAND- BUT HAD TO GIVE UP MY LANDLINE AS THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE IT TO WORK.
IT REALLY IS SUCH A RELIEF TO HAVE GOT AWAY FROM THEM, AND NEW PROVIDER IS UNDER HALF THEIR COST.
NEVER HAVING TO SPEAK TO UNICOM AGAIN IS A JOY.

Very quick with repairs

Very quick with repairs! I had a sink clogged and after calling the request Graham showed up in 10-20 mins and fixed it for me.

10th month of tenancy and they were always quick with solving problems!

Where do I start

Where do I start! 16 months of hell which is continuing under a new company as they have been bought out by clear business. An engineer attended our business property to change to the new and improved smart meter March 2023 ( that’s how it was sold to us ) A simple mistake by him has led to over a year of absolute hell, he incorrectly submitted a meter reading from one meter to the other of over 3000 units of electricity ( that’s fine it’s a mistake these things happen) Unicom thought to just simply extract £1400 from our business account as we paid via direct debit we are a small business and just recovering slowly from the pandemic at that point so nearly crippled us with other bills arriving at that time. I was advised by Unicom to claim back the payment as it was a mistake to which I did, little did I know that I would then face harassment and threats even a debt collector turning up at the premises scaring the life out of the girls that worked there ( who also promptly left in fear of not getting paid) phone lines were cut and connected to the collections office in Manchester daily emails and letters sent threatening legal action all while the account was under investigation by Unicom for them to try work out what went wrong and speak to the engineer. I eventually had enough and went to the ombudsman to gain a resolution ( they were brilliant by the way ) they quickly ruled in my favour and instructed Unicom to apologise by way of a letter rectify the account and compensate me personally with £200. 1 out of the 3 was actually done I received a letter £200 was credited to my account
( which I didn’t mind at the time) but here is where the problem came, they left the debt on the account. The £200 was swallowed straight up and the debt collectors phone calls emails and letters soon started again ( funny how these stop when they are being looked at by the ombudsman) I had to for the second time recover a direct debit amount as I reinstated this thinking it was sorted by the ombudsman. Up until today this still not resolved and I can’t reopen an old case with the ombudsman either as I accepted the resolution ( be careful if your ever in this situation). The hours upon hours I have lost on the phone, writing emails contacting the ombudsman and now a solicitor for something that wasn’t even my fault and they still like to pass the book wherever possible. My advice to anyone thinking of moving to this company stay well clear as they’ve changed the name to avoid these complaints but the incompetence remains under the new banner also.
