I purchased the mega bundle of Synthesys.io's EVA AI apps. They have produced some quality tools that allow images and videos to be generated from text prompts and from introducing other images. There has been a short learning curve and some experimentation with the AI prompts, but I have come up with some great images and video clips that I will be using in my projects.

The one area I give them extra high marks in is their support. In learning the software, I had numerous questions that led me to put in multiple tickets with their support department. In every case, they emailed me back promptly with the answer to my questions. I have been very impressed. I give them 5 stars for the wide range of AI tools that they provide and especially for their excellent support department.

This is a first class piece of kit, the lip sync is near perfect and will get much better in time, absolutely first class! and the fact that AI STUDIO is incorporated within the system is brilliant, all in one dashboard, everything is seamless. Absolutely outstanding, if you are serious n your business needs then you MUST get this app.5**

Upon signing up in 2023. I was asked to upgrade to have lifetime access to a face swap type video technology but never had access. When questioned via email, I never actually received the upgrade I paid for. I did utilize the speech to text for several projects. Fast forward to the past few days as I tried to cancel my subscription. 1st, I no longer have access to any setting within my account. The chat bot stated I could cancel my subscription under the "My Plan" tab which is no longer available. I tried to delete my account but a warning popped up stating that I would still be charged for my subscription. When I asked the chat bot for directions, it indicated that the warning message was wrong. The same chat bot that has incorrectly provided answers to most questions asked. I have sent formal notice of my request to cancel and if it is charged again will be filing a fraud complaint. What I have noticed is that nothing with this company has improved in the last year. The ai video and voice options are still just as bad as they were a year ago and with multiple other companies providing far more advanced production and quality. I am pretty convinced this is single man operation fronting as something more.

Had some issues in the beginning, but we were able to work through it and now I’m a very happy customer. They have an excellent customer service team that truly cares. I will be a loyal customer to their company.

I am pretty sure this is a real team of scammers.

The platform could never show me what the packaged I purchased included after the payment was done.

I could never use the Dubbing tool because I kept getting an error message, and then customer service refused to give me a refund after proving I couldn't use the tool.

Now, I am worried they will charge my card again after I requested the account cancellation by email.

I look for the account on LinkedIn and it totally seems like a scam company with no real employees.

As others have reported, this business has some very questionable business practices and I would strongly recommend avoiding them.

I have an LTD with them via AppSumo and use their service mostly for AI-generated audio narration. It works well enough, though the UI is terrible.

In 2022 I also purchased their new visual AI tool. I did not realize it was an automatically renewing annual subscription at the time, as I was given no indication of this and I was never given any notice whatsoever they were then going to charge my card again a year later. In fact, I even logged into their site to make sure I didn't have any subscriptions with them (other than my AppSumo LTD) before the charge and there was NO indication there that I had any sort of subscription with them for the visual AI service (and thus no way to cancel a subscription, either).

While doing some end-of-the-year accounting last week, I discovered they had charged my debit card $297 in November. I immediately contacted them and asked for a refund. I have not even used their visual AI tool in well over a year (I lost interest after playing with it for a few months, as it generates the same kind of crappy AI art as every other AI company). They refused to provide a refund and offered no apologies or explanation. I am now working with my bank to reverse this fraudulent charge.

Aside from that, most of their AI tools are fine, though their UI and UX is generally horrendous and makes common tasks take about 5x longer than they should. They have clearly never done any serious usability testing with their products.

In summary, you can find equally effective AI tools with a better interface elsewhere. I recommend finding a more reputable company with transparent billing practices for your AI media needs.

UPDATE: Synthesys has replied with screenshots showing that it is an annual fee. Now I'm waiting for screenshots showing where I agreed to an auto-renewing charge (with no notification provided of any new charges or impending renewals). Furthermore, there is no information about this subscription on my user account page on their site (and certainly no information about how to cancel it). A reputable company would a) make it clear that it is an auto-renewing charge, b) inform you of any upcoming renewals or charges, and c) make it easy to identify and cancel your subscription from your user account page. Their business practices are sketchy at best and fraudulent at worst. Avoid at all costs.

I absolutely loved this app... until it collapsed and failed to deliver - two days before an event for which I spent precious hours creating videos. The customer service is so good, but what's the point when the product is a giant fail. I can't put customer service in a big screen in front of 100s of people... so disappointing.

This Tod Gross is a joke of a man. He promises so much and delivers absolutely crap. My worst purchase ever. My gut instinct told me this will be another bullock of a product when I couldn't see PayPal payment option button.

Good value for your dollar and kind customer service...They really seem to care.

Instead of focusing on enhancing and expanding the capabilities of the software, the company has shifted its attention to creating additional "deals" and charging customers extra fees for added features. This lack of development and improvement is extremely frustrating, as it leaves users feeling as though the software remains stuck in a beta phase, even months after its initial release. It is imperative that the company re-focuses its efforts on improving and expanding the capabilities of the software, in order to provide customers with the level of service and value they expect and deserve.

Furthermore, it is not only the lack of development and improvement that is concerning, but also the lack of communication and transparency from the company regarding their plans for the software's future. Customers who have invested in the product, both financially and in terms of time and effort spent using it, have a right to know what the company's intentions are for the product and if there are any plans for future updates or improvements. Without this information, it is difficult for customers to make informed decisions about their continued use of the product and whether or not to invest in additional features. It is crucial that the company takes the necessary steps to address these concerns and provide clear and timely communication to its customers about the future of the product.

Horrid customer service makes it even worse, Anshu in particular was not helpful and his tone is the worst part of it.

I am very impressed with synthesys.io. It provides me with a human like presenter to convey information to my audience. The reason I chose this format, is that my human-like person can easily translate my message into many other languages, and this is what I need to communicate with my world-wide audience. It does a great job!

It's a great company willing to listen to their buyers.They have good software wich I use a lot. Very good support and skilled programmers.

I've been using Synthesis since it first came to market. I have had incredible success with it and use it on a regular basis for a variety of projects from explainer spokesmen/women to regular commercials. Because of my technical background, I can achieve a much broader range of results than the "average joe user." Like any other tool, its results are somewhat commensurate with the expertise, experience, and imagination of the person wielding the tool. I've used other competitive products, but for a "swiss army knife" product, this does the job for me. I Like It A Lot!

Although my experience with Synthesys is somewhat limited, I have so far been impressed with the end result of the videos I have rendered. I used one of the Humatars to crack a joke, which went down very well indeed with my target audience. I would however like to have the ability to enlarge each Humatar so that he/she blends better with the background I am using.

Great program and a lot of innovation! I realy like it!

I've been using Synthesys since it launched in 2021 and the new features added are nothing short of spectacular. The new real life voices are beyond belief.

Fortunately, I haven't needed to contact support because the software just works, but I'm sure the support is as efficient.

The product is very poor in its function.. I have been cheated by Tod Gross video and purchased it. Then I discovered later... that they brought me to the stage of no-options only to upgrade the product.
Transparency is highly requested in Era of social media... because the competition is very high ... soon they will out of the market unless they do some iterations.
