Terrible product. I am an inner city cyclist, and in a lifetime of cycling I had more flat tyres with Tannus Armour inserts than any other (vanilla) set up because they fail. They seem to be very badl... See more

Tannus Tyres are like no other bicycle tyre on the planet. Being solid, a Tannus Airless Tyre can withstand everything that would normally stop you flat with a pneumatic tyre. Nails, glass, sharp metal objects, and thorns are no longer your enemy.

- I ordered my tyres on 27/03/21.
- Chased them on 05/04/21, and they magically arrive on 07/04/21.
- Tyres arrived incomplete (I didn't know this at the time), and they didn't fit.
- Returned to them for exchange, and they received them on 12/04/21.
- They did nothing again until I chased them on 20/04/21
- They emailed me back on 27/04/21 and asked why the pins and tools were. Explained that it was the way they arrived.
- I chased them again, and now they say they're being sent out today (30/04/21).
Awful company and run by part-time amatuers. I don't even know if the tyres are any good!
fantastic product and service.
my order arrived the next day, great communication and speedy replies to emails from Tom.
Tannus 23c
Tannus 23c, Easy to Install, good grip, and no more punctures its a plus, and this has been a real issue to a heavy rider like me (120kg), i don't fell too much diference regarding the comfort, cause in no weight i always need to pump the max pressure on tires, however, the rolling resistance is quite substancial, affecting my average speed in 5km/h in same effort (against continental GP 4000)
Bought some Tannus for wife's bike…
Bought some Tannus for wife's bike about 3 years ago. She has ridden 4000 miles on them including Land's end John -O'Groats.
Excellent product. Possibly a bit harsher than pneumatics, but it makes my life as back up much easier. She has now sold the bike and upgraded to Carbon- including wheels. We would like more Tannus tyres, but are a bit reluctant because we are getting mixed messages as to whether they will go onto Carbon rims safely.
I fitted them myself and after getting the knack, found them easy enough to fit (about half an hour for a tyre).
Delivery issue
Hi there!
My name is Matt and I placed my order on 29th of June and was processed on 30th of June. Basically I'm waiting since this day and I didn't get my parcel yet. When I send email telling about it they just tell me is on the way (but 1 month on the way?).
Could you help me?

I ride the Tannus Airless Razor blade for Over 3 years now and they are still look great. The color Shara Is still The same without any color change.
I’m still happy and hope for the guy’s there product will be adopted more!
Good job!
No more punctures.!!
Me and my wife are now in our mid seventies and have gone from road bikes to Giant Fastroad e bikes over the last few years so can still do some 50 km rides over the hilly and remote Yorkshire Wolds ...I am still the chief mechanic and have a dread of punctures when we’re in the middle of nowhere ...So i’ve just got our local bike shop to fit Tannus solid tyres and done a 40 km ride today ..Didn’t notice much difference in the ride quality in comparison to the Schwalbe Durano tyres they replaced , still bumpy on uneven road surfaces , but one less thing to worry about from now on ..
There needs to be waaaaay more advice a…
There needs to be way more advice a to what tire fits to what rim.I have been a bicycle mechanic for 25 years. I have worked on the World Cup circuit and worked for Olympians, Yellow jersey holders and World Champions and these tires are THE most awkward product I have ever fitted or not fitted. I have used the thinnest pins available and still the base of the tire is tearing as I'm trying to fit it. The rim bed is no where near wide enough to take the tire base and you can't muscle it in to the bed and yet there is no advice about what size tire fits what rim bed, like everything fits everything!! It doesn't! So I watched the installation video a number of times and honed my technique and yet three hours later it looks like I've wasted my time and wrecked a very expensive tire and now I have to explain to my customer why I can't fit his 700 x 42 c solid tire to a bike that a 700 x 42 c pneumatic tire fitted on no problem. My hands are sore, I'm going to have an awkward customer conversation and I'm £££££ down. Feels like a sample product not something that is ready for market.
User of tannus tyres for about 6…
User of tannus tyres for about 6 months. covering about 3K miles.
- tyre fitting. different, but i expect most people could do this themselves in about 30mins each tyre.
- rolling resistance - determining the exact effect would be tricky as many factors can change how a bike handles (weather, road surface, rider on a particular day etc.). i feel tannus tyres do not roll as well as Marathon plus, however this is just my opinion.
- Commuting daily. you can not get a puncture. massive plus. however, the 'not' so silky smooth roads of Manchester mean that you feel every imperfection on the road whilst riding (which in my case there are many).
I commute everyday on a fixed gear bike. I commute in sun, rain and even snow. i use the tannus slicks (my preference when purchasing) and i can honestly say they when they have 'worn in' (100 miles or so) they grip as well as any other slicks i have previously used.
I have this week purchased new rims due to wear and could not remove the tyres so have moved to marathon plus. it is not a fair grip comparison as marathon plus are not slick, however I much prefer marathon plus tyres. The rolling resistance and my average speed has improved by 2mph (again many factors could effect this, including new rims and hubs). The main difference to me is that the ride is now much more comfortable, and appears to be more efficient.
Tannus tyres ensure you will get to work/home without having to repair a puncture but you will do so with a very harsh ride (depending on the road quality where you live).
my only real negative area for tannus is cost. 2 x tyres for a 700c x 25 are about £100. 2 x tyres marathon plus were £45 and 2 innertubes were less than £10. marathon plus are half the price and in my personal opinion the better option.
I still have the old rims with the tannus tyre installed and will use as a back up as I know I can just swap the rim and there will be no issues. or I will use them if I am planning to go through a wooded area or potential rough terrain (woods with the kids etc.).
Would i recommend purchasing? that would depend on how you will use them and what is important to you when riding.
Easy install and cleaner than gunk ;)
Fitted the Tannus Armour to my MTB eBike. Installation was straightforward and now riding with the confidence that risk of any punctures has been dramatically reduced.
Also proved to be crush-proof as loaded on a Thule UpRide with no problems
Bad experience
I made an order from Tannus UK a few weeks ago.
From that start was wrong because they forgot to send me the package. After more than a week I've sent them an email to ask what is happened because I didn't receive any tracking number and I didn't know where the package was. The response was "we forgot to send you". Ok, I understood, It happens.
After that, I received the package and there was no invoice inside, neither on email.
I needed it because I made the acquisition as a business and because it's also my right to have it. And here the long emails and waiting have begun because they didn't want to send it.
Very hard to communicate with them, they called me " rude and unprofessional" because, after so many emails where apparently didn't understand what I wan,t I had to bring the word "lawyer". Sorry guys but the whole experience was unpleasant and I will definitely not repurchase from you anymore.

Awesome tyres!
Ordered tyres on Tuesday, they arrived on Friday. Quite difficult to get onto the wheel, assistance definitely required! Tidden properly today to work and back. Quite bumpy tarmac as it’s a path next to the A1. The ride is very firm and I have a bike with no suspension but the freedom of not worrying about a puncture definitely made up for it! Love these tyres!

Great Customer Service
Following on from my last review, where I expressed my disappointment from Tannus' delivery company, I am very pleased to say that Tannus responded immediately, and by the time I got home from work, my tyres were already waiting for me! Haven't had a chance to fix and try out the tyres yet, but I can say that the customer service from Tannus has been excellent.

Terrible for Brompton
I bought these for my Brompton and after struggling in vain to get them on the rim, I called several bike shops from the Tannus website who all refused to help with them as they said it's impossible without a specialist machine for the task.
After finding a shop with the machine, they installed them for me for £30 bringing the total spent to £150 for the two tyres.
Upon riding with the Tannus tyres, I found the rolling resistance so high I struggled to get out of the first two gears on my six speed bike and the amount of effort required greatly increased. Hills became almost impossible.
I asked Tannus if I could return the tyres, and they said they cannot accept damaged tyres back. I ask how I can get them off without damaging them, to which they replied "You can't".
Sure, you will never get a flat tyre, but at the expense of any joy of being on your bike. I have cut these off and gone back to Marathons and now actually enjoy being on my bike again.

Excellent service
Excellent service, delivery in two days from order. Now got these on all three of my bikes, bit of a bugger to fit ( especially the mountain bike tyres) Road tyres are much easier

After a week I'm still waiting delivery…(3 weeks)
After a week I'm still waiting delivery of my tyres. I had an email from Tannus saying the courier couldn't find our address and could I resupply address and contact details. I did this and never heard from Tannus again, or the courier company. I was never sent a tracking number by Tannus or the courier company.
So its been 10 days now and no tyres or any other communication from anybody. Hence a 1 star rating. Maybe it should be 0 stars.
Thank you I have received the courier refund and have fitted the tyres to the bike....Unfortunately the second courier company was worst than the first, creating their own address to deliver to that didn't exist, although there was a second address on the package from the supplier that was correct. The whole thing took 3 weeks to sort out, I agree it wasn't an issue with Tannus themselves. Parcelforce would have been a better choice. I'm changing the star from 1 to 3.
