Terrible product. I am an inner city cyclist, and in a lifetime of cycling I had more flat tyres with Tannus Armour inserts than any other (vanilla) set up because they fail. They seem to be very badl... See more

Tannus Tyres are like no other bicycle tyre on the planet. Being solid, a Tannus Airless Tyre can withstand everything that would normally stop you flat with a pneumatic tyre. Nails, glass, sharp metal objects, and thorns are no longer your enemy.

Very quick turn around came next day
Excellent product and company. Ride is a bit harsh, but other wise performance is uncompromised.
Tires arrived promptly and without trouble. The price was about the same as I had paid for my set of 700c x 25 Bontrager AW3 hard cases, pump and tubes.
I purchased a pair of Tannus orange 700C x 23 slicks for my 1998 fuji team road racer. It is aluminum framed with a kinesis carbon fork.
The tires ride a good bit harder that the bontragers did, and seem to have just a bit less grip over painted parts of the road surface after a rain. Their side slip behavior is very predictable and has not caused me any falls, if anything it has made it easier to bring the bike back under control when slippage does happen. My coasting is about the same, as is acceleration and top speed. The acceleration profile of these tires, and the way they respond to high speed/ high force, is different from a standard pneumatic tire, but going to the smaller tire size seems to have actually reduced overall rolling resistance as compared to the Bontragers. My commute times have decreased by about 1 minute on average, assuming no punctures. My average speed over the course of my somewhat bumpy/hilly 10 mile commute through Baltimore has increased by about 2 mph on average...
Overall I am extremely happy with the tires and the peace of mind they provide. I took them out for a 30 mile group ride, average speed of 14-15 mph and found the tires to not be a hindrance at all. The harshness of the ride does not cause me back pain or joint pain, but I suspect it could add up over the course of years. I highly suggest using a shock stop stem and seat post with these tires (especially the 23 size) I suspect the experience would be extremely comparable to pneumatic tires with such additions, at least in my specific case. My bike has a very good quality aluminum frame, titanium seat post and carbon fork that soak up road vibration and bump shock well, but there is a limit to what they can absorb. The Tannus tires certainly call a bit more attention to that limit than many would like, and than I am willing to risk over the long term.
The peace of mind in regards to flats is fantastic, as it lets me ride as far as I want practically anywhere I want without worrying about becoming stranded. The long effective lifespan of the tires is also a boon, and indicates that, assuming they live their full expected life, they will be a better value in the long run that the bontragers.
I am extremely satisfied with Tannus and their product, and hope they continue improving on their materials and engineering to finally put bikes in a reliability category well beyond cars. Bicycles really are the best way to get around in my opinion, and having quality tires that perform well, and are not a constant liability goes a long way toward opening cycling up to an even wider audience, and elevating cycling as a more reliable means of transport.

Super slow
Super slow. More fatigue due to higher rolling resistance. Probably this tire is perfect for people who use this for commuting everyday. Otherwise, this will suck out the fun in your ride.
Experience with Tannus sales pleasant
Experience with their sales people was pleasant but their product are not so good. Will try to return goods.

I was riding my bike to work every day, and getting at least 2 punctures, a week.
I love my new tyres 2 weeks puncture free, great delivery, and fitting was not as bad as expected.
Happy Cycling.
Great Product
Great Product, arrived quickly. Bit of a struggle fixing tyre onto wheel but once it's on it lasts!

Brilliant product
Brilliant product. Cannot imagine ever going back to traditional tyres. For that matter can't understand why anyone still buys them.
Product is dangerous due to the rolling…
Product is dangerous due to the rolling effect of side to side movement. Not recommended for daily commute or to use in wet weather! Very disappointed in this respect ! Sure no punctures, but not worth losing control. Would not recommend for cycle path ways or road use period. If you are riding very slow and in straight lines with no cornering and suffering punctures a lot then o.k. ,otherwise for safety reasons stick to pneumatic tyres ! Going back to air tyres, pity wasted so much money on Tannus tyres !
The tyres fitted was the 700x35c type. The correct clips were used. The issue with this size is the clip securing to rim x40 hole around circumference as to the overall hight, as the locating holes that are secured by the plastic clips are secure but the tyre itself have to much elasticity, therefore allowing the tyre to be distorted from center point, causing the tyre to flex from side to side therefore allowing grip to road surface issues. Maybe this is only on the larger aspect ratio tyres. (Higher center point of gravity in relation to holes in tyres accommodating clips cause excessive stretch causing side to side rolling effect)
Tannus, you are more than welcome to contact myself. Please provide a contact number and I can better explain. You are welcome to buy the tyres back !
(Ps, I am still waiting for yourselves to e-mail mail me as you have stated in your reply !)
Regards
Tony

No more punctures.
Speedy delivery, two blue slick tyres. Watch the fitting video on “you tube”,read the instructions, fitting quite easy, if not sure get help, even to hold wheel still while fitting in clips.
Ordered on a Sunday, delivered Tuesday, cycling using Tannus tyres Wednesday.
Good support and fast order delivery.
The tyres must be reviewed in respect of your needs
The tyres must be reviewed in respect of the targeted user.
So if you live in the country, with broken wing mirrors from passing cars, farmers cutting thorn bushes, potholes, sharp road chippings, etc THEN buy these.Smooth rolling, easy climb, a liitle bumpy but afetr 100 miles or so the tyres bed in. OK how to fit, use a sewing thimble on your thumb to push in plastic pin into tyre, 3 x Times quicker and easier this way, gives a flush finish into the tyre insert hole. Easier to put on tyre with 2 persons, and 2 cable ties to initailly hold in place. If you live with smooth roads, no manholes, highways agencies that keep roads perfectly clean, then you cna if youwant keep with pneumatics, which will get the odd puncture. for me no more carrying of innr tubes, inflating devices, tyre levers etc, saving weight of course. Roll on, no more frozen fingers in heavy sleety rain and no more cursing the God of the roads because he ordained my puncture at the worst possible time. Roll on into the hills with a laughing confidence, regards David

My wife and I have been riding on Tannus tyres for a few months now. They perform at least as well as our previous (named brand) tyres. The security of knowing that our ride will not be marred by punctures has increased our enjoyment of cycling — I bet there are not many tyre companies that can say that!

Totally sick of punctures.
Sick of punctures and having a seemingly high attrition rate of getting them I've bit the bullet and fitted a pair of these.
Having put a few miles on them now in the dry and wet I can say they roll and grip as well as my gator skins. I used to run a lower PSI of around 100 and can't say I notice the tyre to be too much firmer so comfort is still there. Well as comfortable as road biking gets anyway.
I plumped for the Melon Green colour as I have green accents on my bike and, I think, it looks cool.
The tyres are a complete sod to fit and I hope I never have to remove them for wheel maintenance but I found resting the rim and tyre on a cushion and using some gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet and the supplied S tool I was able to drive the retaining pins home fairly easy come the end.
All in all the price was the delaying factor in buying these but one puncture too many and having a John Cleese as Basil Fawlty moment with my bike at the side of the road was the push it took. Hopefully ill be trouble free for the foreseeable.
A great product as far as I can tell
Received the tyres within 3 working days and I really like their product. The new slick tyres were not straightforward to install but once installed it feels quite nice riding with them. I am not really that bothered by the vibrations, and the tyres are indeed almost impossible to damage. Very satisfied.

Tannus.co.uk didn't have the tyre I had…
Tannus.co.uk didn't have the tyre I had originally ordered in stock (despite website saying it was in stock).
However, I did get a personal phone call to let me know, and to offer an alternative, which was fine by me.
Delivery was within 48 hours despite the stock problem, so I was happy.
Fitting the tyre was hard work, but not complicated. Took 1 hour and I scraped the skin off a couple of my knuckles! I'll do better next time.
After approx 15 miles of riding, I'd say the tyre gives a slightly harder ride than expected, but easily tolerable. And I'd also note the tyre causes the bike to slip very slightly to the side when riding over bumps & ridges. I haven't worked out why! It doesn't seem to be a problem when cornering though.
The Future is Now
Using these Tannus tyres has been an absolute revelation. No more tyre levers, pumps, inner tubes, patches and glue. No more standing in the rain wrestling with an obstinate tyre and a filthy wheel. Best of all, no more of that anxiety about the dreaded 'p' word that plagues all cyclists. Yes, the tyres are a bit tricky at first but I've now done 6 of them and it's a breeze. yes the ride feels a touch harsh at first but soon you hardly notice. Rough roads are - well, rough - but on smooth tarmac these tyres really fly. They run noticeably true as well, cornering at speed as if on rails. I can't see myself ever going back to pneumatics, if I'm honest. Oh, and great service from the Tannus team: speedy delivery and prompt no-questions-asked returns on the one occasion I needed it through my own fault. A fantastic product...and what a relief!
