Fantastic event! Great organisation, wonderful marshals, flat and fast course, lovely location of the race village, lots of food stalls at the finish, donuts waiting at the finish line, fantastic support along the course - overall a fab event! :)

Very impressed
This was my 1st ever event,and i can honestly say that i was very impressed. I couldn't believe how well organised it was and how well it was put together. The support from the volunteers and public was unbelievable, so hats off to everyone involved making this a fantastic event. Keep up the good work,and see you all again next year.

Room for improvement
Grimsby 10k - Water cups are really hard to get when running and hardly got any water in them. Volunteers were holding onto them too tight so couldn’t get them while running.
Presentation took far too long, results where wrong, couldn’t hear the microphone and only 1st place was handed out.
Also the start line wasn’t policed properly with two ladies taking over an hour to complete the race standing on the start line. This is really dangerous as they could have been trampled on.

With regards to your feedback points....
All of the young volunteers on our water stations are advised on how to hand over a cup of water to our runners. We will re-iterate this at their briefings for future races. thank you.
With in excess of 100 trophies to present this is naturally going to take a considerable amount of time with this generous prize pool.
We are unaware that any of the results are incorrect. You were sent an e mail advising how to resolve any results queries that you may have.
We agree that the pa system could have been louder. You will not be aware that just before the race started that the generator powering the pa system failed. Our team did an awesome job in such a short space of time to put an alternate plan in place, which unfortunately meant less power output.
Your comment about only first place being handed out is incorrect.
With over 2500 runners at the race runners have to take personal responsibility as to where they start the race according to their ability. It is impossible for our start line team to police this in any way.

Great grimsby 10k was a really well planned event, tape2tape really pulled this off. Its the second event I have participated in with them (lincs half) being the other and both times they have been amazing

Fantastic event
Fantastic event, thoroughly recommend it. Really well organised, the event information you get in advance is second to none, they really give you all the info you need in plenty of time so you’re fully organised. The event on the day was well managed, well marshalled, and the support from the local community was fantastic.

Just completed the Grimsby 10k, an amazing race as always. Well organised, great atmosphere and lots of communication from the organisers. I have run many races around the world and tape2tape ones are my favourite and I return to so them every year.

Nice flat scenic course.
Jelly babies were genuinely a massive boost at 10 miles and helped me finish the race!
Would probably go for the bottled water option next time though guys as half of it got spilled on the floor!😃but still a great effort.

As well as providing a safe and enjoyable race day experience for all of our runners we are very conscious of our obligations to the environment, this is why we use recyclable paper cups at our water stations, which we recycle. We are looking to extend this to the post race drink too at all of out future races, but still making sure we provide sufficient water to allow runners to rehydrate.
