I ordered faucet needed PayPal’s help

I ordered a bathroom faucet from Taps Depot LTD. On October 20th sent email saying order being processed, on October 21 I was sent an email saying the order was ready to be delivered once shipping invoice is paid your order will be shipped automatically and you’ll receive a tracking number. I paid shipping on October 25. *All through PayPal. November 3rd I sent a follow-up email asking for information regarding delivery. Received a canned reply thanking me for the email and that a rep will respond in 1-2 business days. No reply followed.
November 10 I called gave the gentlemen my order number and he put me on hold. Then said the package had been misplaced in the warehouse. He said he was going to take care of it himself. The following week having not received tracking number I called again. They said they checked the box and ordered a missing part from the manufacturer. I said I would have liked a heads up but that I appreciated the professionalism. I called back on November 25th, this time they said they had not received the faucet.(WHAT?!)When I told him they had said they were missing just a part he “oh yes,yes,yes…that.”
I finally lost my patients on December 9th when I called requesting a tracking number for the package. I said I would like either a tracking number for the package or a refund. He asked me to open his website and read the description under the product which gives shipping information. And I said thats fine but you sent me an email over a month ago saying you were ready to ship and I have been contacting you weekly where the story keeps shifting. Long story I contacted PayPal requesting a refund. I uploaded the emails. He contested and called me which made me laugh because it was the first time! December 19 he sent a tracking number to PayPal. I received a package with amazon labeling and broken pieces of some sorta foam inside. I took pictures and sent it to PayPal. I received my refund. Buyer beware, save and document all communications, use 3rd party payment methods to protect yourself. I will not be ordering from them again.

Definitely recommend the store

Great experience at Taps Depot. Super helpful staff and really good quality products. They took the time to explain everything and didn’t rush me at all. Definitely coming back.

Should be 0 stars. This company is a scam. They take payment, in my case $600 more then agreed that they will “credit you after delivery” then provide countless excuses why the product is delayed, then you need to pay more for delivery, then it’s delayed because they moved warehouses. They take payment and then try to run out the clock for making a claim against them. Total scam.

Wish I could give this less than one star!
I'll add my voice to the others here - THIS IS A SCAM business.
I have been played along for almost a year on an order that should have taken about 6 to 8 weeks to obtain. "Sam" will answer your call and promise to "check with his boss", ask you to call back in week, put you on hold indefinitely to that infernal Christmas music. Multiple emails are unanswered.
Although I realize I've been scammed to the tune of $170, I am approaching VISA to see if this can in be reversed due to this business clearly having no intention to deliver this item to me, and will also be reporting this site to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre in the hopes that others will not fall for this fraudulent business.
Please do NOT order anything from this business, and spread the word if you can!

No Item Received or Refund Received After 6 Months

Stay away from this company. They take your money and do not deliver any product. Lots of excuses.

Ordered an in-stock Delta towel bar in May 2025 and as at mid-November 2025 have not received the product or a refund.

Followed-up via email 4 times with Taps and received a different excuse each time. Like other reviewers, they advised no refund as it is a custom order, even though is standard in the catalogue. Have not received any reply to my last follow-up start of November.

Submitted a credit card fraud to my bank and a case to the Canada anti-fraud department. Responses pending from both.

Unethical vendor

The part I ordered appears to be a knockoff and it took several weeks longer to arrive than advertised. They also overcharged sales tax and were unwilling to refund the error. Credit card companies won't do much to help so avoid this vendor like the plague.

horrific customer service, hidden costs all the time, very evasive in providing info, sounds like they run the business from their house. product will take several months to get even tho it says 10 days and alot of pushing to get the info on product DO NOT use them save yourself the hassle and stress

Scam

If I could give them less than one, I would. I ordered a part. They shipped the part, from a cheaper brand/manufacturer. They are a total scam. The reviews here are accurate.

Do no order from Taps Depot. You order a brand name product, and they ship you something completely different that they sourced from Amazon. When a refund was requested, they reference their no refund policy.

Bizarre

Bizarre. Ordered, and received confirmations as well as a note that my faucet was ready for pickup, but then nothing. I've called countless times and listened to that Christmas music mentioned in another post. So infuriating for the $$ and the delays on my Reno. I will be launching a dispute. Please do not order anything from here.

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. I never received an invoice or any proper communication about my order. When I reached out for clarification, instead of resolving the issue, the staff were unprofessional and even raised their voice at me. Completely unacceptable behavior for any business. Missing invoices, lack of transparency, and yelling at customers show a complete disregard for basic customer service. I would never recommend this company.

scam! Watch out

I ordered a sink, then canceled within 10 minutes as I was not sure of the shipping cost. I got No response from them. I then asked for the shipping cost. No response. Then a couple of months later, after a phone call, I got an email that my item is ready for pick up. If I need to ship it out, contact the info email. I then asked them to ship it out and the cost of shipping. They said they would send me the link for shipping, the cost will show there. Then I noticed a small line in the email stating they can not guarantee if the item is broken when I receive. I did not receive any link from them. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I believe I have lost my money. I would not pay for delivery, I will end up losing more money for a broken sink.

These people steal money

These people steal money. I placed an order, canceled it within an hour, after being assured on the phone that if I canceled it they would return my money. They did not. I opened a dispute. They told me if I canceled the dispute they would return my money. They did not.

I don't even know if this is a real company, but as of right now they have about $1500 of my dollars, and I am trying to get it back. These people are dishonest.

Took 6 months to get what I ordered

took 6 months to get what I ordered. Didn't respond to emails and voicemails. Only way to get a response was a call. When I told them I didn't receive what I had ordered they asked me "are you sure you didn't receive it". Kept me on hold for an hour before telling me my item was sent to someone else by accident. When I was finally what I ordered and it was wrong.

DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED BUSINESS. I believe they are fake. I will be getting in touch with the Ontario small claims court on Monday and initiating a claim. I have ordered two toilets and paid close to $2k for them, so it is worth my while to try to get some of that money back and spend money on a claim..even if it takes a long time. I have been hung up on, left on hold for 20 minutes, with Christmas music playing in June. No response to polite, patient emails and then not polite emaiIs, but demanding emails. I was told my order was shipped, (which cost a lot) and that I would be given a tracking number. I had to follow up and then given a bogus shipping company and bogus tracking #'s. This is a scam company..stay away. I don't think they rate any star really. I believe they need to be shut down, as I don't believe this is a real business, but people using phones and the website. Very fancy and complete website. Staff are quick to take your money. If possible I will also see if I am able to request charges be filed against this so called Ltd. company. I would not like for anyone to be lied to and ripped off their hard earned money, the way I have been. This is a BAD, BAD, BAD enterprise...STAY AWAY

Terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

This company will not refund after I purchased a toilet for what they claim as a special order. Sadly, I removed my existing toilet because it had broken. For two months I have waited to get my product and nothing arrived. Multiple email requests for a delivery date were either ignored or I was told to wait longer with no clear estimated delivery times. When I asked to cancel, they told me I couldn't, and told me read their crazy terms. Seriously, if I had known these terms were so ridiculous, I would have never made this purchase in the first place. To add insult to injury, after reading into their terms, I realized they charge for delivery, which isn't unusual, but they do not calculate the charges during the order process, so you essentially have to pay twice to get your product. Their customer service is beyond poor. I'm just an average guy with a wife and two kids and a tight budget. We have a serious need for a toilet and not a lot of money to give away, but most importantly, we can't really afford to wait for a toilet. Avoid this company at all costs. I will be disputing my charges with the bank and I will tell anyone who is searching for home building equipment to avoid this website at all costs. Seriously, stay away!

DONT NOT ORDER FROM THIS 3rd party joke…

DONT NOT ORDER FROM THIS 3rd party joke of a company!! April 25th ordered on their website a part that was advertised as in stock and available for delivery within 2 days. Here we are May 12th and my order has not arrived. They act as the middleman when it comes to parts & don’t inform customers that they are special order and take longer. Parts will be advertised cheaper but then they hit you with an overpriced delivery fee which ends up costing you more than had you ordered directly from the manufacturer. Meisam as a customer service representative is joke and unhelpful at every stage of the process. Did not inform me that the part was special order. He marked my order as complete when they had not received it yet & had I not called them out on it may not have been corrected. I was then assured that my order was to be collected for delivery May 8th. Again I had to call to be told some excuse about the courier not having drivers for two days! Instead of sending customers gift cards for Starbucks and asking them write positive lies in their reviews about your company and service, spend those resources on training Meisam on proper customer service expectations, etiquette and communication. Order directly from the manufacturer will save you time & money.
