Probably a whiz for a techy person, but I am not one so it took me a little while to figure it out. The Youtube video was helpful but the woman's voice on the video was not very clear.

First time user. Love the process, but very frustrated trying to understand why I have to deal with filing state reconciliation returns, when there were no state taxes withheld on the 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC

Love the email received once IRS accepts the claims,
I was unsure how it worked if a 1099 was rejected and corrected, and whether the corrected 1099 would be sent to the IRS. It needs to be documented somewhere that a 1099 was corrected after checking the EIN and information. Overall, you have come a long ways.

Be aware of several major red flags when using Tax1099 (Zenworks).
Our company produces over 600 Forms 1099 each year, and transferring this volume of data from QuickBooks to the IRS is already a complex and time-consuming process. QuickBooks promotes Tax1099 as its partner for seamless filing, yet the process is anything but seamless. Even with assistance from Intuit support staff, completing the filing can take three hours or more.
After finally reaching the last step and clicking “Complete,” we discovered that additional paid services, including 1099 mailing and a TIN matching service, had been automatically selected on our behalf without clear disclosure or affirmative consent. These add-on services significantly increased the total cost of filing.
To remove the unwanted charges, we were required to go back through the entire filing process again to manually uncheck the extra services, causing additional time and frustration after an already lengthy process. Despite attempting to correct this, one paid service, the TIN matching option, was inadvertently left selected. This resulted in a charge of over $600 for a service we did not intend to purchase.
We noticed the charge within approximately one hour and immediately attempted to contact Tax1099 by phone multiple times. Each call went unanswered and ultimately disconnected. We then sent multiple follow-up emails requesting assistance and a refund. To date, we have received no response and have effectively been ghosted.
Tax1099 has refused to refund the charge, citing “human error,” despite the fact that the error was facilitated by a system that automatically preselects paid add-ons and provides no meaningful customer support when issues arise.
This practice feels deceptive and manipulative, particularly for businesses handling high-volume filings under strict deadlines. Automatically preselecting paid services at the final stage creates unnecessary pressure, increases the risk of accidental overbilling, and leaves customers without recourse when mistakes occur.
Businesses should proceed with extreme caution when using Tax1099 and carefully review every selection before final submission.

I used this service for over 7 years, but recently they put a deceptive Prepay button on and fraudulently charged my card $249 when my annual spend is les than $100 (and the order I was trying to pay for was $37). This has never been an option before, I always paid by order for each of my clients. I will stop using this software because it's not easy to use anymore and deceptive. I'm disappointed as all of my data is loaded into here, but I'm a tech savvy person and they took advantage to get some upfront cash. This is not ethical nor acting in good faith.

I tried to work with Zenwork, but the experience with their sales rep was really disappointing. She was constantly unavailable — always “at a conference in Vegas” or “traveling” and it often took several days just to get basic replies. When she did respond, the answers weren’t clear or helpful.
Overall, it came across as unprofessional and left me feeling like my time wasn’t valued. I eventually gave up and went with another provider who was far more responsive and organized.

I chose Zenwork based on a written quote their sales team presented to me as final. I accepted the offer immediately and made my vendor decision in good faith. Only after I accepted did they inform me that the price was being changed—without any prior notice, clarification, or acknowledgment that the original offer had not been internally approved.
What made the situation worse was the lack of a sincere apology or accountability from leadership, despite the clear breakdown in communication coming from their side. Responses also regularly took 3–4 business days, which made the entire process slow and frustrating—especially as we were approaching year-end when timelines matter.
I ultimately decided not to move forward because the experience did not reflect the level of professionalism or reliability I expected. A quote presented to a customer as “final” should not be reversed afterward, and customers should not have to request basic acknowledgment of mistakes.
Very disappointing experience overall.

Hands down the most unprofessional, incompetent, and unresponsive company I’ve ever come across. Their system is glitchy, unreliable, and riddled with errors, and when something goes wrong (which it will) they’ll blame you instead of fixing it.
Customer service is a joke. They take forever to respond, offer zero real help, and refuse to take accountability for their own system issues. It’s shocking how a company handling sensitive financial data can operate with such negligence and lack of care.
I strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere. This company does not deserve your trust, your money, or your business.

Easy to use. A great price and comes in handy in a clutch making corrections way easier than the way we had to before.

I’ve had a horrible experience with this service. My forms have been in pending status for over 10 months. When I contacted support, the representative simply said there were “issues with the Social Security department.” There was no pop-up warning, no notification, and nothing in the software indicating this problem.
Very poor communication and zero transparency. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a filing service. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here.

20ish years using QB desktop then QB payroll then add Turbotax Business then add Tax1099 then add FINCEN BOI reports and W2 and 941 and 944 and every piece of data including bloodsample from banging my head on keyboard. Everything Everyone Everywhere all linked to the biggest group of hackers. FincenBoi form cost 50 bucks and was made worthless under the Traumpstick white house.
