They are always corresponding in a timely fashion. There has not been an issue when I needed some adjustments or questions resolved. Everything has always been resolved quickly.

We got involved with TAXRISE in April , 2023 . They charged us an initial fee of $ 350 for review . After the review we were promised they could solve our tax issues and the charge was $ 15,000.00 They arranged the loan for that amount . After they did absolutely nothing to resolve tax issues , failed to meet deadlines and constantly asked for more info which resulted in the IRS placing levies and liens on our property in April , 2024 . We found a reputable company to work with the IRS to correct the damage done by TAXRISE . After arguing with them for the last 18 months they agreed to cancel the loan and refund the amounts paid . Well that was 2 months ago and nothing but lie after lie . We were told the refund would take up to 10 days . They actually gave us 3 different phone numbers for the loan company that issued the loan . After we contacted each of them , they had nothing in our names with their company. TAXRSIE IS A TOTAL SCAM !!!! We currently have 33 others who have been damaged by this company and have a plan in the works to file Class action against them . I am sure there are hundreds if not more ripped off by this bogus company !!! If you are one , please contact us .

We engaged TaxRise, Inc. to help resolve an existing IRS tax issue. At the time we contacted them, we already had an active IRS installment agreement of $302 per month, which was current and in good standing.

During the onboarding process, TaxRise aggressively pressured us to pay approximately $4,000 upfront, offering credit card payment or full payment. When that was not feasible, they encouraged us to take out a loan through their recommended loan provider, which ultimately cost $4,800 including interest. We are now paying over $200 per month to service that loan.

TaxRise explicitly instructed us to stop making our IRS installment payments during their review and negotiation period, stating this was part of their process. Based on that guidance, we stopped paying the IRS for several months.

After this pause, TaxRise informed us that the best and only solution available was the same $302/month IRS installment plan we already had before hiring them. No reduction, renegotiation, or alternative resolution was achieved.

As a result of following TaxRise’s instructions, the IRS is now threatening to terminate our installment agreement, and we are required to pay approximately $900 in back payments immediately to reinstate compliance.

We are now financially worse off than before engaging TaxRise:

$302/month IRS installment payment (unchanged)

$200+ per month loan repayment for TaxRise’s fees

Additional IRS penalties and arrears caused by stopping payments at TaxRise’s direction

In summary, we paid thousands of dollars for a service that produced no improvement over our original situation, and we suffered direct financial harm by following their advice to stop paying the IRS. We believe the services were misrepresented, the risks were not clearly disclosed, and the guidance we received was financially damaging.

I thought tax rise would have access to get the firms necessary to take care of my taxes this is very time consuming although everyone is very friendly I just feel like I am doing the work I have no idea what’s going on with my taxes

TaxRise decieves taxpayers that really need a tax advocate to assist us with back taxes. In 2023 we
Sought the service of Taxrise it is now over 12 months since we paid Tax rise for their services that was not provided.

We had failed to file taxes for my husband's pension income in 2021 as it was his first year of retirement and we did not know that pension income was taxable. We paid Taxrise $2500 for their proposed service. The company did not live up to their promise to lower our tax penalty. They took our money and did not deliver on their service promise.
We feel Taxrise takes advantage of people instead of helping people. Worse yet their staff didnot know what they're doing. Tax payer beware!!

We sought the services of Tax Rise in March of 2023 and they cancelled their services as our advocate December 2024 without delivering on the tax resolution of $3000.00 that they submitted to us
In a letter and in writing, stating the amount of $3000.00 reduction in penalties was negotiated with the IRS. We were informed by the ITS that a penalty reduction was not submitted nor agreed upon. We paid the Tax Rise $2400.00 for services promised but not delivered. We reported our concern to their Quality Services Department and an QA Manager was assigned to our case. The QA Manager stated that he was working to resolve our concern with their contact from the IRS and had us fill out another form for seeking a reduction to our tax penalties. We did not hear back from their QA Manager so we reached out several times afterwards to get an update to no avail. Then in December we recieved a cancellation of our services with Tax Rise. Tax Rise was paid for services and did not deliver n services promised.
