TAX TREE are a total joke

TAX TREE are a total joke, they took my partner's tax refund and refused to pay it back. Tried phoning but it's a waste of time, sent numerous emails but no reply. Why HMRC send refunds to this scam company is beyond me.
Next step will be Action fraud and the ombudsman.
Stay well clear.

Total rip off. Take 40% of what HRMC will pay you back anyway and then another 40% of any future rebates unless you unsubscribe. Do not use these people !

HOW DO I CANCEL TAX TREE ????????

All I want to do is CANCEL this company and it seems to be impossible. Tried email and telephone, no answers.
I do NOT trust this 'company' and want to stop them from 'dealing' with my TAX affairs.
My next move will be my lawyer, don't care how much it costs, I will get to the bottom of this !

I can not get any reply from emails i have sent to Tax Tree . The returned my cheque to HMRC in November for over £700 as they agreed that the signature was not mine on the form they received and i never gave authority to claim my tax on a PPI and HMRC said they only accept physical Payments like a BACS transfer do not accept cheques so Tax Tree are liable for theft of my money and they have to prove that the cheque has been cashed by HMRC which it hasn't so HMRC have asked me to contact them one more time and If they not get this resolved then I have to call HMRC back

Completely shocked to receive an email…

Completely shocked to receive an email from the HMRC to confirm that they have issued a cheque for my tax overpayment to Tax Tree. I have no idea who these people are and am in total shock that third parties can actually submit fraudulent claims and get away with it. I have emailed Tax Tree twice and yet to receive a response. How the HMRC even send our money out like this is beyond me! Absolutely ridiculous!

NO STARS

This company does not respond to emails and definitely do not answer the phone. The only option that does not instruct you to send an email is if you are paying them! Even then they cut your call off. Never known anything like it .
They have money belonging to me. I had never heard of this company.
I am.not prepared to give them months to respond.
I will take the following steps if they don't contact me within days.

DONT TRUST THIS CO.

DONT TRUST THIS CO.
Several months ago I saw a taxtree ad saying they could claim back over paid tax on ppi payouts. I asked them to handle my claim and subsequently I received a letter saying I was owed £171.84 which I would receive in due course. During the `due course` period I received several more emails assuring me it was all in hand. Finally in a letter dated 25/01/2024 I received another letter saying they were in possession of a cheque from HMRC and would I pay them their commission of £77.28 which I did by bank transfer.Since then nothing, it seems impossible to speak to anyone and the email address they give out is invalid.

Fraudulent tax rebate claim

This company claimed a tax refund on my behalf in July 2023. They do not answer emails or have a contact phone number. I have never given permission for them to act on my behalf. Reported to Action for Fraud. Hopefully HMRC will eventually stop dealing with this bunch of thieves!
