Further to my previous post where I stated I did not know who this company was I feel obliged to make comment. On writing my original post a representative of this company stating they would provide me with evidence I had requested they acted upon my behalf that day. Surprise surprise I received no evidence and no response to the email I sent them.
On 20th April I received another email requesting money and today a letter in the post reminding me I owe them money. I have again sent an email requesting this evidence and funnily enough no response.
Surely if I had actually requested this company to represent me then this evidence would have been provided to me immediately.

Scam company they received my money in February but have not sent it to me, won't answer emails, not seen a penny, avoid

Got in touch with TaxTree in August last year, on the offchance that I may have something to claim back. Of the money I was due, I got back just over half, despite the promise of a fee of a third of the money. I'd suggest writing directly to HMRC in future. Don't touch these guys.

Received a letter from HMRC last year to say a refund had been sent to Taxtree. Never heard of them. No money forwarded to me. No answer to email saying I wanted nothing to do with their company. They are a bunch of crooks and a company to avoid.

It seems to be the same story for everyone. I received notice my refund was paid to Taxtree in February. I’ve emailed, contacted them on their website and had no response. I did manage to speak to someone by using option 5 on their automated system, done this twice now, a weeks ago and today.
Just got home from holiday to find my check on the doormat 30th April

I received a letter from HMRC 28th Feb informing me that Tax Tree had received money on my behalf, so ever since i have been trying to contact them to find out what the situation is and when will they be passing on the tax payment to me. I have never had a reply not even a notification that they have received one of the several emails I've sent. There is no contact telephone number. So it seems the way to get a response is to go on every social media platform and make your opinion none.
Further to your Trustpilot reply, the 24th April.
You replied to my email as soon as you saw my review, asking me to send you a copy of my HMRC letter which i did, Nevertherless you said you could not open the attachment so i sent you two deferent formats copies. I presume you have recieved this letter now. If so I will update my review on receipt of my payment

Received information from HMRC that they had sent my tax refund to Taxtree, I haven’t received any communication from Taxtree. I have emailed them 6 times no response and tried to call them but no one answers the phone. Definitely a con, enjoy my money Taxtree!!

This company have used my details from an old PPI I made through Claimeazy years ago. I have never received any communication from them regarding a claim that I have made or agreed to for the PPI tax back. Having emailed and waited for a response because you actually can't speak to anyone on the phone which is disgusting. I received an email today stating I owe them money and that I had signed t&c's to that affect which was attached to the email, but when I finally found a piece of software that would open the document it wasn't even my signature and wasn't even dated. Also, the email contains a threat of debt collectors and additional charges if I don't pay up the £24.24. This has been reported to action fraud and I will also be going to the ICO for using historical data that I have not agreed for you to use. I will also be requesting all of my details through the freedom of information act regarding this as I DO NOT authorise you retain my personal information nor did I give my consent to go to any body including HMRC on my behalf. My driving licence can be the proof its not my signature.
I have emailed several times and you do not respond or communicate. The data you have sent as proof is not my signature and there is no date in site. HMRC have me told me your claim was rejected as you did not have authority. I will be obtaining the full file as evidence from HMRC which I written to them for. Again, I will email I am telling you now to remive my data as you are GDPR as well as fraud. I DO NOT GIVE YOU AUTHORITY TO CLAIM ON MY BEHALF!!

In reply to comment made by Kerry to my comment. She obviously lives in cuckoo land. I have sent 15 emails with only 3 replies the last two just a short no informative comment. I have been blunt to her with my words but does not know what these simple blunt words mean. Kerry if you are truly head of operations have the intelligence to at least admit Taxtree is a scam.

I received a letter from HMRC back in Jan 2023 to say a tax refund had been issued. I hadn't had anything end of Feb so called them. They advised me that the cheque was to do with Tax Tree and to contact them? I spoke to Tax Tree and was advised the cheque was being sent out. It's now then end of March and still nothing! They don't respond to emails or messages. As they haven't been in contact at any point I can only assume that they have no intention of paying the money out to me that they have claimed from HMRC. I will be taking this further as they have made a claim using me and have kept the money. I do believe that is fraud!
Update...
This is the response back from them.
"I have again just now asked that the finance team deal with this for you - I have no control over their work load unfortunately but I have done all I can do. As for the reviews on Trust Pilot people tend to write reviews when they feel they have a reason to complain. This is mostly due to not reading our Terms of engagement correctly, or listening to us when we explain the turnaround time for refunds. People do not tend to write a review when they are happy with the service and I can assure you that we have many many more very happy customers"
And this is how they speak to people!

I emailed Tax Tree on 09/03/23 and also wrote a review here. I read all the reviews saying scam and that may be correct for some of you, but if you got a letter from HMRC, chase it up with Tax Tree.
They replied to me within 1 week and stated that the cheque was posted on 9th March. Is this a coincidence that it was the same day I chased them, probably not!
My thoughts are that a lot will think it's a scam and then not get in touch with them to claim your money! Tax Tree will happily keep your money in their bank earning them interest as well as the 40% cut they take. I did get that cheque and got over £200 back.
So my advise, write a review, write an email, don't give any more details other than name and date of claim, poss part of NI Number and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Kerry from taxtree emailed me after seeing review on here. I explained the situation and she dealt with my issues. Two weeks later I received my money.
After getting a letter from hmrc about tax refund on the 8th January I emailed tax tree on the 30th January .I’ve never heard of them and asked for my money . They said I had completed a form and signed it and to upload the letter from hmrc, which I did. I asked for a copy of my signature which I’ve never received, they said they would send the money when they received it. I told them to check their records as the money was with them . It’s now 22nd March and I still haven’t had any further communication or money. This is a massive scam. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I received a letter from HMRC saying I’m owed a refund and it’s been sent to TAX TREE, even though I made the claim through claim eazy.
I’ve had no email no correspondence.
This was nearly a month ago now. Can’t speak to anyone on the phone.
I have recently had a reply. I’m still waiting for the cheque, but at least I know it’s now being dealt with.
It would be nice for a little more communication, or at least an option to speak to someone.
Thank you Kerry for replying!
I’ve received my cheque, after the review the communication with Kerry was much better.
I’m still waiting on a smaller cheque as there was 2 claims. I’m hopeful I will get it soon.

Appalling Service, the website doesn't exist. They take your money from HMRC and you get nothing.
