I have used Taylors for several times now and felt I needed to do a review as the quality and service has been brilliant. The plants are so superior to any I have seen in my local garden centres. I was amazed after opening the parcels which are excellently packed. It's so encouraging to be able to support local business and receive such wonderfully grown plants. You get an excellently produced catalogue that details all the care you need for your plant and information on a miriade of other varieties.

Good website packed with loads of useful growing and care information. Purchased my first clematis from them five years ago and it has been wonderful. this year absolutely covered with almond scented blossom. Plants were great, well packaged and all grew on well. Just bought 5 more and I am sure they will all be brilliant.

The clematis I bought was to remember my late aunt. It was packaged brilliantly even yodel couldn’t destroy it! Was surprised how large this lovely plant was but delighted. Would recommend this garden centre

I have just received three clematis via post from Taylor’s clematis and must say I’m extremely impressed with the promptness of the delivery and also the way that the plants were packed and the lovely condition they were in when they arrived. From ordering to delivery was only two days. Having bought plants online before I was quite wary but I would have no hesitation in ordering from this company again. Highly recommended 😊

I wish I had read the reviews, good (some of which are suspiciously adulatory) and bad, before ordering. And there were the warning signs such as, in bold capitals, "Sorry We Are Not Open To The Public" and no phone number on the website, though I did eventually find one, but don't waste your time: nobody ever answers it. It is much better to see how a company behaves when things go wrong rather than when things go well. It is clear from some other negative reviews here that the company is not customer friendly. I ordered several clematis from Taylor's. After a few months one failed...it had not survived the winter frosts in spite of being advertised as fully hardy. When I contacted the company for a replacement or refund they didn't want to know pointing out their terms and conditions where it was stated that it was impossible for them to consider complaints after 14 days of purchase and putting the failure down to every possible circumstance rather than to their own plant's failings. I have bought many plants over the years and they have rarely failed. On the couple of previous occasions when a plant did fail I have had a refund or a replacement without a problem. It is clear that Taylor's, once it has your money (and the plants are not cheap), is not interested in the customer. So my advice is avoid.
Edit: 3 of the 4 clematis I had ordered have now died. I shall be contacting the company again. But I don't hold out much hope.

I recently placed my first order with Taylors, for three Montanas. They arrived, on one of the days requested, and within the time frame notified.
They were packed extremely well and the plants were in excellent condition.
Taylors grow and stock a great range, varieties you can’t always find in local nurseries.
So if you want the very best selection of clematis and prompt delivery, order with confidence from Chris and Suzy, they won’t let you down.

Re: the 'Josephine' clematis I ordered for my Mum's birthday.
The delivery, packaging, info booklet and gift card were all great and my Mum is really pleased with it. She commented on how healthy the plant was with new green leaves.
So pleased I made the decision to order through these guys.

I ordered a Clematis from Taylors Clematis to be delivered to my sister in the Highlands of Scotland. On receipt my sister advised me that the plant was beautifully packed and was a very healthy and strong plant. Also I must say that Chris and Suzy have been most helpful over this order. The plants I ordered arrived promptly, extremely well packaged and were fantastic healthy plants even better than described. Highly recommended.

We bought two clematis from Taylors last year to go against a re-built wall. Recommended by a friend. One seemed to die, probably because the builders tramped on it when they came back to correct a couple of things, the other was moved 4 or 5 times as they kept changing their minds about how to address one problem. I rescued the 'dead' one and put it in a pot, re-planting it last November. Slowly, both began to come back to life and, in September, they were happily spreading up the wall and along the fence. I have not had such resilient clematis before and shall only ever buy from Taylors from now on! The 'date of experience' is the date I wrote to thank Taylors.

Oh my goodness what a great experience it has been buying from Taylor’s Clematis! Plants locally were sad looking but the two I received from Taylors are in perfect health and condition and I was amazed at the choice and speed of delivery. Have recently moved and have a small garden but will just have to find space for some more plants from this seller.

I have recently bought a winter beauty, on planting it I was delighted to find that the plant was doubled over so it is already quite large, and is a very healthy plant.
