Unprofessional

[Bradley Stoke Branch] Unprofessional! Last minute change in move-in date and late contract drafting, both only 2 days before the agreed move-in date, even though referencing was cleared at least 3 weeks beforehand.

At check-in, they couldn't provide the correct house front door key. Embarrassing! Inventory report was not shared at check-in despite promised to have it sent on check-in day. Only shared when chased.

Multiple maintenance issues including Health & Safety issues (which they don't agree), none are fixed after three weeks despite regular chasing. No one in the property management team nor the branch team are proactive to resolve any problem. Not recommended!

Booked to view a property in bradley…

Booked to view a property in bradley stoke by someone called Joe. He rang in the morning to confirm, we went for our viewing for no one to turn up for at least 10 - 15 minutes late, then he didn't have the keys and had no idea how to get in and said his phone doesn't work. He then walked off after cancelling our viewing, soon after another couple turned up to view the property and they were there to meet the same agent who they called to come straight back, he came back and give the same excuses to the next couple

Completely unprofessional and wasted our time, I took time from work to view this property.

1 star because I could leave less!!!

I booked a viewing with Ryan Eatwell on the 02/08/2024 for a property in west Swindon.

I had put in a offer and was advised by Ryan Eatwell that a manager would call me back i heard nothing after 1 week.

On the 13/08/2024 I had sent Ryan Eatwell an email (see below)

Good morning, Ryan

It's been 1 week and haven't heard anything from you or your manager.

Can you please update me in regarding the property?

Many thanks

Taylors don't answer the phones and have not responded to my email.

Talyors if you had to no intention to respond to customers emails you should not be in business its unprofessional.

Please remove my details from your system.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I would have given a zero star rating but it would only allow 1 star. Avoid at all cost. I would never recommend this company along with Jjl interiors Ltd landlords to anyone. The communication from the both of them is extremely shocking. I rented out a property which seemed to be all good. However, once moved in, there was problem after problem. Which every problem was reported back to them as things needs repairing. From leaks in the roof, sewer drain backing up into the toilet and sink, rats running around, mould growing up the side of the wall in the kitchen, no fascia on the outside wall where the rats were getting in. these were main things that I reported starting back in July 2023, in which I had to chase them up constant to try and get these sorted as these are something that should be a big priority. Upon emails and phones calls that were sent, still nothing was done. They eventually got someone to come out after months, to look at the roof and done a horrendous job as the roof still leaked. They were supposed to put the fascia on but left it on the floor in the garden. I sent a picture of the rats to them and still done nothing. The sewer drain kept backing up and flooding the garden with sewage which backed up coming back up into the toilet. I reported the drain in the November and nothing got done. With the rain pours that we had did not help with it at all. There were so many other minor problems that I had yet to report such as the front door dropped so it was difficult to lock/unlock, no seal in the living room window so you can see outside, the living room light and dining room light were wired wrong as one switch did not work and the other would turn both of them on and off at the same time, when the gas had an inspection the engineer said that it was earthed wrong, I could go on with so many other issues but I didn’t get around to reporting them due to trying to get the other issues sorted. The communication is shocking. June this year I had a contractor come out to look at the roof after months of reporting that roof still leaks, he came and didn’t do anything because he said that whoever patched it up did a really bad job that the whole roof needs replacing. This was the last straw and managed to end my agreement. Now on the next problem, the tenancy ended at the beginning of July last month and now the landlord has the audacity to deduct money off my deposit for cleaning deductions, which I had left the property in high standard and clean which I have photos and videos to prove how I left it. He is only giving me just over half of my deposit back. And I’m still trying to get any of my deposit back and now trying to get an answer from the agency and landlord seem impossible. The stress that the agency and landlord have put me through since I moved in has been awful. They made the house look nice etc until you move in and see the close ups which turn out to be horrible patched up work. I just want my deposit back and be on my way but they cant even seem to do that. Considering they have a 90 day period where they hold your deposit for, they don’t seem to be in any rush giving it back. I will be taking this further as I haven’t heard anything back yet again and have none of my deposit back!

Joe Ashton

Joe Ashton - Stevenage base.
From the first viewing to exchanging and completing Joe was amazing. He constantly was chasing unanswered questions from other companies ensuring we had the correct answers in a quick time. He was ALWAYS contactable and able to answer our questions, making our first house buy so much easier. He was thorough one our first house viewing showing us each room and able to answer all questions we had in such detail.
10/10.
Thank you again Joe for making our first house purchase such a great experience!

Everything what people say it’s true

Everything what people say it’s true . Money grabbing thieves . They will find anything to cut your deposit plus the responses are non existing and slow timing on everything.
I’ve rented before from Alan Francis and there was no problems. They also will do some measures every few weeks just to be a pain . I’ll be contacting certain authorities and it’s been two months and still no deposit

Avoid!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I would never rent from this or any other associated companies ever again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The experience I had from the time my tenancy ended until I had my deposit partially returned was nothing short of farcical. Their lack of communication and unwillingness to help or address any of my concerns made the process of moving significantly more stressful than it needed to be. They were far more interested in money, they have no desire to provide a decent service for their tenants.

I ended up losing a portion of my deposit for which was completely unnecessary cleaning purely due to the fact that I was given the run around from the day I moved out. Had I not reluctantly agreed this saga would still be ongoing and I wouldn't have had any of my money returned. They repeatedly lied about the reason for a sudden increase in this pricing, refused point blank to provide an invoice, refused to listen to any concerns I had and effectively refused to discuss anything until I threatened to seek legal advice. Only then did I receive a phone call. This person was unable give any reason or address any of my concerns, and could not tell me why I was unable to have any sort of invoice. They also lied that the landlord had contacted me when he had not.

Even after agreeing to pay these (illegal) cleaning fees just so I could be done with the whole situation it still took a further email and telephone call to have my money returned.

Absolute joke of an agency. Avoid at all costs. If you do happen to rent with them take photographs of everything because they will use any excuse under the sun to keep your money.

Do not use this agency.

Taylors Lettings of Northampton are the most atrocious, dishonest, incompetent buffoons I have ever had to deal with.

They will come up with every excuse they can to keep your deposit. My partner left her property of two years in a better condition than it was when she moved in, yet they attempted to keep her deposit in a way that breached their own contract. They lied repeatedly to try and achieve this. Like others have stated, they will use "cleaning" as their main excuse. They also tried to charge her for cutting the council owned grass at the front of the property.

One particular male member of staff acts like a bully on the phone. He is rude, unprofessional and just puts the phone down on you. He even made up a fake rate of VAT for a cleaning company that isn't even VAT registered in an attempt to justify keeping a large portion of my partner's deposit. It's worth noting that the person who owns the cleaning company in question used to work for Taylors Lettings, so make of that what you will.

There are many other reviews making these same claims, but please, if you respect your hard earned money then do not give it to these cretins. If you are already renting with them then make sure to document everything before you leave, and seek legal advice if necessary.

This is the most incompetent and…

This is the most incompetent and unethical agent I have ever dealt with - after 3 months I still have not received my deposit back and they sent a million pictures of “dirt” from a room I never rented… no response when I said this was not my room… no sign of my money. If any problems with the house they will not respond either when I was renting. Terrible

Do not let/ sell with this company…

Do not let/ sell with this company absolute joke. They have let a property next to me. They hired a gardener who destroyed the boundary between houses, have been chasing them for weeks to have it fixed only to be told I need to chase the gardener They hired. The ignore every email. Also left there tenants with young children without water in the property for days. Rude staff.

RENTER BEWARE

RENTER BEWARE, over two months and still waiting for our deposit of over £2,000 to be returned, this after going out of our way to insure the house was professionally cleaned before we exited the property and showing numerous new prospective clients around when the agent never turned up. E mails not responded to from the Northampton office, asked for manger’s contact details, no response. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. 20 Hillbeck Grove, Middleton, MK

Where is my deposit? Taylors Oxford

After more than two month of leaving my tenancy with Taylors Oxford, I have no received my deposit. this are almost £900.
The claims for deduction are £0.00, so I cannot open a dispute because we agree on the amount to be given back. Anyway, those £900 have never been given back. The person on charge doesn't reply to my emails.
Avoid this company 100%

* AVOID as much as possible!

* AVOID as much as possible!
Regret having had anything to do with the Downend branch.
So many times they agree with you on something on the phone, but then deny it completely. Terrible service for our check-in, check-out and any communication about ending the tenancy.

** DODGING a lot!
I used zero deposit and they used COUNTRYWIDE to do the check-in and check-out report. The check-in report was concise and had super low-quality pictures and general comments while at the checkout they did a comprehensive bit-by-bit report with loads of dodgy comments on issues with furniture that existed before! Even of the things that were not mentioned in the check-in report. They tried to make a big claim for a deposit based on this!

Absolute nightmare to deal with

Absolute nightmare to deal with. After a year I am withdrawing my house from sale. Took months of chasing to take actions, and then unreachable. Clearly on buyers side, telling us to take lower offers and not take higher ones beacuse of their "systems". Horrible, horrible experience.
