Customer Neglect & Contract should be invalidated

I am very disappointed with the way I was 'tricked' when shown only a part of a contract, hiding small print notes and not disclosing them when a number of specific questions were asked. I believe that a legal document should have been given in advance and allowed to be read fully, rather than only 'waved' in front of my eyes and talked through, choosing and picking which aspects to disclose and which ones to hide.

Also, no estate agent had offered that they would come to complete the viewings. I would have no problem vacating the property to ensure that the viewings were completed in line with the government guidance, should this have been offered back then. I had not questioned this before as I thought I had to complete the viewings myself. I only discovered that I was wrong a couple of weeks later, when I went to view other properties myself and discovered that each viewing was carried by an estate agent, not the home owner. This made me question that the estate agent claims a commission fee, but withdraws from carrying their duties.

Also, all of the people coming to view our property were not advised by the estate agent to be mindful of the government guidance. Some came without face masks, all came without gloves and had touched door handles and other objects when viewing our house. Again, we were not aware that this should look differently, until we went to complete our viewings, carried by estate agents elsewhere, where no viewing would be allowed without a face mask or gloves. Taylors had neglected us, as customers, and did put my family at risk.

We would recommend Taylors in Watford

We would recommend Taylors in Watford – our sale was a complicated one but Ray Carroll and Lauren White went above and beyond to get it over the line for us. Both Ray and Lauren were consistently helpful, understanding and kind, so we were very happy with the service we received.

So I was looking to sell my property…

So I was looking to sell my property and was sold bag of lies from these jokers at Taylor’s estate agents.

•Customer service skills from Luton branch staff were non existent.
•The marketing manager ADAM Bolton who signed us up told us lies regarding the contract just to get us signed in and after said he did say those things just 2 days after! SHOCKING
•Advertising was shambles, spelling mistakes,
•Actual viewing that was scheduled on agent showed up at all and no apology.

So no thank you I will take my business else where. Just guys are jokers and I wud recommend you use another agents.!

I have sadly been really let down by…

I have sadly been really let down by this agency. I was in the process of buying my first home for about 5 months that due to no fault of my own fell through. Even though I have been promised that I will get my holding deposit refunded from the get go (that I also have in writing) , after 7 weeks I still haven't received a penny. I'm just continuously chasing my Own money week after week. I have been continously ignored by every person in the new homes team from the bottom up, even the menager. I have had to get the Financial Ombudsman Services involved trying to get my own money back. I definitely wouldn't recommend this agency to any one as you will never get a refund (even if they promise one) on your holding deposit and you will be ignored by the new homes team throughout the whole property buying process or the refund process. The worst of them all is definitely Bradley from the new homes team who during the whole 5 months of my purchase process and 2 months of chasing my Own money, hasn't replied to a single email he's been sent either by me or any other person involved in the process. At this point I'm not even sure if he's a real person or they just made him up. Beyond abysmal customer service, beware!

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE
I just recently rented a property in Leighton Buzzard, I am impressed how excellent customer service Taylors provided. James was responsible for my case. Thanks for his clear communication, experience (knowledge about the property market) and nice personality I was able to rent a property in just a one day! I would like to say thank you and I am sure I will use TAYLORS services in the future.

Taylors Lettings Stevenage and…

Taylors Lettings Stevenage and Countrywide Management. Not a good experience. Treats Tenants quite badly and held back information about the property to favour the Landlord. They came with a reputation of “not very good to tenants” but I was hopeful. Unfortunately my tenancy was pretty stressful, felt uneasy dealing with them and their “people skills” leave a lot to be desired. By law, Lettings Agents have to solely act to support the Landlord, and these guys follow that despite you paying good money to rent the property. So think to yourself - do I need the hassle and will my deposit be returned?

First class Experience

This is the second time I have worked with Taylor's on house purchases and sales.

On my recent Sale, Adam Pritchard (Company Director) attended the initial consultation, which I found a very simple and enjoyable process. Adam's positive and genuine personality gave me the full confidence that the sale of my house was in great hands.

Two days after signing my contract, Julie Pritchard booked our first appointment, to which the buyer ended purchasing the house. Now that's expeditious services !!!!

Julie was my account manager, and throughout the process, she was the most approachable and proactive person to work with. Even during the challenging times, Julie kept a positive head on and made sure the process remain on track.

I will have no second thoughts in using Taylor's again in the future, and more importantly would give my full recommendation to anyone wishing to sell their house.

Avoid using Taylor’s and Countrywide at…

Avoid using Taylor’s and Countrywide at all costs! We have just managed to rid ourselves of a property managed by Countrywide - they ignored numerous requests to fix urgent leaks in the house resulting in unsightly marks on the ceilings that were never dealt with in four years! We were left without a washing machine for months - had to contact the landlord directly who had his own plumber come and fit a washing machine but didn’t replace the cupboards so kitchen was untidy with a built In washing machine exposed.
We had one annual check up in four years and all the issues we raised were never ever fixed - reported the dishwasher as faulty - six months later - no dishwasher but an increase in rent - that was our final straw - we gave notice and moved out - we then received a phone call asking us to stay and they would not increase the rent and replace the dishwasher - well after 4 years of mismanagement- we had had enough! - still waiting for our deposit even though we agreed costs etc! So many issues to report - I’d be writing forever - the stress of being managed by Taylor’s and Countrywide is just not worth it!!

Please don’t trust these people - they are the worst estate agents ever!!! Milton Keynes!

Good, clear advice on selling and setting a market price

Haven't bought or sold a property in 25+ years. Manager Rickie from Stevenage branch came out to value my house and gave me a good briefing on the way to handle the sale, costs involved etc if I choose to go ahead. I felt under no pressure.

A good, clear written valuation arrived in the post a couple of days later along with details of a suggested property that they had on offer, that my my requirements to follow on from conversations I'd had earlier.

Very satisfactory service and I'd feel happy to go with Taylor's when I decide to proceed.

Don’t recommend at all

I do not recommend Taylors Lettings.
I had nothing but issues and problems with them and the staff. Most definitely a passing of the buck company. Sent me to different people for certain things such as the Landlord and he sent me straight back to them. It was annoying and tedious.
Almost felt like they didn’t know what they were doing. I’m not trying to insult anyone here but I had no faith in the service and often felt they were clueless and were rude to me on occasions. They were not pleasant.
The stress I went through to try and get monies owed back to me. It was a complete nightmare. I hope no one else has to chase money from this company. It’s a complete farce.
I had to seek legal advice and send a final demand letter to them like I was some sort of debt collector. It was unnecessary. I finally got it back but not the whole amount originally promised but at this point I accepted it because I wanted nothing more to do with them.

Misrepresented offers as cash, didn't listen or pay attention expect us to dance like monkeys to make it easier for them

I started selling my grandparents property with Taylors roath, they organised viewings and the problems started.
We asked them to call when they were done showing people round so we could come home, they didn't call, half hour after viewings were meant to end, freezing we headed home to see what was up.

All lights on, gates opened no sign of agent. We get in, settle, warm up and nearly hour half later I call them to find out whats going on.
They say they will let us know in the morning the offers.
I check cctv he left half hour early leaving, didn't call so we were out in the cold for a hour longer than needed was pissed.

I end up calling them later next day as they never called get told of a 145k offer, a 125k the three 100k offers.... but the 125k one is cash, faster sale no mortgage to worry about so we take 20k loss and go for it as we want to move.

Sales progressing and weeks in we get told its not actually a cash offer.... its a Ltd company mortgage still sound they assure us, we have done alot of the paper work, times pressing on we have put a offer on a house which was accepted as we would be cash buyers, that's what we had been told.... so we inform the estate agent we are buying from and they say its fine and we continue bit niffed that we missed out on 20k.

During this time they also suprised us with asking for £400 upfront for the house we are buying for "searches" we were NEVER informed before hand of this so thanks for that cause I just have money lying round no wait I did tell them we didn't.

Then over a month and half into paperwork for sale of old home and the purchase of our new home nearly complete, our buyer drops out as they don't like thier interest rate. thought this offer was cash then it was supposed a rock solid mortgage.... livid but keep it together.

We then have Karl arranging more viewings, he offers Tuesday Wednesday, I say Tuesday partner works from home thats thier day off. He then calls asking for Saturday, said partners working we would have to stay in the house... nooo problem they would just poke thier heads in the room, they start booking in viewers going over the two hours... OK.

Then we get a email saying we have to be out of the house for the viewings.. its minus two, we have no where to go and my partner is working from home they know all this.
At this point I have lost it, they have made it difficult since day one, misrepresented offers, bought suprised charges and expected us to lose wages to fix thier mess ups. I am fuming. I wish I had never gone with Taylors Roath.

We have been landlords for more than 18 years now.

We used numerous Estate agencies in the past.

In our many years of experience, Taylors Estate Agent are the best agency who have managed our properties.

All the staff we deal with are very helpful.

Miss Maria Kemp in particular is a first class manager.

Her communication skills, professionalism and attention to detail are second to none.

She also acts very swiftly in addressing any issues.

Very highly recommended

Thank you very much Maria for all your input.

Taylor’s/Countrywide - Awful “Property Management”

Totally undeserved one star rating, this site needs a zero star option.

We rented a house for one year via Taylor’s (South Glos). They use Countrywide Property Management Services for a “fully managed let”. As a tenant, and I believe landlord, I recommend avoiding using them. We wish we had researched them before we committed to the contract.

The service from the Bristol office is appalling. Issues we raised went unsolved for months, some the entire year. We were told nearly every time we called that person A was no longer our property manager, and person B (the new property manager), would get back to us.. They never did and I’m pretty sure we ended up with person L by the time the year was up.

Problems ranged from damp, huge leaks, to more dangerous stuff such as a fire on the electricity consumer unit. Several workmen turned up, but told us they were instructed to bodge only, which led to the repeat problems on certain things.

Such a headache, and after corresponding directly with the Landlord at one point, believe the same to be true from his end also.

Appalling service - avoid

Would give 0 stars if I could to Taylors lettings in Northampton. Contacted Taylors about a letting when the house was first advertised. Was first told they needed more information and would call me back. They never did. I then rang back having heard nothing and was told the same thing again. Still no call back. I rang a third time and was told they would send a video tour the following day, they never did. Subsequent attempts to get through were ignored as they don't answer their phone half the time. My husband then rang and eventually got through, and was told the landlord had changed his mind and would do physical viewings so they would call us back. After a few attempts of them ignoring the call they eventually rang back and booked us in at 12pm on Wednesday 9th Dec. We arrived just before and no one was there. My husband rang and was initially cut off. Several other phone calls were then ignored. After several attempts he got through and was told there was "no record" of our appointment and the landlord had changed his mind and found a private tenant. They had tried to book us in the day before so suspect they had let the house out and not had the decency to let us know. Yhe house was still showing as available on Rightmove at this point. I suspect we have dodged a bullet, the service so far has been appalling. I'm just glad we didn't part with any money or sign anything. Will definitely avoid in future.

Yet another great service!

Yet another great service from the lettings team. Vienna & Lesley have been persistent and professional throughout. The covid impact has left me rather downbeat but the ladies have been optimistic ad continued forward, and their tenacity paid off. As I have come to expect (im spoilt now) they go above my expectations, which is very reassuring and comforting. Vienna is a great asset to the team and is always on hand - Lesley has built up a great team! I highly recommend!!!

Very disappointed

Taylors Estate Agency Aylesbury
Very disappointed , Lesley Chalmers let us believe that we have made the payment for the holding deposit, just to found out 3 days later that she never took the payment, left the property open on the market and let it to someone else before our referencing came back.

Awful estate agents

Awful estate agents - selling a property that wasn't even available to buy led us up the garden path after we had forked out £200 for mortgage valuation and then £600 for survey. To then be told seller hasn't even given notice to tenants worst customer service no apologies avoid at all costs!

Court says Taylors 0, seller 1

Taylors Estate Agents, Bedford, took us to court as they claimed the sales commission should be theirs when a buyer bought our house through another estate agent without ever seeing the property through Taylors! The court came to the decision that there was no case!

What happened was that the husband booked through Taylors and the Wife booked through Waldens and one the day before viewing, the buyers realised the double booking and canceled the booking with Taylors!
