Incompetent and useless

If i could i would have give minus stars.
Taylors Northampton- totally incompetent, unprofessional and lacks integrity. They never answer phone calls. Wanted to purchase a property so i arranged viewing for the following weekend but never sent a confirmation of my appointment. When i called for the third time to confirm my appointment they couldnt find my details and the property was sold. They are bunch of crooks, no wonder why their offices are closing and there are thousands of negative reviews.

Completely Incompetent

Taylors Lettings are absolutely useless, and they are undeserving of 1 star.

The customer service is appalling - no one responds to emails, phone calls, or simple requests. We need to constantly chase them to undertake the most basic tasks, and they are knowingly negligent of basic safety standards.

Without warning they removed their "emergency" contact number, rendering us helpless on a number of occasions.

I am a frequent review reader and rare poster, but the level of negligence was incomprehensible and had to be written.

One Star is an over achievement for…

One Star is an over achievement for Taylors Lettings of Swindon. Having gone through the tenants application process and with an occupation completion date within 48 hrs, not only did they discover the premises offered for rental was not compliant with certificates, they requested a twofold increase on the deposit. Completely incompetent and unreliable service and reflective of all that is wrong with letting in the UK. Representing unreliable and greedy landlords - avoid at all costs. And possibly a lesson if you are selling or buying. Go to Allen & Harris or Dewhurst!!!

Taylors, Downend

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but after months of trying to find a landlord that accepts pets, calling agencies after agencies, we finally came across this property with Taylors. Everything described beautifully and finally at the end nothing mentioned about "no pets allowed". Full of hope, we call to make sure about the pet part. We have good references, happy to pay more for rent, happy to give an extra deposit. The answer was a rude' NO' to all our questions. Rude, unhelpful and very abrupt answers and attitude. Absolutely disappointed and disgusting. I don't know how these people still have a job.

5 Star's doesn't do David, Katie and Taylors Swindon justice!

5 stars doesn't do David, Katie and the team at Taylors in Swindon justice, David was an absolute legend when it came to letting my house out, no only did he take excellent photographs, full listing details, my property went on their website on a Friday and Monday morning I had a call to say a Let had been agreed, rent payments have been on time every month, any questions I've had have been answer quickly.

When we came to list my wife's house ready for our move we went straight to David, I didn't think it was possible to beat last time but they had a let agreed the same day we instructed them.

David should be well on the way to winning Letting Agent of the year (if such a thing exists!)

If your considering letting out your home - use Taylor's it's as simple as that!

Gloucester branch - useless for letting. Avoid.

I’ve signed up for full letting management of my property, while working away, through Countrywide (actually Taylor’s in Gloucester, who come under Countrywide). Useless.
They have to be prompted to do even the most basic things such as arranging for safety certificates, property checks etc.
The full management service is supposed to come with a web portal for landlords. Never updated.
Nobody answers the phone at the branch. Nobody replies to emails.
When trying to contact the tenancy renewals team, the automated system sends you on a seemingly endless loop (“Press 1 for renewals” end up being passed straight back to menu options)
Never update their internal system, so if you do get hold of someone they never know what’s happening. Paperwork has been lost. Instructions never followed.
I have no idea what they do.
Absolutely useless.

Appalling : Avoid at all costs if your are a landlord

Appalling. Staff, Service, Culture, Management. On every measure this company are bad. We were landlords and they were being paid to do the full service. They were negligent, unresponsive and their management standards very very poor. They basically did not care. They are part of Countrywide and so avoid them as well. Never Never use the Worcester branch.

!!!!! Never give Taylors any lettings !!!!

!!!!! Never give Taylors any lettings !!!!

I am a landlord.
The letting was given to Taylors (the first mistake to start with). An agent visited my property and promised me number of things before I gave them a fully managed contract. I found the tenants for them not Taylors. When i called them to find out what is fully managed contract ? so Taylors explained, collecting the rent from the tenant and pass it back to landlord after deducting all their fees. Nothing else is included. I don't live near the property so want a property visit atleast may be every 3 months to make sure my property is in good condition. This was promised when the agent visited the property. I should have got everything in written (second mistake). Saying that there was not a single visit to property from Taylors to make sure the property is fine and no damage done by tenants.

More scenarios: Taylors think they can deduct whatever money they think and just send an invoice. it happened twice. I called the office and asked what this new charge is ? and they don't know it so asked to contact the countrywide office. Ok, so called the countrywide office and they said we made a mistake and refunded the money. I would have lost more than £100 if didn't check the invoices.

More than a year and i decided I don't want Taylors to manage my property anymore (as they were doing nothing apart from taking out there share). So contacted Taylors and the lady on the phone asked me to send an e-mail with a written notice to stop the service and explained its a 3 month notice period. I asked them the e-mail address and sent the notice and now waiting for the reply back. over 2 week and was surprised no reply so checked my e-mail account and ofcorse they gave me a wrong e-mail address even though i asked for a letter to letter e-mail id at the time of giving notice. I sent my notice e-mail again and since the rent date was already passed, the notice period counts from the next rent period (no way!!).

Finally the time came to end the contract and i need the tenant details to hand over to the next management company and the tenant deposit details so that it can be protected under deposit scheme. Called the Taylors local office and they said contact countrywide ok so I called countrywide and they said contact Taylors. Don't know who to contact now. After some heated conversation countrywide took responsibility. sent them the government deposit scheme details and the game starts again. Every time i call them to find out the status on when do i expect the deposit in the deposit scheme ? They say we just picked up the e-mail and will forward it to the deposit scheme department and that happens everytime i call. Finally i managed to get to the right person and they said we received the details today and the deposit will transfer today.

Not at all a customer friendly service. Taylors only looking to get money out of your pocket and delay things as much as possible. Never let with Taylors.

On a side note: Taylors famous tag line when you are trying to reach someone, the person you are trying to reach is on the phone and will give you a call back. Believe me they will never call you back
