A Minefield of Frauds... and Union Busters

used to spend 100-500 dollars a month at this website. there are serious issues with fraud among their sellers and they allow fraudulent dealers to continue on their site for months. One seller who chronically mails packages to the wrong address and ignores customer inquiry, refusing to give refunds until months later is still on their site today with multiple complaints about this issue. That seller will try to scam buyers out of getting a refund and seeing him do this live and to multipl customers gets zero disciplinary action from TCG. the process always takes buyers months and TCG just politely asks him to respond to customer inquiries.

It's also come to my attention how they make the lives of their employees miserable. The authentication service that made their value for ebay voted to unionize due to wages, hours, amd conditions there, and rather than bargaining the company closed the plant. Even hired a pinkerton-style security force to surveil the remaining workers as the plant closed.

Outdated and Frustrating Seller Experience on TCGplayer

I was excited to list a large collection of Pokémon products—both sealed items and single cards—but was quickly disappointed by how outdated the TCGplayer website feels. The seller interface is incredibly difficult to navigate, and setting up a seller account was far from intuitive. There's no clear way to view your listed inventory, and the entire experience felt like using a website from decades ago. It’s clunky, confusing, and lacks the simplicity modern platforms offer. I ended up abandoning the process entirely and won’t be selling here. Very frustrating.

I placed an order and my address…

I placed an order and my address defaulted to an old address. I reached out immediately and updated my address with customer service. They told me sit tight and it would be handled. Two days later they said they couldn’t change the address but they would sort it out when the delivery happened. Fast forward to the delivery going to the wrong address and they told me that they weren’t going to do anything and effectively just stole my money. Criminal behavior, go to a competitor instead.

Tried to create a seller account on…

Tried to create a seller account on TCGplayer and it took two weeks for them to approve a seller name, very vague instructions on what they allow or don't allow. Once you upload your items you are only allowed to use. Now, because of extremely weak and sloppy website edits and programming it allowed me to add to exceed my selling limitations and will not allow me to perform any updates to include deleting items to get me into compliance.

TCGplayer doesn’t care

I ordered a Paradox rift booster box and a seller shipped me a booster box of a different brand. I had to repackage and ship the box back myself at my own expense BEFORE the seller would ship out the correct order. Once he got the box back he canceled my order and said he no longer had the one I ordered. TCGplayer took no action and said that it was on their marketplace but there is nothing they can do about it. And that was that. BUYER BEWARE I would avoid ordering from TCGplayer because they will not stand by anything that happens to you as a buyer. You’d be better buying off eBay.

My order was canceled for NO reason

I recently made an account To make a big purchase Of some cards that were on Preorder. Today a few days before they’re due to ship my order was cancelled for No reason.When I asked why it was cancelled they said It was because I didn’t receive a reply from the seller to my inquiry about changing the shipping address. Doesn’t that sound Outrageous??? I know I’m in Awe myself. This place can Go Fk themselves with their scammy business practices.

Unethical and underhanded practices to keep your money

I paid for my order using a credit card to load my account with their gift cards, but TCGPlayer canceled it and is refusing to refund my money or provide the service. I exchanged messages with Amber from customer service, yet received inconsistent explanations that mixed international shipping issues with international customer policies in an unclear, shady manner. TCGPlayer needs to ensure transparency in its policies and improve prompt, effective support to regain customer trust.

Stay away, I should have paid more attention to the trustpilot reviews before trusting my money there.

Not buying what you think you are

I am new to the site and bought a Lorcana Trove box that said it was unopened a few days ago. Today I go to view the order status for tracking info and the order says trove box with no contents. How is this unopened? Now I wasted money because you can’t return or contact customer service. I will never buy anything on this site again.

Scam Company - Christmas Order never arrived - Still waiting on a refund !

Ordered some cards for a Christmas treat to myself, I have not received nearly $100 worth of cards that i ordered and its now nearly the end of January.

I contacted customer service who said they could either resend or issue a refund, they could not resend and stated they did not have the items in stock despite seeing plenty available on the site , and i have repeatedly since requested a refund to my paypal. Still nothing!

Avoid this scam company and go somewhere else!

Bought off here, first and last time too. XY break through, y'all really going to reseal that? Y'all at tcg scammers and broke. Get your stuff off mercari or ebay. I weighed it right away when I got it I could tell it was missing cards, it weighed 18.4 😂 pathetic site and people and they glued it like the morons they are. Update, I ended up opening it cuz I got a refund, the cards were fake. Did the rip test no ink. No wonder it weighed less and actually was 10 cards 😂 cards looked horrible. Color and font was off

Gift purchase fail…

When attempting to purchase a Christmas gift, TCGplayer responded by billing my credit card, then sending me an email that my transaction had been cancelled due to an "issue with my account". I do not have an account, as I was attempting to purchase a gift. Their customer service is limited to a ChatBot that is unable to respond to any issues without an account reference.

Their customer service is a joke (its a bot that does little to nothing). Their login/auth flow it completely broken to the point where none of their account creation links work. They don't even send you a confirmation email when making a new account AND their password reset doesn't work. Basically their website is broken beyond belief for a company of this size.
