Customer support is a joke at TCGplayer they locked my account and did not even let me retrieve my funds they gave me no reason and will not contact me be careful how much money you put into them.
Be aware when you sell on Tcg
Every seller please to be aware when sell on TCGplayer. Be sure to read their policy because it literally said they can take your money and close your account if they don’t like you. And it also states all risks are on you, even the buyer scams you, you waive the right to dispute. And yes they take the selling fees and leave all risks solely to sellers. As a 20 years online reseller I never experienced a platform acting like that. I got scammed twice and they punished me very hard instead of listening to both sides. They refused to listen to any of my words but closed my account, only for a small order. It’s super upset and disappointing.
Great for singles and tokens.
I've ordered a few times and the experience has been great. I typically grab foil singles of things i want to upgrade in my deck. Plus if you need 20 rat tokens this is the place to go.

Most of my purchases from Sellers on TCG Player have been fine and a positive experience. That said, you are 100% rolling the dice on this website and their "TCG PlayerSafeguard" is an absolute joke bordering on false advertising.
For context, I purchased a $3,000 sealed case of booster boxes from a seller. Immediately after the transaction, the seller posted the tracking number for an e-shipping label. A few days later, I messaged the seller to inquire when they would ship the case, and the seller claimed to already have dropped the package off at USPS. I called every USPS store in the vicinity (Clifton, NJ) associated with the tracking info. They all confirmed they had never received a package associated with that tracking number or directed to my address. I shared this information with TCG Player customer support and they proceeded to respond with canned messages and templated responses telling me to wait a full 15 business days before initiating a dispute. Then, after waiting 15 business days, I contacted them again only for them to tell me to message the seller to work it out and wait another two business days. They literally do everything they can to frustrate and stonewall you while sellers they rate as "Gold Star" sellers scam people on their marketplace. To date, I still have not received a refund for the transaction from TCG Player and the seller is still active on their site.
I subsequently disputed the transaction (under TILA) with my credit card company and received a credit for the full amount. As a result, TCG Player restricted my account from making purchases in the marketplace. Imagine retaliating against a customer for exercising their consumer fraud protection rights under applicable law and then replying to their support message with, "....we are here to ensure you have the best service experience possible."
The only reasonable conclusion to draw is that the people running their support function, managing their fraud detection/trust and safety program, and working in their legal department are inept.

Slow shipping IF the cards get sent at all
In the past few months I've had multiple orders not be shipped at all by the sellers, 1 out 3 packages arrives postage due, sellers are glacially slow to mail cards out and I've had to miss multiple events because of missing cards. The worst offender was Pro Play Games, it's been a month and I still haven't gotten cards from them. To top all of that off, TCGPlayer will simply delete any negative feedback that you leave for a seller. As far as I can tell TCGPlayer is just a den of scumbags.
They better tracking data
Would have been nice to track my order. Every time I went to there website it said it was being delivered by unknown carrier and tracking info has not been updated. Then I logged on June 7 and it said it was delivered on the 6th checked my old mail to see if I overlooked but I know I didn't. I messed then today (June 7th) telling them I don't have my package and asking who the carrier was.
I tried on UPS and USPS website using the tracking number. It says does not exist.
My coworker said using TCGPlayer was a hit and miss. We'll I guess I miss
No longer refund damaged cards
They no longer are refund orders for damage cards even when a picture is provided
I bought from the site for over 2 years over 10k in cards and noticed recently that TCG player will no longer step in to resolve issues with bad sellers like Dabbers who sell damaged cards
Went back in fort with the bots of customer service been over 2 months now and still nothing even after reaching out nothing has been done and I would no longer recommend the site.

Good prices for low end cards
Good prices for bulk cards which makes this an excellent source for new players and collectors of low end stuff.
The shipping was slow so I docked them one star, but overall this was excellent for buying cool looking cards to motivate my son to work hard at school.
Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage. There are plenty of other places to get cards from. The "verified" sellers don't have to do anything special to get that status. I purchased cards almost 2 months ago and still haven't gotten them. There isn't a live person to speak to at this "store" and all you get is a bot. The team it said it was going to push the issue to has not responded in over 2 weeks. I spent $60 on a few cards and have now lost the money. Don't buy from anyone on TCGplayer!!

I've had atleast 100 negative experiences and 50 positive ones. Thousands wasted. Recently did not receive a card "with tracking" in the mail. Carrier claims it was there but I check my box thoroughly and sort through every piece, every day, the second I get home. It was not there. I messaged, they eventually responded claiming they would let me refund or replace the card.. I just wanted to replace the card because I really need it for a deck I have. I asked for the replacement and the name of the carrier because we are having problems with them where I live.. thieves. They straight up ghosted me and won't reply to anything Ive sent.. luckily, I've documented every. Single piece of missing mail, fraudulent cards, orders, never sent.. this was the cherry on the cake. Do not trust this company. They offer you this big fancy "direct" with insured shipping.. they do not honor it. Disappointing and gross. Done with tcg for 👍

I have placed over $1k in orders in the past 2 months. Over 100 cards for sure. Only about half of them ever made. Going through all the refunds has been a nightmare. All gifts I ordered are gone, I don't get my refund until the week of Christmas and they don't get what they asked for. They plaster their site name across the mail and I am CONVINCED usps is just taking whatever they please. The consistency of issues I have experienced have been worse than wells Fargo & Microsoft combined. I am at the point that, yes.. it is tcgplayers fault. Mostly usps but if you don't have ANYTHING nor are you going to take any measure of discretion when mailing valuable, easy to steal, notoriously stolen items.. than I am no longer using you. Refunds don't do anything when the card goes up $50 by the time you get your money back and all you get is an empty sorry. As soon as I get my money back, I blocking the website on my browser and using one of the more reputable sot3s my friends have been trying to convince me to use for years. Wish there was a way to get the time they wasted back. My date of experience says the 15th of Dec 23 but don't get it twisted, this issue has been ongoing for the entire two months prior and many times before in the past. I used to swear by them but now I absolutely do not recommend tcgplayer. Be warned..
