Genuine and dedicated
Both my son and I were diagnosed with Vicki. Along with empathy and compassion, the company strictly adhere to NICE guidelines and use all the recommended tools. The assessments are not rushed and they make sure that the diagnosis is the correct one. Unlike other companies that I’ve come across, who will give a quick diagnosis and dish out medication like smarties, to line their pockets.
Highly recommend the ADHD Nurse, who are highly skilled and genuine.
The ADHD Nurse
As I write this review, I have today been diagnosed with ADHD. I have mixed emotions about how I should feel now knowing I wasn’t going “crazy” and all the time never being able to “fit in”
Going through NHS diagnosis was never something I wanted for myself because of the wait. No way was I waiting 8+ years to find out in my late 30s I had something I’d known all along.
Researching for private clinics was my only way of hope to find that light at the end of the tunnel which is when I came across The ADHD Nurse.
From my first appointment with Sara to now, I’ve been able to get out whatever it is that has made me overthink things about myself and to be made to feel I was never alone. I’ve been listened to and had someone at the end of the line cheering me on! My journey with The ADHD Nurse isn’t over yet but, I could not appreciate them enough!
Sara has been so calm and gentle towards me and her presence makes you feel at ease about what exactly you’re experiencing and that it is the right decision for me.
CBT , ADHD Style…
My third session with Rachael, this week and I’m continuing to be impressed. The whole experience is consistently genuine and relaxed. Thank you, Rachael.
Excellent service
My practitioner listened to what I had to say, asked pertinent questions and recommended a treatment plan that suited my needs. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
Neurodiverse assessment
Vicki and her team provided a smooth, kind and caring experience that has helped me to navigate some difficult and uncomfortable topics whilst learning to understand my Brain type. Whole heartedly recommended for genuine person to person assessment and advise
Caring and Collaborative approach…
Finding an ADHD service that offers genuine care can be difficult. I know because I run one but I chose Vicki for my child’s care and have been impressed by her caring and collaborative approach to helping my daughter through the diagnostic journey and subsequent treatment. Vicki’s understanding that there is more than finding a dose of medication to establishing effective treatment has really helped my daughter establish a healthier relationship with her ADHD and the medication she takes for it.
Amazing, thank you!
Had my initial diagnosis appointment a year ago. Sara, who completed my assessment, was thorough and supportive. She made me feel validated and understood, despite the diagnostic assessment being emotionally tough. I took some time to accept the diagnosis before continuing with treatment, and have just had my first follow up appointment to begin medication. The process has been clear and every member of staff I have spoken to has been friendly and understanding. Despite private care being an expensive option, the ADHD Nurse staff fully understand that many of the patients they see would not usually seek private medical care, and are supportive and proactive in helping you move to shared care under the NHS once you are settled on medication, so I completely trust that they have my best interests in mind at the core of the treatment. I don’t live in Gloucester, so, after the initial diagnostic assessment, I have been able to have virtual appointments.
Just wanted to say thank you…
Just wanted to say thank you to Vicki for your work and what you are doing for people with adhd. The way you attentively and empathically conducted my assessment, I have appreciated it a lot. I felt listened to and validated for the first time in my life and want to thank you for your kind and thorough approach in my assessment, so much about my life makes absolute sense now.
It’s not been long since my diagnosis so right now it’s still tough as the diagnosis has brought so many emotions on for me, but I know soon I will start to feel empowered by my diagnosis, as knowing will help me begin to take control of my life and this condition. I will finally begin to understand myself better than I ever have. I don’t know if you will ever know how much I appreciate what you have done for me in the short time I have gotten to know you. Keep up the wonderful work.
Thanks again Vicki and to everyone at ADHD nurse, you have all been so welcoming and supportive.
Very helpful and understanding.
Guided me through a tough process in the best way
The idea of what is required for getting assessed for ADHD is very intimidating. Vicki really made it as easy as it could possibly have been. So very welcoming and friendly, explained everything very clearly, answered any and all questions, and gives really good advice. The ongoing care has been top notch, both from Vicki and Sara.
Changed my life!
Since meeting Vicki and being diagnosed a couple years ago my life has completely changed for the better. Her wealth of knowledge on ADHD is a credit to her. I felt supported throughout the whole diagnostic process and she made it really easy to adapt to.
She also set me up to have therapy sessions with Rachael. After seeing multiple therapists over the years I was skeptical at first, but Rachael is absolutely amazing - she has taught me skills that I will carry with me forever now, and she is a fantastic listener too. I have achieved things that I would have never have thought to be possible prior to my assessment thanks to Rachael and Vicki, and they are now even continuing to support me while I’m living in Australia for a year.
Compassionate and Professional
I couldnt be more pleased with my experience with the ADHD Nurse. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and at ease. Vicki took the time to listen and asked thoughtful questions to understand my situation fully. Their expertise and compassionate approach made me feel confident in the treatment plan we developed together. Vicki explained everything clearly and provided practical strategies that have already made a positive difference in my daily life. I highly recommend The ADHD Nurse to anyone seeking help with ADHD.
Always Professional
I saw Vicki not long after she saw my mum. She was very professional, maintaining confidentiality and only ever discussing things she knew we were both comfortable with (my mother and I never had sessions together, to clarify).
I have always gotten a response to my emails, and any delay was clearly explained.
Professional, Excellent Care
Vicki saw my son earlier this year for an ADHD assessment following issues at school and in personal relationships. An NHS referral was made but we weren’t prepared to wait 3-4 years for a possible diagnosis.
I was initially impressed with the website which gave all the relevant information required. I also appreciated it was explicit about costs.
The communication from Vicki and her team was excellent and they worked hard to accommodate difficult timelines with school exams.
The whole process was made stress free and my son was allowed plenty of time during the assessment to discuss issues, he never felt rushed or pressured.
We have very much appreciated the ongoing support and communication.
I have since recommended the ADHD Nurse to others.
Fantastic service
Fantastic service, very understanding and professional. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for vicky and her team.
I contacted Vicki for an assessment…
I contacted Vicki for an assessment after a recommendation from a friend and was seen within two weeks of initial contact, which compared to the NHS waiting list is minimal.
Vicki was very friendly and empathetic in that she listened to and fully understood my difficulties and frustrations where others either thought I was odd or just trying to be awkward.
I was prescribed medication which has been life changing and Vicki has always been on hand to provide me with support when required.
I highly recommend Vicki at The ADHD Nurse due to my positive experiences of her. I recommended Vicki to Three family members and Two friends and in both cases are still current patients of hers due to the excellent service she provides.

A caring but efficient practice
I had need of Vicki's services after an adult diagnosis in 2024. Early on the back-office team helped me understand their lead-time for appointments (I was keen to get going!), fees and the process.
All the way through my interactions with Vicki (& team) - I felt that they genuinely cared about my wellbeing, and that personally helped me get the most out of the titration period.
My consultation sessions with Vicki were structured but also enabled me to feel it was more of a two-way consultation and conversation.
Even during the international medical shortages the team were in touch and offering guidance.
I have no hesitation in recommending the practice for anyone looking for a caring & effective practice.

Excellent, professional service
From the very first contact with the ADHD nurse I felt I was in good hands. The professionalism, help & understanding my family have received from Vicky & Saffron has & continues to be outstanding.
At all times we have been put at our ease throughout the assessment & diagnosis appointments where Vicky made sure we understood the results & medication process. Saffron has been outstanding & unflappable at every turn, there at the end of the phone to support with queries & difficulties at any given time. I would & have recommend Vicky & her team to anyone who makes the difficult journey of assessment for ADHD.
