Welcoming, understanding, supportive and professional
Friendly, Welcoming,Understanding. Initial nerves of not knowing what to expect were soon dispelled in a calm and supportive environment by both Vicky and her wonderful team. So pleased that I chose this clinic - as are family members who followed me!
All this, and still very professional at delivering an excellent service.

Life begins again at 54
Like so many, I came to Vicki after she diagnosed my daughter last year. I secured enough overtime to pay for it, and after much negative self-talk, gaslighting and procrastinating, I booked it.....no going back now!
I did my QB check, got my blood pressure etc and, because my memory and train of thought is awful, I created a timeline of my life, my many jobs, life phases, silly and exciting decisions .... the “intuition” (dopamine) led chaos I have called life for 54 years. Highly intelligent but going nowhere.
Having been at my daughter’s assessment, I knew it would be long, supportive and thorough. Three hours of picking it all apart.
Well of course I have ADHD, I once left a really good job repairing computers for a multinational to work as a cook/crew on a dive boat in Scotland (no I can’t cook). I have half a century of tales like that! All very funny but if I try to work more than 21hrs a week, I become unwell. Mentally exhausted, feeling bitter and burned out with added bodily pain. We suspect there is some ASD too, this isn't a shock actually.
And so to talk of medication & support. I have histamine intolerance, a sensitivity to all drugs and an overactive immune system which meant that the first go at meds didn’t work. I was so depressed. But we discussed many options and moved to a very low dose of short acting medication. This gave me lots of flexibility so I could read the signs my body was giving me. It has been the game changer. I have also applied for Access to Work with a view to getting coaching with TheADDvantage but in reality, I may be able to afford it myself soon (see below).
I am now thriving in life. I have increased my hours at work with no negative effects. I have been amazed how many emotions were linked to ADHD. The dopamine chasing of “just one more job before I go” has gone, I just pack up and leave work. No more skipping lunch because I'm in a flow and ending up in the cafe for a massive cake and coffee by 2pm. I’ve been put forward for promotion and I’m doing a presentation on accommodations in the workplace. An anxiety I didn’t even know I held has lifted, I have less bloating, my clothes feel more comfortable, I no longer worry about what I didn’t get done.
Having supported my 18 year old daughter through the process, my relationship with her is solid but the diagnosis has really helped my marriage. It has enabled me to explain to my husband why I struggle with spending, why we are in debt, why I buy things we don’t need, why I really don’t want to go to his boring work thing, do small talk with boring people and why I need 2hr in a dark room after. And it has also helped him because I believe he has it too .... purely hyperactive, self-medicating with coffee, wine & the gym. And, Oh My .... it explains so much about our families!
I owe my life to Vicki and the team, my daughter’s too. It really is that simple!

Life changing support from a professional, friendly and supportive team
From my first contact through to assessment, diagnosis and ongoing support, Vicki and her team have been brilliant.
I'd put off getting my diagnosis for many years, so finally going through with it was a big deal for me. Vicki has a friendly, calming approach and immediately made me feel at ease. She talked me through the process, so I knew what to expect, answered all of my questions and gave reassurance throughout.
Following diagnosis, the follow-up appointments have been really helpful too and genuinely helped me approach things in a new way. The whole process has improved my confidence, belief in myself and given me a much more positive outlook for my future.
Vicki has built an amazing business. She has clearly invested in the systems and processes they use, which has created a slick, professional experience that supports the personal, empathetic and unhurried services provided.
I can't recommend Vicki and the rest of The ADHD Nurse team highly enough. Thank you!

Highly recommend!!
Provided a comprehensive ADHD assessment with transparent fees. Can't recommend enough.
Sara was warm, welcoming and professional during the assessment and had been highly responsive and supportive in subsequent remote appointments.
Rachel, the CBT practitioner has also been excellent. She has been flexible with appointments and understanding when the odd missed appointment happens. The treatment itself has been fantastic, Rachel is professional, relaxed and friendly, and I have found her to be the perfect person to talk to.
The ADHD Nurse have managed the recent medication shortages well and communicated the problems as they arise, as well as offering practical solutions. I recommend anyone struggling to get through the NHS system to give them a go!
Amazing service and lovely to deal with!
Vicki & Saffron have been great, from the start of my journey to my most recent review (today) I cannot fault the service. They are always on hand, provided updates and comfort during the medication shortages and have been a joy to work with.
Thank you!
Very good in-depth consultation
Very good in-depth consultation, clearly explaining pros and cons of different choices of medicines.
An expert team of specialists - so thorough
My ADHD assessment was with Victoria George, the Clinical Nurse Specialist, and immediately she made me feel comfortable and able to speak. The assessment was very thorough and although it took 3 hours it seemed to go very quickly because I felt so at ease. I received a diagnosis at the end of my assessment which was a relief. I didn’t know if that would happen or not. Victoria had such an understanding of me right at the start of the assessment, from reading all the information that had been supplied beforehand. I felt very understood and listened to, and I had the opportunity to say everything I wanted to say. The diagnostic report followed quickly and was extremely thorough and accurate. I would 100% recommend the ADHD Nurse to anyone wanting a private diagnosis, and I have done already. Thank you for everything you do - what an amazing team of experts.
Personalised and expert care
Personalised and expert care, compassionate, and neurodivergent affirming. I am really grateful I got my diagnosis at ADHD Nurse - I felt seen, listened to and validated which is especially helpful after 49 years of being undiagnosed and struggling. The team has coped admirably with the ADHD meds shortage - always doing whatever they can to help their patients get hold of their medication.
Supportive, caring and thorough…
From my first enquiry email through to my diagnosis and medical titration, I’ve had such a warm and positive experience with the team at ADHD nurse. I’ve felt so supported and understood every step of the way. Sara Painter has been so caring, helpful and thorough every time we have spoken throughout the process which is exactly what I was looking for and needed as a very sensitive and anxious person. I was very cautious in choosing who to go to for a private assessment and treatment and I am just so glad I found ADHD nurse. I honestly think it is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself.
Life changing
I had my first appointment Nov 2023 and from the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome. Although it was a big anxiety trigger with new people and a new place I can honestly say I was so supported through my assessment. I am currently going through the medication process to find the right dose and again my follow up appointments are great. Sara is so supportive and willing to listen. I never feel rushed or pressured. Contacting The ADHD Nurse has been a really positive experience and is definitely helping me to overcome a lot of challenging situations I face in my day to day life. I totally recommend them to anyone.
Can’t recommend enough
The whole team is so understanding, and are very knowledgeable. The assessment was very thorough, and took 3 hours to complete. Leaving me comfortable I was in great hands.
I saw Sara, who reassured me thoughout the process that my struggles and needs were valid. She has been very helpful after my assessment also, with follow up appointments which she’s managed to arrange around my busy schedule and online. Cannot recommend the ADHD Nurses services enough.
