Anna was really helpful advising on holidays and my options. My original planned trip was cancelled due to events in the Middle East. Anna reached out promptly and helped me decide on an alternative. She kept me informed of the operator’s policy and quickly got me booked on a new trip as soon as this was possible.

My actual trip was fabulous, great group, great guide and a lovely way to explore a country. I felt safe and in good company at all times.

Completed the EBC with overnight stay and it was fantastic, the group size was just perfect and the tour organisers, Icicles, made the whole experience really easy and relaxed from the outset in Kathmandu. Our tour guide Raj was really good and very knowledgeable about the whole journey and experience, he was easy to speak with and made time to answer all our questions and provided great advice on what to eat and how to prepare for each day’s trekking. Our porters Laxman and Shikar were also very good and engaging with everyone. I would definitely go back with this company and put my trust in Raj and the team again.

I had a great time on our trek. The other 12 people in the group were amazing fun people to be around. Our head guide Pooja was incredible at her job, she organized everything seamlessly, kept our safety as her number one priority while also encouraged us when it got tough and created a fun and warm environment. Our two assistant guides were also incredible. Surdip was amazing at spotting wildlife, pointing out monals, musk deer, mountain goats and more. He was funny, encouraging and skilled. Prem was warm and kind, capable of leading the pack or taking up the caboose.
The trek was truly incredible, being in the mountains for 14 days was so surreal, the miles we trekked and the views we saw were so impressive. Could not speak more highly of our guides as well as the people I meet on the trek.

Indira and her team were excellent. Communication in advance was first rate.
The reason I haven’t awarded them a 5 star rating is the quality of the guide I was given for my solo trip.
The guide was called Ram. He was by far the oldest and least fit of all the guides I saw on the trip. The experience was made worse by his lack of English and general laziness.
Due to his opinion of my fitness level we changed my original plan to do Mera Peak and did EBC instead. I am 64 and an ultra distance trail runner!!
Despite my attempts to get Ram to take me to the lakes or somewhere interesting as we had more time for the trek he was very dismissive. To quote’ those places are for younger people’!
Often when trekking he was so far behind me talking to other guides or my porter I had to wait for him to catch up when I got to a junction in the path.
Once again, an excellent company, just avoid this guide. They have much better ones including Sarala their female guide.

I liked the live chat, The guy I chatted with was very knowledgeable about the cycling in South East Asia. It's because of him I decided to go.
The email communication overall was slow and I was allocated a case worker without knowing. They were not as engaging until I purchased a trip, However as much I wanted to engage the guy on follow up questions with whom I chatted on live chat with I was told I cannot choose whom my file was allocated to. That put me off. And afterwards emails were from customer service rep and not the caseworker... it would be much better for me if I was able to communicate with whom I developed a rapport with vs whom I'm told is my caseworker. That's my only complaint. Was interesting to compare three customer service reps and their engagement. If I never had the guy chat online I think based of the email response to my initial enquiry and allocated case worker response I would have gone via a different company for this trip.

We had an amazing time doing the Annapurna circuit with our guide Diwaker and our porter Sujan. They really made our trip a good one.

What a trip! Icicles Adventure (commissioned by Adventure People) were simply phenomenal from start to finish. Pooja, Surdip, Prim...what heroes. Pooja is a phenomenal leader who oozes every leadership skill required. The porters are also unsung heroes. Honestly, best trip, best group of people. A once in a lifetime experience and the training beforehand was worth it. If you want such an experience, book it, train for it, enjoy every second of it!

We had a great experience trekking Everest base camp with Adventure People. Everything was handles and paid for before the trip so all meals and teahouses were handled before we got there, very convenient. They also hire out local tour companies who know the area and it helps promote growth in Nepal instead of shipping it overseas. Everyone in our group made it!

Excellent experience. Georgie is the best tour guide I've had so far. The tour covered most of the main tourist attractions and Georgie ensured that we all had the time we needed to get great photos. She's also an excellent photographer herself when you need one. She takes her job very seriously and ensured each and every one in the group had a great time and felt supported, even for the free time portions.

The only thing I would improve would be including the iconic Osaka castle in the shorter tour.

Recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek booked through Adventure People. The trek itself was absolutely incredible – a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Adventure People were easy to contact via email, but I found them less helpful over the phone, especially when we encountered issues with our flights just a few days before departure.

While the trekking experience itself deserves 5 stars, I’ve rated Adventure People 3 stars due to the lack of support when we needed to rearrange flights because of the recent war. Despite the airline offering a full refund, an admin fee was still charged, and I ultimately had to organise replacement flights myself, resulting in additional costs. Additionally, there seemed to be some miscommunication between Adventure People and the local tour company, which left us waiting by ourselves at the airport in Kathmandu and also provided incorrect information regarding equipment.

I originally chose to book with Adventure People for the reassurance of dealing with a UK-based company. However, after this experience—and learning during the trip that it’s significantly cheaper to book directly with the local tour company—I would likely book direct in the future.

The support I got from you to help book the tour, add accommodations, and provide information to prepare was outstanding. The local tour company - and particularly our guide - made all the difference. We had So. Much. Fun.

10/10 for the trip & my experience; everything was really well organised and ran like clockwork. Henry/Hung our guide was just incredible, he brought knowledge, energy, enthusiasm and humour to everything and made it an exceptional and memorable trip for everyone.

Avoid this company if you are Irish and tell your Irish friends to do likewise. Please give a thumbs up to this review its true and bad companies need to be called out for their lack of transparency. Adventure people quote in Euro on their advertising but do not support Irish travellers at all and they pretend to service Irish consumers but they are truly British racists. Yes it is very offensive. They extend a very poor level of service to the Irish its like a for orofit only afterthought. Every enquiry re boarding is like trying to get blood from a turnip. Email responses give inadequate information & you have to phone London several times even then you will have a bad and scary experience, For instance They do not even inform Irish travellers that a visa is required for travelling to Vietnam!! This means that the Irish customer will not find this out until they try to do their check 24 hrs before their flight!! If you are Irish you will pay €385 to secure a visa at Dublin airport or you cannot travel. Additionally you will have a James Bond experience where you have to meet a stranger in Hanoi airport and wait an hour begore you can go through customs to receive the visa passport stamp. You will miss the start of your group tour and miss out on seeing Hanoi's streets while worrying about collecting your luggage off the carousel & meeting your transfer person. Adventure people's response is inadequate and inept to an Irish citizen is the following " UK TRAVELLERS DON'T NEED A VISA FOR VIETNAM" I was not a UK traveller they knew this fact because Adventure people had asked for my passport details weeks prior to my trip and never thought to mention the requirement. When I sought to be reimbursed their marketing dept said they do not accept any responsibilty but they should. I was only asking them to provide the correct information not to get the visa for me! Vote with your feet. Walk away save yourself major stress.

If was a fantastic guide so you’re in for a treat if you get her! Everything was super well organised and communicated. It was a small group due to some cancellations but it was still a great experience overall! It’s a good balance of free time and organised activity. I did it in late March so just to be mindful that hiking in 35-7 degree temperatures can be a lot! You can buy water daily while hiking from the villages. Good trail runners is more than enough. The kayaking is super chill - plenty of chances for photos and snacks!

The trips all look fantastic, which is why we booked to go to India with this company. Booking is easy and payment is straightforward however I don't feel it is made clear that the actual tour is with another company and I only found this out once I've booked the trip (and paid) so I feel this should be a lot clearer. We were unfortunately unable to go on our trip due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as all flights were cancelled, and we don't feel this company, or the local company the tour was actually with, have been helpful at all. The local company have taken all our money, and basically said 'tough' and the Adventure People have said they need to respect that decision. We fully appreciate that companies have cancellation policies, but we were physically unable to get there, and everyone seems to be happy to wash their hands of the situation as it falls under 'war'. We've lost a huge amount of money and then to top it off, we get emails from this company asking how our tour was!

Disappointed that this company is happy to work with this local company that has no interest in actually trying to help customers. We understand some of the money was probably spent, but I don't accept that none of the money could be recovered. We booked a private tour so it's not like any of the activities were still taking place.

From the airport pick up and drop off. The hotel atay with pick and drop off to guided tours. The guided tours from island to island. The hotels and quality of them. I had the best time away in Thailand with the adventure people. The support staff ivy was brilliant. Every where I went was welcoming and friendly. The hotel stays were great. The boat and island tours were as advertised and better. Bright and sunny days on beaches and in pools. The food was great. Even the markets especially the night market in krabi. I suggest doing the nine day island hopping tour for couples and or small groups. It was magic. Thankyou to the adventure people. I will be going back or travelling with them again soon.

Help plan all aspects of our trip to Colombia, Ecuador and the Galapagps (flights, additional stays between trips and trips with GAdventure). Plus sort things out when something went wrong.

Loved everything about this trip! The booking process was very smooth and informative, the travel agents were very responsive and made sure all details were considered. At the local level, the guide and the driver did all possible to make s feel comfortable in spite of the currently adverse conditions in the country (Cuba).
