The course modules are digestible and interesting to follow and refer back to when needed. The assignments require a little further research which helps the student widen their knowledge and reference base. Assignment scoring is completed quickly and the tutors feedback is extremely helpful.
All in all very constructive and enjoyable.

The Art Institute has greatly exceeded my expectations. I was concerned it would be dry as prefer to learn by interacting. However excellent modules clearly written, accompanied by extensive examples of art work have been so stimulating. The feedback is prompt, detailed and personal. It has opened up a world of art, and interest in history.

The amount of expert information supplied in each module has been excellent and expanded my understanding and knowledge of art and the processes of producing art works and the aims of the artists.

The course is really comprehensive, delving deeply into the journey of art from past to present times. Modules are well written by experts and cohesively linked together. Assignments are challenging and really make you use your little grey cells! The personal tutor I have is wonderful. Always prompt with marking and providing thorough and detailed feedback. A super, informative course which is very enjoyable. I absolutely look at art differently now.

Such excellent content, well managed and my assignments were marked sometimes in 24 hours allowing me to crack on with next module. Have loved every minute and need my next challenge.

I signed up for the on line Art Institute course after retiring from General Practice as I’ve always been interested in learning more about Art History. I’m so glad I did because the course has really opened my eyes on the subject. The 12 modules are well written and interesting. The tutors are encouraging , prompt to mark each assignment and the feedback is very useful. They provide other additional on line lectures too which help students to further understand the subject. I would highly recommend the Art Institute to anyone wanting to learn more about Art. This course has spurred me on to do further study with them too.

The modules are extremely interesting and well written. The assignments are a challenge due to the limited word count. My tutor, Francesca, marks my assignments promptly and gives me useful and informative feedback.

Fascinating module content that is lengthy enough but not overwhelming. Really responsive tutors who turn around assignment marking quickly and with helpful feedback. A really rewarding experience for those, like me, who want a taste of studying art history.

The Art Appreciation course is well constructed and extremely interesting. I am learning a huge amount. My only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5, is that the course material could do with some proof reading to eliminate minor typos. The tutors are excellent and the Art Institute itself has been very helpful on the odd occasion I have contacted them.

I've just completed module 10 of this course and can say with all honesty it's been a fantastic experience so far. The modules are interesting reading, the assignments challenging and the feedback has been just wonderful. 10/10

Highly recommend The Art Institute and the Art Appreciation diploma.
Study is self-led and flexible to the time you have to dedicate to the course. Working full time, my time was limited however the course materials with a little wider reading were enough for me to complete the modules with confidence. However if I had more time I could have done much more reading around the modules. It is good that the course is designed for you to get as much out of it as your lifestyle can accommodate, whilst making it achievable for all.
My tutor, Francesca Ramsey has been fantastic. Her feedback has been open, friendly and constructive. All my queries have been responded to in a timely manner.
The assignments are thought provoking and encourage you to be concise and to the point.

I have to confess that I had my doubts at first, with the course being wholly online, but I have been delighted that all my reservations have been unfounded.

I found the course well constructed, thought provoking, delightful and challenging. It has been a great experience (I am about to complete module 12/12).

If I had to make a nit-picking criticism it would be that it would have been easier to read and look at the art work under discussion on the same page within each module.

I looked at many reviews before I started the course and was persuaded, so I am going to pass it forward. Go for it, you won’t regret it. You will look at all art and design with fresh eyes!

It is great to have your work marked by renowned art historians. So far so good. It is quite a commitment to do this sort of study after work, and although the essays are short - there is quite a bit of reading around the subject to do.
The team have been generous with me when commitments interfered with timing. I would like to see more resources (films etc) on the portal, but am v happy.

A well constructed course designed and written by leading experts in Art.
Each module is comprehensive with stunning images. The three questions per module are thought provoking and easily researched.
Modules are marked quickly and the feedback from my tutor has been extremely helpful and focused on improving my understanding and appreciation of different Art movements.

The ability to immerse oneself in each module at whatever pace suits. Very good detailed feedback following each assignment and the tutor always makes you feel that you are getting one to one tuition. Always interesting modules set out in a clear manner which is easy to understand.

I have been so impressed by the course content - it is extremely well structured and accessible to all. If you are thinking about taking an art course - make it this one - it opens up a whole new world! Additionally, all staff at The Art Institute have always been really responsive and extra special thanks to my tutor, Libby, who has always been so encouraging and provides really constructive feedback.
