Very responsive company. Had a survey done and explained what I was thinking of doing and why. Predominately, insulation to reduce loft temperature on very hot days and, with some expectation of it reducing heat loss in winter. Was told that, had I continued with my current plan I would be disappointed with the results - so we went for thicker Cellotex panels.
The quotation was quite expensive but I decided to proceed. The fitters did a very good job in what was a very big and and and, at one end, cluttered loft. The first thing we noticed after completion was how much lighter the loft environment was. Whilst there has not been any extremely hot days as yet, the main part of the house only reached 22C on days where the outside temperature was about 30C in the shade and a great deal hotter in the sun (part of main roof faces SW). Before insulating the conservatory had reached between 90 and 100C even with the door open for ventilation.
The only negative comment is that the fitters left quite a lot of mess to be cleared up, broken cable ties to be replaced and touching up to paintwork. That said, overall, the fitters were friendly, polite and they did a good professional job that would have taken me a lot longer and I would not have achieved such a good result. It certainly seems to have insulated the house from intense solar radiation. This should make the house more comfortable but only time will tell. I did not expect this to be a cost effective solution in the short to medium term as I already had thick insulation between the rafters.

Its always a nerve racking experience, choosing someone to come into your home, and make fundamental changes - trusting a bunch of strangers to do a good job, based on no previous experience of what the work entails. With so many horror stories about cowboy builders leaving the place worse than they found it or doing serious damage. I am very happy to say that our experience was the opposite of that. Attic guys are amazing. The work was divided down into options, so you can choose what you need specifically, and they accommodated our particular needs -It felt like working with a business who is genuinely proud of their work. Dealing with Sara was just wonderful, she made useful suggestions, discussed our specific needs with Tom -who oversaw the work, didn't try to sell us unwanted things, she was very kind, approachable and friendly, and genuinely wants the best - Tom and Filip were also really easy to talk to, explained in person what they planned to do, and then Filip and his crew worked tirelessly (and I mean tirelessly - they didn't actually seem to stop for a break!) to get the work done. All in all I would recommend Attic guys to anyone. They cleared, insulated, built a sturdy floor, installed a staircase added a window and celotexed our loft in four days, and did it without causing any drama or mess. A****

It took a little while to get an appointment, but The Attic Guys did a good job insulating and boarding my loft. Unfortunately they weren't able to install the boarding as high as they quoted for due to rafters in the way, but they were able to find a reasonable compromise solution to still have a decent amount of insulation in the boarded section.

Prompt, professional service and the job (boarding, insulation and light installation) was completed very efficiently. Thank you!

The Attic Guys team were efficient from start to finish. The quotation process was simple with a rapid turnaround. We agreed the scope of work; installation of a loft ladder, additional loft insulation, an area of boarding out and the addition of a light with a switch. The team turned up at the time and date agreed and did a very professional job. They completed the work in less than a day and did a full clean after themselves. We are very pleased with the result. My wife and I had a outstanding service from The Attic Guys they completed working on our loft in 2 days.
The inside of our roof was Celotex and loftboarding was put down on the floor.

This team did a great job - converting my unusual loft space (as most peoples are) with collections of old' tanks, boxes, etc etc, included increasing loft hatch sizes and fitting infinitely better access steps etc ...and poor minimal insulation - and transformed it into a fully boarded, light, clean and usable space - at the same time they recommended increasing the loft insulation depth and also putting insulation into the root rafters to really take it from 'poor and minimal' to 'excellent' - this was a recommendation that our recent home survey suggested to make substantive different in heating costs etc.

From the moment of quoting (Tom coming round to review / survey) to the quote to the 'pre work' and the actual completion - has been superlative - for such major work to occur while we were in the house and working has been superb - also the team were so in-tune and customer aware to ensure no 'contamination while moving things up / down the loft' and they were super diligent on ensuring they kept everything clean, taking away everything and 'vacuuming / making every good'.... cannot recommend enough

Attic Guys are a brilliant firm.
I wanted my loft sorted out with insulation a ladder, and lighting. They did a fantastic job.
I got quotes from other firms that were a bit cheaper, but those other firms did not think the ladders I wanted could be installed. Attic Guys sorted that out and recommended and installed wanted I wanted. it now looks great.

A great team of people, nothing too much trouble and they know what they are doing and can advise on what is possible or not.

Attic guys fitted a loft ladder in our house and boarded the loft in our double garage. We compared 2 different companies for the same job and The Attic Guys sales process was much more professional (they followed up to start with!) and their estimate was better value for money. Their advice was very helpful and balanced even when it meant less work for them.

When it came to the actual work being done they turned up when they said they would, worked long days to get it done in 2 days and went the extra mile to do their best to improve in areas the original builders has taken short cuts with.

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to thank you for the great service we received before Christmas. The surveyor turned up as expected, explained the limitations of the job & we received a proposal promptly & within the timescales he had said.

The 2 guys that came to install the loft insulation & new hatch & ladder were both excellent. They were on time, courteous & kept the house clean whilst carrying out the works. They also explained what they had installed & gave a good demo on the new hatch & ladder once completed.

Contacted the Attic Guys to insulate a loft space in a Summerhouse.
They arrived on time and conducting the work in a timely manner, to a very high standard. The two lads that carried out the work didn't stop grafting. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone who requires this type of work to be carried out. Will definitely use them again!
