I'm new to road cycling and just bought a new racing bike from The Bicycle Lounge. Matt, Howie and Sean were really helpful and friendly, and got me up and running with a perfect fitting bike.

For me how effectively a company puts things right is a key indicator of how good they are. I ordered a couple of items - one of which wasn’t quite as I had ordered it. (A genuine mistake) I sent an email when I got home from work and they responded instantly - putting it right. Really great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

First class experience with the Bicycle Lounge, neat family run business and as I always find it’s more personal and thorough.

Bespoke fit service, relaxed and friendly with some good helpful advice too.

Bought two Pinarellos after riding two Orbeas for 15 years. Service from Matt and his team was great including complementary bike fit which was invaluable . Managed to do 75 mile Bakewell sportive without any joint problems so well worth the investment.

Bought an Orro Terra C 105 Di2 from Matt at the beginning of August through the company’s Cycle 2 Work scheme after being referred by a friend. From the first comms by email, Matt could not have been anymore helpful. When I collected the bike Matt couldn’t do the fitting but organised a later date for me to come back. Having ridden the bike a few times, Matt listened to my feedback, did the fitting and adjusted the bike in line with the assessment and my comments. What a difference those few small adjustments have made.
Matt’s professional & friendly approach and the way his team welcome you into a pristine well appointed shop is nothing short of brilliant! I’ve already passed on the recommendation my friend made to me to others who enjoy bikes & cycling as it’s obvious that that’s what Matt & the Bicycle Lounge love to!

Just purchased my new Pinarello bike from The Bicycle Lounge. I was so impressed with the professionalism of Matt and his team. Their service was exemplary. Their honesty in advising which bike was best for my needs, really helped me make the right purchase. The bike fit is perfect and am so impressed with how it rides and handles. Included was the Bike Fit so you know as you leave, no adjustment necessary straight on the road if you wish. That’s why people travel hundreds of miles to visit this store.

I very rarely write reviews but the quality of service I received from Matt and the team at The Bicycle Lounge warrants an absolute 5* one.

From the outset no request (and there were many!) was too much trouble and when I picked up my bike the attention to detail in getting it set up perfectly for me was nothing short of first class.

The professionalism, customer care and friendly approach shone through, The Bicycle Lounge is the perfect example of how to do things the right way.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Matt at the Bicycle Lounge, glad I called in!! Told Matt what I was looking for and budget and he talked me through the options with no hard sell on any particular brand. He made some recommendations and I ended up going for the Pinarello Prince which I love. Matt told me about the forthcoming promotion on the Pinarello and whilst it wasn’t live at the time put it through together with the offer to upgrade the wheels which was too good to refuse.

The bike fit was great and Matt talked through the issues and options, really helpful and informative.

Overall a great buying experience and would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. The customer service was second to none.

Made an enquiry with Matt about a bike he phoned back within 10 minutes after checking stock with the supplier ordered and delivered to the shop within a short time , promt and helpful service from a team that are enthusiastic , travelled 91 miles to collect from the shop it’s nice to find an independent shop that still provides the personal service we used to get .

Absolutely delighted with my new Pinarello X3 purchased from The Bicycle Lounge. Its magnificent and the difference between this and my old bike is too big to describe! The gear change is fantastic, the ride is quicker, saddle comfy, breaks responsive and the quality of carbon (to me) makes the ride seem smoother. I have been a customer of the Bicycle Lounge on and off for about 20 years, from back when it was still (I think) Harry Middleton Cycles. Matt, Paul, and Sean always seem to have time to offer advice, whether you are looking for a small piece of kit, have a bike that needs a service, or are after something more exciting, like those shiny carbon wheels or the new bike that you ‘need’. It’s the contrast between this friendly and sensible advice from experienced and knowledgable cyclists that I always get at the Bicycle Lounge, and the (occasionally patronising) sales patter that I have experienced elsewhere, which keeps me coming back to the Bicycle Lounge. The new showroom upstairs is a great place to start the search for your next bike (as I did), and downstairs houses the kit and accessories, all of which can be seen and ordered on the website. Support your LBS.

Such a refreshing change to deal with knowledgeable staff. Matt and his team are a pleasure to buy from they listened & discussed all my needs, took all my measurements and came up with various suggestions. No pushiness at all.

Matt was fantastic and the bike fit was very comprehensive. I now have 20% more power and back pain has vanished. Well worth the money would highly recommend.

From my first contact over the phone/email and walking into the shop and leaving with the bike was a pleasure. The whole experience went like a dream due to Matt his teams knowledge and excellent customer service. I cant thank them enough and the 430mile round trip from London was well worth it. Why cant every bike shop be like this?

Had a bike fit two weeks ago with Matt, really made me feel welcome and explained the process and reasons for the small changes he made clearly. Two weeks of riding it now and I've felt less fatigued and stronger on my long rides. Would definitely recommend 👍👍

I love me new Pinarello and it's all thanks to Matt and the team. If it hadn't have been for the expertise I received I would of had the completely wrong frame size. I live 175 miles from the shop but it was so worth the visit. Thanks to Matt's bike fit I now have more power and who doesn't want that.
