Excellent service

Excellent customer service and he managed to completely fix my boiler within the day after we had been left without any heating previously. He even took time to explain how to work the entire system for us. Cannot fault the service and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a similar service

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. They are happy to be on call when they want the business but you will not hear back on any issues raised once the job is done. We had our boiler installed almost 3yrs ago and have had issues with the heat exchanger from the start. We were passed off to the manufacturer who infact said the system required a flush which was suppose to have been done correctly at time of install. The manufacturer came out and fixed the issue as it was the first time but the issue happened once again and again we were told to go to the manufacturer. This time we had to pay out of our pockets for them to come out and fix the issue. Boiler Exchange ie Chris has not been helpful or contactable throughout the process. We also had asked for a boiler service to be carried and after numerous calls and texts, we have yet to hear back. Safe to say we’ll be taking our business elsewhere and filing an official complaint.

The issue with the boiler you have been having is due to the boiler previously having not been serviced properly by one of the national boiler care providers. The quality of the water in the system can affect the performance. When we fitted your boiler back in 2019 the system was flushed and a filter installed. You came to us earlier in the year and we immediately attended free of charge and cleaned the filter and flushed the system through again as a gesture of goodwill - here is the review you left us a few months ago - 'We used the boiler exchange back in 2019 to have a new boiler installed and the process was effortless. Fast forward to 2022, we had an issue with the boiler which meant no hot water or heating for almost 5 days. Chris managed to get one of the engineers out to our rescue in no time and resolve the issue the same day. Thank you to Chris and James and for getting us back up and running while the 3rd party (big SP) left us hanging. Thanks guys' - in the interim the problem reoccurred and we advised any further visits would be chargeable on our end. You were resistant to having to pay to fix the problems caused by the previous poor servicing and this is understandable, but it is also unexpected that we should cover this cost more so given the fact we did attend 3 years later free of charge to try to put things right for you. Had the boiler been serviced correctly from the start you wouldn't be in the position you found yourself in so any negative review on service should reflect 'SP' as you refer to them, not The Boiler Exchange nor Viessmann..... we have hundreds of happy customers who we have installed for and carry out their ongoing servicing.

Replacement boiler

From requesting a survey through the internet, to arranging a survey/quote and the installation of a new boiler was really easy and quick. Both the surveyor Chris and the fitter James were very competent and were able to answer all of my‘ridiculous’ questions.

Really happy with the excellent work…

Really happy with the excellent work done at our place in Fife with a new boiler and radiators installed from the Boiler Exchange team. Nothing was too much trouble and everything installed before winter. Thank you so much. Highly recommend them.

Great customer service.

Great customer service from the boiler exchange, Chris came out to survey what needed done and recommended a boiler, based on my needs, price quoted was very competitive, with no pressure sales pitch,and I was able to have the work completed the next day! Installer James was on time, courteous, polite, and did a really good job. A minor niggle with the heating controls was quickly sorted, and James did not leave until I was completely happy.
I now have confidence that my heating and hot water will be reliable for many years to come.

Couldn’t be happier with the service we…

Couldn’t be happier with the service we received from the Boiler Exchange from start to finish. Very speedy, officiant and stress free experience. Chris was very helpful and generous with his time helping us select our product and James the engineer did a fantastic job with the installation. Highly recommend

Great service, great boiler

Chris gave an incredibly comprehensive overview of the boiler we were fitting, and was able to accommodate us into the schedule within days of the initial meeting. As it's summer, we've not had a chance to use the boiler a great deal, but it looks fantastic and has been fitted impeccably. Even our kitchen fitter commented on how well it had been installed! Crucially, we've ended up with a high end boiler for several hundred pounds cheaper than other boiler companies in Glasgow - which is massively important as we don't have a huge budget to renovate our flat. The whole experience was very positive, and I feel really assured that if there's any issues, Chris and the team will be on hand to help.

Delighted with my new boiler

Delighted with my new boiler. Within 48 hours of Chris attending to survey and demonstrate the benefits of a new boiler it is all fully installed and working. Even although my boiler was in working order it was beginning to show signs of its age. I had an issue with my new shower going hot and cold, Chris advised that my heat exchanger was the issue, I’m glad to report back that I no longer have this problem. On the day of install we had a minor issue, the thermostat supplied was the hive mini, within a few minutes it was rectified and arrangements made to have the required thermostat supplied within the hour. Thanks Chris and Peter. Would fully recommend them👍

An honest and brilliant service

An honest and brilliant service from the first meeting to the final installation from their chosen fitter. Chris went through what boiler was complaint to my house (others didn't do that inc British Gas) through to the perfect Kw output. The pricing was unbeatable too. I'd happily recommend The Boiler Exchange to anyone. Superb!

Top class service

From my initial contact with The Boiler Exchange with Chris to the installation completion I have been extremely impressed with the service I have received. Chris took the time to explain our options and once we had decided to proceed with the installation the communication was excellent. James came to fit the new combi boiler and could not have been more professional and obliging. The customer service between Linda, Chris and James has been outstanding and I would highly recommend that if you want a great hassle free installation use The Boiler Exchange.

A new central heating system.

We called The Boiler Exchange Co. last Friday after realising that our existing central heating system was about to die. We had a visit from Chris on the Monday and,after having a discussion of our options we settled on one of the boilers offered. We were surprised to find that we could have the new system fitted a few days later so,not too long a wait to get things moving ! On the Thursday morning,Peter the engineer/fitter arrived promptly at eight a.m and started work. Shortly after three p.m all the work was completed,including him having brushed up any mess that had been made.Peter then took time to explain to us how best to operate the new system, as we had opted to be able to operate the new boiler from our phones using WiFi,he also showed us how to do that too. All in all a relatively painless experience and I would be happy to recommend this company to any potential customers !

I decided to change from a conventional…

I decided to change from a conventional boiler to a combi system on advice from Chris.
The guys came out and fitted the new boiler in less than a day. They removed my hot water tank, heating controls and shower pump. Everything was left clean and tidy- they even used my hoover. James talked me through how to use the new boiler and they registered it with the manufacturer for guarantee.I would recommend the Boiler Exchange on good advice, price and a speedy, tidy job.

Chris came out and gave good advice, James and Norrie and the builder all did a fantastic job! The old system was 30 years old and I'm getting used to the new one, the company have really helped me getting to grips with its operation

HIGHTLY recommend Good price Good service

Recently have a systems boiler replaced with a combi boiler. Chris came very quick for quote and explain the pros and cons and how its run etc detaily.A bit complicated on find the old pump but James and Norrie are very experience on it and spot it out very soon and correctly(what other companies fail to do so). It's HIGHLY recommend going with The Boiler Exchange from quote to installation to aftercare. Tons of thanks to all for a good job well done.

Conventional boiler install

Had a new conventional boiler installed last Thursday. Had an issue with a burn on the mainboard during the install which Peter the heating engineer was very apologetic about. A Valliant engineer promptly attended the next day and swapped out the mainboard. As well as arranging the Valliant callout, Chris from sales had arranged an electrician to attend and check for any electrical issues. Finally the boiler was commissioned by Peter on the Sunday. Great reaction and communication in response by the company when an issue was identified. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for a trustworthy reliable install.

New Viessmann boiler

My existing system boiler was around 20 years old and inefficient so wanted to renew it before it failed. I called The Boiler Exchange and a couple of other Viessmann approved companies as I wanted a Viessmann boiler. Chris visited the same day I called and explained all options very clearly. Although a slightly more expensive option we fully agreed to change our heating system to suit a combination boiler. Chris tried to secure the sale with a very competitive quote on the same visit but I'm a little cautious as we've have had plenty of bad experiences with trades visiting the house so wanted to wait and think it over.
After receiving visits and quotes from other companies I contacted Chris and asked him to go ahead with the new boiler fit. James and Norrie arrived early on the day and were all done by around 4pm. They were both very pleasant and experienced people and obviously knew what they about.
I've already recommended The Boiler Exchange to neighbours and a family member and would not hesitate to do this again. Even after the fit, Chris remains dedicated to customer care - an increasingly rare quality from a trades company.
My only negatives with the fit were the Hive controller which took a bit of my own time to get right, the quality (thickness) of new pipe insulation and diameter of the condensate pipe (boiler in unheated garage). However, these are minor negatives and is most likely down to me being very picky !

Happy customer

Systems boiler replaced with a combi boiler. Had a complicated set up with a twin flue system but James and Norrie handled it with ease. From getting a quote from Chris, to the installations by James and Norrie, and communications with Linda - it's been a great choice going with The Boiler Exchange.
