The Countryman Chef 

I was lucky enough to share an evening with special friends for my special birthday and The Countryman Chef cooked our dinner. Matt and Pippa are lovely and their food is extra special. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing meal last night to celebrate my friends special birthday. Excellent food, so delicious. Both Matt & Pippa are very personable. Very professional but also felt part of the evening with their care & attention. Thank you so much from Trish & friends.

We had an amazing dinner cooked by Matt for our Dads 80th birthday. Fantastic experience- food beautiful and they were great hosts. Can highly recommend. Thank you again Matt.

What can I say? Matt and Pippa catered for a 65th birthday evening; they were organised, a pleasure to deal with, friendly and most importantly - the food was delightful. We went for the relaxed 3 course menu, but already considering when we can use Matt and Pippa's services again and try through taster menu!

Matt came in and cooked a surprise engagement dinner for my fiancé and I. Him and his partner were nothing but FANTASTIC! Right from the onset, Matt was easy to communicate with, and made me feel like he was genuinely excited about the whole thing. I opted for a surprise menu and let Matt choose every course, it was definitely the right choice. The experience, the food, and the company was more than I could have ever asked for. Truly the highlight of a very special weekend! Couldn’t recommend him enough!

Booked the Countryman Chef as a surprise for our mum for her 70th birthday to have top class food in the comfort of her own home.

We were not disappointed. The food was exquisite (scallops, pasta and lamb courses were particular favourites), the service super friendly and the whole experience very relaxing.

What a wonderful meal we had, one of the best experiences I have had. To have a chef cook you the most delicious food and then also be waited on for the whole meal was just superb!

We booked the tasting menu for our guests this weekend and just wow, what an experience! Matt and Pipp were just amazing, from the moment they walked through the door, they made it fun and the food was just mind blowing! Will 100% use them again and would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Wow, absolutely amaziiiiiiinnnggg food. The whole experience was out of this world. Fresh and good quality food which was presented beautifully. We felt very well looked after. Would defo recommend. Cannot wait to sample again. 😍 (sorry about the peas)

Matt gave us another fantastic dinner last night. Didn’t know lettuce could taste so good!
This is the second time I have had Matt’s food and it is fantastic. I arranged a family celebration dinner for my husbands 60th birthday and we all loved it. My son said it was the best good he’s had for years!

Nothing is too much trouble and Matt is really helpful and accommodates all allergies and any fussy eaters, without any hassle.

Service was professional friendly and informative, highly recommend both Matt and his cuisine. Also have to add I have food allergies which Matt was so great at supporting and talking me through the process of options and being incredibly creative with my menu options and choices. We attended a surprise dinner party last weekend catered for exquisitely by Matt! Every bite was a pure delight and Matt and his partner produced a flawless evening of culinary perfection accompanied with excellent service. We will most definitely be booking Matt ourselves! Matt and his team are so accommodating and so genuinely warm they offer more than the food - it is a unique dining experience like no other and then they leave as friends! Matt and Pippa were amazing, great hosts that complimented our whole evening. His food was delicious!!!! Having him in the kitchen was a masterclass experience. We were able to interact him as he created magical plates of food and we got a real understanding of where his food was sourced from. A truly blessed evening and would highly recommend this to everyone.

Matt and his team catered for our wedding before Christmas. There were 13 of us in total so we wanted a relaxed but special sharing style dinner with canapés beforehand. From beginning to end Matt was just brilliant. He understood immediately what we were looking for and created the perfect menu. On the day they went above and beyond our expectations, working to our timings, topping up drinks, helping with the table setting and even taking some photos for us. And we were just blown away by the canapés and the meal. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Matt and the team really helped to make our day so special and booking them was honestly one of the best things we did! Thanks so much Matt!

First time trying the personal chef experience and whilst before the team arriving I thought it’d be a bit awkward, what an absolutely great experience from the moment they walked through the door - very friendly, warm and lovely. The dishes were superb that definitely pushed us from our comfort zone compared to what we’d usually try in a restaurant. Highly recommended.

Matt came to cook dinner for our family on the occasion of our son and his family returning for a holiday from Australia. As there were 5 small Grandchildren in bed upstairs, having dinner cooked at home was such a wonderful idea for the eight adults. From the first telephone call, we knew that Matt would do a splendid job and so it proved. He was professional and friendly, the food was superb and the service spot on. Travis who came to assist was delightful and everything was achieved with ease. A perfect evening for everyone.

The countryman chef provided us with an incredible evening of exceptional food. It was one of the best meals we have ever had, the food was just perfect. We did the tasting menu and found the dishes exciting but delicious and we left no food at all! Matt and his team were amazing, and made us feel so special, the food was of the highest quality and the service was impeccable. I honestly cannot recommend him enough, we definitely plan to have Matt cook for us again, an incredible chef and such a nice person. We had the best evening!
