I only contact The Currency Account when we go on holiday or send gifts of money.
They have a lovely lady called Hattice who is very caring and laid back. She slowly talks me through everything enabling me to carry out the transactions online.
Without her I would not have the courage to do it myself.

Quick currency, good rates and intuitive tool
Have had this app for some time and it is great, easy to use, effective and good security follow up when sending payments. The only thing that 'gets' me slightly is the high cost of having travel money delivered £15 per transaction. But sending funds to anywhere in the world is great, just £5 for standard delivery and the exchange rates are always competitive.

£150,000 still lost after over 1 month
£150,000 still lost after over 1 month. I attempted to exchange most of my life savings (£150,000) from GBP into USD mid April to avoid potential negative impact of no deal Brexit. The money has since been completely missing. I sent the GBP from my UK bank account and was meant to receive the USD to a UK account a couple of days later but never received them. It is unclear where in the banking system it was lost and attempts to resolve the matter as well as communication have been appalling. It took nearly 2 weeks before The Currency Account even attempted to locate the funds. Multiple deadlines where I was supposed to get more information have been missed and I am still none the wiser. The staff know that this is most of my money and yet most of them display very little sympathy for the situation and for them it is business as usual. Considering the amount of money missing, I would expect The Currency Account to contact the regularly but I only get updates when I chase the matter. I am now being advised to try and recall the wire but have already been informed that there is a good chance it won't work. No one has informed me what will happen if the monies remain missing. If you want the peace of mind that you get the money you exchanged, do not use The Currency Account

The basic service is ok. However the rates they give are now nowhere near as competitive as they used to be. They can fluctuate depending on time of day and the day of the week (or weekend) while the Oanda market rate remains basically unchanged.
The account data which can be viewed on line is, for me, lacking. I would like to see running balances displayed of GBP and the currency most recently purchased.
While the range of currencies which can be purchased has increased there are still significant gaps in comparison to other Forex dealers.
