Could not see the hidden fees until I had converted my money. When I contacted them to get my money back I was told to convert back to sterling loosing money and a 0.5% fee to return it. Be careful of fees did not work out as good as going down to post office..

Funds for Dutch house purchase
I had to arrange the transfer of 2 substantial sums to The Netherlands from the UK in a tight time frame ( because of the fluctuating exchange rate ). The Currency Account were very efficient , contacting me at precisely the times arranged and delivering my Euros in good time on the days arranged to enable the purchase to go through very smoothly.

I'm a returning client
I'm a returning client, as I bought travel money from The Currency Account before and I am pleased with the service and rate they offered then and now. If you only need to buy travel money, you might find the system not so very friendly. For example, I knew beforehand that there were fees for the delivery, but couldn't find on the website how much it is, or how it is calculated, or if I can pay for it in a different currency, etc. All in all I'm satisfied and I'll most probably buy travel money again from The Currency Account.

Would have given more but was charged to refund money back to myself which I find annoying as you have to put money in to transfer abroad and you don't know what those charges are until you have done it

Took a while to set up and staff helped via phone and chat, but the worst problems were actually at my bank end. However, I did get frustrated that it was impossible to find out the cost of home delivery, so I had to transfer extra and then send it straight back to my account at a cost of £5!

easy to use, good rates but.....
easy to use website and good rates. The only gripe is that I've ordered travel money 2-3 times now, specified a delivery date, and each time the cash has been delivered on a different day! Luckily someone has been in, but it's odd that i'm asked to specify a date and it's then delivered earlier!
