What a beautiful website. I made up a care box for a family member. I received a photograph of the box made up before posting, which I thought was a lovely touch. The care box arrived beautifully packaged and when my family member opened it, she was truly touched and appreciative. Thank you for this wonderful website whose products bring a smile and a little luxury to those going through tough journeys

What a fabulous company this is! I could not be happier with the whole process from start to finish. The products are all beautiful and so thoughtfully curated, and all Irish products too. Even the packaging was top-notch! The communication from Roisin was perfect, she was so helpful and made everything so easy. The person I bought the Chemo Care Package for was absolutely delighted and raved about the quality of all the products. I'm so happy I found the website, sometimes it's hard to know what the right approach is when someone is sick and this gift struck just the right tone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Elephant In The Room. Thank you so much!

I’ve known about The Elephant in the Room for a few years now. I’d browsed the website many times, always thinking how thoughtful and unique it was, but thankfully, I’d never been in a position where I needed to use it.
Sadly, that changed recently when one of my dearest friends was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Like anyone in that situation, I desperately wanted to do something to send comfort, love, support, but the last thing I had the energy for was trawling through websites or walking around shops trying to piece together the “right” gift.
That’s where The Elephant in the Room truly shines.
Everything is already there practical, beautifully thought-out, well-researched and genuinely useful items that actually support someone going through illness. Even more incredibly, this woman-run business has carefully grouped care packages by illness, so you can simply click, choose, and know you’re sending something meaningful and appropriate without having to overthink or overwhelm yourself.
My friend absolutely loved the care parcel I sent her. She especially mentioned the queasy drops, saying they were the only thing that helped get rid of that awful metallic taste chemo leaves in your mouth.
Hands down, this is one of the most thoughtful small businesses I’ve ever come across with the biggest heart behind it.
I could not recommend The Elephant in the Room highly enough. A beautiful business doing deeply meaningful work.

I was a bit late ordering my cushions, just two days before my double mastectomy. Roisin got in touch with me immediately and reassured me that she would do her best to get them to me on time. She got them in the express mail and my husband had them in the car when he came to bring me home from hospital. They are the most beautiful cushions. And I also wasn’t charged for the extra post! I have to say this is top class service when you are in the most vulnerable times!
