I was very happy with the service The Floor Room at Peter Jones provided from beginning to end. Nurul who advised me on the choice of carpet was extremely knowledgable and patient, offering me very sound advice and the various pros and cons regarding different types of carpets. She also was very accommodating with my ever changing schedule.
The carpet is lovely, just right and i'm thrilled with it. The fitters were also excellent, highly professional and quick. 5* all around

She went out of her way to ensure we got the best price for the materials and the best contractors for the jobs. We had a wooden floor as well as carpet laid for two separate areas. Half the amount of flooring was ordered…
Half the amount of flooring was ordered after having sent a surveyor and months to organise it all. I got sent an email with an extra invoice at the end of the first day of replacement, asking for more money as they had run out of parquet. Minimal explanation. Had I not asked for clarification and called nothing would have been resolved. The cluster manager did not even bother to call to apologise. When I did finally speak to him the following day, after repeated chasing, he was rude and unwilling to accept responsibility for the extra charges.
I had to wait all morning for a response, which I had to chase for. I now have to wait an extra week for the rest of the flat to be finished. Not once was an attempt made to apologise or speed up the process. Not to mention the added costs of furniture storage, and moving out were not acknowledged. The FR at Peter Jones is a mess. Zero client service capability. Extremely disappointed. Awful service.

It took 4 days and innumerable phone calls toget an acknowledgment for the money I sent
Then I had to come in to the store to find out what happens next
There was no one on the desk I had to ask the floor manager to find someone and the sit and wait for 10 minutes .

I only dealt with Stuart at Peter Jones and Tottenham Court rd. He has promised to ensure my carpet is fitted when I want and managed to save me approximately 20% of the cost. He was polite, professional and very efficient. I would highly recommend but as they use a separate company for fitting the story is not finished as yet because the carpet will be fitted in April 24.
