I started my transition with the london gender clinic back in january and had my first consult in late 2021 with Amanda Belsham. She was kind and respectful and incredibly helpful answering all questions i had. and even ones i didnt know i had about the process of transitioning.

My first clinic appointment was a little nerve wracking as its a big step towards a better future and Amanda made it incredibly welcoming like it was just a casual meeting which was really nice! during the consult i also was seen by Mary a lady incharge of perscriptions and she was awesome and so friendly and made the whole experience fun!

Since then i have been able to contact Amanda about any queries i have even if my emails make no sense she is always helpful!

Overall i am very glad im being treated here. though private costs alot, being treated by this team is worth every bit.

I am for the first time in a long time looking forward to my future knowing that my transition is underway and within the safe and incredible hands of the LTC team!

Mr Christopher inglfield Is a wonderful doctor all the staff are amazing. The way he explains the process is at your own speed. I had a lovely experience.

Today I had my first appointment to get top surgery. I cant put into words how amazing the team is at making you feel comfortable, listening to you and giving you time during the appointments to ask questions etc! I have also been taking testosterone with the LTC for nearly two years and that has also been a breeze! I am so happy I chose this clinic, they have changed my life!

The London Transgender Clinic has been amazing so far in my experience and my transition. They understand when I tell them my stories and emotions. Getting onto hormones was a smooth ride I had a zoom appointment for my first and the second I had an afternoon appointment in clinic which gave me plenty of time to travel down on the trains with ease. I even got to tour around London for the first time while there for the appointment which was such a bonus. I normally hate appointments especially medically ones and while I was nervous due to anxiety anyway it wasn't like what I normally am during doctor or dentist ones. The waiting room is really posh for starters and friendly. The environment is welcoming and cosy that includes the rest of the building I saw too like the room for my appointment and the corridor with the machine for taking weight and measurements too. I'm on hormones now and I'm so grateful to the team there.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful especially Bethany who has done both my appointments and answered my emails when I had questions after the appointment. She talked to me like she'd know me for years and as a friend instead of that horrible formal talk you'd do with a teacher or doctor. It really helped ease my nerves about it all and made me feel like transitioning was going to be possible and within hands reach which isn't something I thought I'd get too with the NHS waiting list haha.

Friendly staff, effective care

Really friendly staff, explain everything to you and help with any issues you might have. Super professional, couldn't recommend more.

I am happy with the care I have received through the hormone clinic so far. However, it is almost impossible to contact them when I need something (prescription, discuss a medical problem that appeared...). I always have to try calling multiple times a day for many days in a row until I am able to talk to someone. But once I speak to the team they are always friendly and helpful. I understand the desire to increase the number of patients, however, that must not compromise the quality of care given to existing patients.

Our first appointment at the clinic and my daughter couldn’t be more happier. Lovely team on reception to greet you, and friendly professional assessment with Bethany the nurse . Reassuring, kind and treated us like she had known us for years. Looking forwards to watching my daughters process with the clinic. Thank you so much ❤️ The Wood family x

Switched my care from GenderGP to London Trans clinic and its honestly the best choice i have made. I absolutely love Mary there, shes passionate, funny, personable and very knowledgeable! Too many professionals prescribe on a whim, with no backup to their rationale, whereas i feel so confident and comfortable now that i am in the right hands.

Massive thank you to the team at LTC for supporting my journey so far over the last year and half. I would like to personally thank Lydia who is the clinics most recent addition to the hormones team. She is professional, friendly, understanding, furer and her communication In person and via email is faultless. Looking forward to seeing you in August :)

Looked after me exceptionally well. Had some difficulties with my actual GP but the clinic were very accommodating of my circumstances, and I’m now getting to live as me!

They were fantastic and all super friendly and helpful. They put my mind at ease that I was in safe hands in a welcoming environment from the moment I walked into their reception.

Thank you so much to the team and especially Beth who was so lovely and supportive during my six monthly review, the time went so quickly. I feel very well supported and I am looking forward to my next review in August. Thank you :)

I have now met three members of the Hormones team at LTC during my pathway, most recently Amanda and Mary. They have all been lovely, caring and professional. Everything is well explained and I feel well cared for. Communication by email and telephone also seems to have improved recently.

First class service from the LTC team. Have been very happy with all of my interactions with LTC since first contact in 2020 to hormone prescription in early 2022. Documentation is thorough and the staff that I have spoken to or corresponded with have been nothing but kind, compassionate, respectful, knowledgeable and helpful.

They generally don't reply to either email or phone enquiries. Most of the time I've called there has been no answer and none of my phone messages and only one of my email messages have received a response.

Built confidence with my daughter for the first time she has belief that life will be ok and she will be able to live her life, this is with the clinic help. It’s a shame that you have to wait 3-4 years to be helped on the NHS, luckily with the help of the LTC this journey for my daughter has began a whole lot earlier, this would of been even earlier if Covid hadn’t of had it right in amongst it all.

Dr inglefield has changed my life for the better, I'll never be able to thank him and his team enough for the upmost care! Esther and Tamara are absolutely amazing and help with reducing any anxiety

I left writing a review til towards the end of my top surgery journey, with the London Transgender Clinic, just so I could give a more final opinion.

I can tell you that from the very start to nearing the end of this surgery with them, that they have been absolutely fantastic and their level of care and support that they have given me has never wavered. Dr Ingliefield and his team are truly amazing and caring people, who aim to help trans and non-binary individuals a better relationship with their bodies!
For me, they have really changed my life for the better and have helped me to really love and treasure the body that I have!
Throughout the whole treatment, I have been given all the support and consideration I could have asked for, especially with the nurses being constantly available - this has been a massive thing for me as I do have problems with anxiety.
They have really made a surgery that is so big and life changing, as mangable and smooth as possible.

I have suggested LTC to other I know in the community based on my experience because its been so great!

I can't wait to start HRT with them in the coming months.
