I recently attended my in-person consultation with Mary (LTC's Senior Clinical Nurse Prescriber).
My experience was nothing less than wonderful. Mary was incredibly warm and welcoming, putting me at ease right away. I felt supported throughout our meeting, and I'm so happy to have this support as I move forward with my HRT journey.
Thank you Mary, and everyone at the LTC!
Thanks to The LTC I am now 2 years and 7 months on Testosterone and 1 year and 8 months post Top Surgery!
I couldn't have done this without them and I'm extremely grateful and thankful.
My only issue with their service has been in regards to organisation and communication at the beginning, between the different members of staff and myself, so things didn't run as smoothly as I had hoped for. However, I really hope that things have improved since because they are all very welcoming and friendly and I would, and do, recommend them highly. They are compassionate and caring and when I am there, I feel looked after and I know I'm in good hands.
If it wasn't for the LTC, I would not be living the life I deserve, as my true authentic self.
Thank you To Mary, Chris and the team! 🙏🤗
I've been with LTC for 2 years now. It's been a very poor experience overall. But it's a captured market for trans healthcare.
The lack of communication and coordination is extremely disappointing. No one answers the phone or email or responds to voice mails.
Hormones are extremely gate keepered and my existing regime ignored causing a menopausal experience. I've had to supplement my hormones online as LTC wouldn't ensure my levels were adjusted in a timely fashion. There's no endocrinologist to evaluate your blood level properly, it's all on a best guess basis - which I was doing a better job of on my own tbh. But without LTC there's little chance of getting your GP to support you without a shared care agreement, which is where you get your prescriptions/blood tests from.
The prices they charge are pretty extortionate. If there were alternative options I would certainly go elsewhere. I can't wait to switch over to Trans Plus in Dean Street.
On a positive note, I will say that the people at LTC are very supportive and friendly of course. But you're there paying a lot for a quality service not friendly chit chat.
TrustPilot contacted me to verify my experience which I have done. My poor review is hopefully going to encourage LTC to address some of the issues they face ITO of customer service.
For anyone considering LTC - they are VERY supportive of trans people, it's their business to be so. It's their current approach that needs to be significantly improved to handle the increase in demand. (I've updated to 2 stars)

Reply from The London Transgender Clinic
My experience so far has been amazing, so informative, always there if i need anything, always in communication, thankyou
I decided on The London Transgender Clinic when looking to start hormone replacement therapy and top surgery, as I couldn't wait on the ridiculously long waiting list of the NHS, as my gender dysphoria was unbearable.
Everyone at LTC are super friendly and supportive, they made me feel so good about myself! Natalie Chen, who I went to for my hormone replacement therapy, was amazing! She's super calm and collected, which soothed my anxieties greatly, she was also patient and brilliant at explaining information to me, as I am autistic and need a bit longer process certain information.
As for my top surgery, I can easily say this was the best vital change ever! I'm so thankful to Dr. Inglefield, he's like an artist, surgeon and superman all in one! I couldn't be more pleased with my results and I know people may think I'm being overdramatic, but this surgery has saved my life in the long run... I can finally starting living and the confidence flowing through me is insane, I feel like I can take on the world! There's no words I can use to express how grateful for I am, and if it wasn't for this cursed pandemic I would of hugged him, and I'm not usually one for human contact! 😂
Oh, and I can't forget Lisa Owens for MLD, she's so much fun, witty and so caring, I could literally of talked to her for hours and being autistic, means I'm normally quite socially awkward, but she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, it was like being in therapy for the mind and body all at once!
All in all, I so recommend, from a pick me up, revamp or a glow up, maybe you have a dream, a mission or your in need of a lifesaving change, this clinic is for you! I couldn't recommend enough, my life has finally started that's to these incredible people, thank you so much!
Had my appointment with Mary recently and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! One of the nicest, funniest and most caring people I have ever met which really puts you to ease during this experience which could otherwise be very nerve racking. Mary was also able to answer every single one of my many questions I had regarding transition. Apart from all the wonderfully kind, helpful and friendly staff the building itself is incredibly clean and modern which just adds to the fantastic experience there, with a coffee machine in reception, multiple hand cleaning stations and large bathroom all for use. I am extremely excited to continue my journey knowing I am in such good hands and could not recommend them enough!!!!!
I had my appointment with Mary Burke at the LTC the other day.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist and shown to the waiting room; the surgery is modern, clean and comfortable.
My appointment was dead on time at 14:00.
Mary is incredibly warm, funny and friendly, and instantly puts you at ease during what is an understandably nerve racking and vulnerable time.
The appointment itself started with an informal chat about my journey in, followed by some body measurements and forms before finally leaving with the much awaited prescription.
I cannot describe how much I appreciated the service during such a monumental day and the next step in my transition journey.
Mary truly cares.
I had top surgery with LTC in June 2020. On top of there being a global pandemic continuing, my anxieties around the surgery were high, especially around having an anaesthetic because of a trauma I witnessed years back.
I am massively grateful to all of the team who cared for me before, during and after surgery. Not only did they give me a life-affirming surgery with exactly the results I dreamt of, they did so with so much professionalism, calm, understanding and care that I felt at ease, reassured and 'seen' at all stages! I'm writing this review to say thank you and to let people in my position know that you're in good hands
I have been a patient of LTC since 2018, initially with Mary and the hormones team.
This year I have had two surgical interventions, the first in April - Rhinoplasty, Upper Lip Lift & Bilateral Breast Augmentation with Polytech Implants as a day case at the Harley Street Specialist Hospital (HSSH).
The second, a brow Lift, Upper BIepharopiasty (Eyes), Lower Blepharopiasty & Lower Face Lift.
I arrived at the Harley Street Specialist Hospital for 7am on 28th August 21, yes, a Saturday! My surgery took about 5 hours. I was kept in recovery at HSSH for another 5 hours.
I was then transferred to The Marylebone Hotel with Theatre Nurse Carrie. She was with me all night.
We giggled at gate crashing a wedding breakfast downstairs but thought perhaps The Mummy Returns visit was a little too extreme ... for me anyway.
Mr Inglefield arrived at the hotel to check me over around midday the next day (Sunday).
It was an experience that I cannot find fault with. So safe and so easy.
I want to say a big big thank you to all at LTC and especially to the incredibly talented Christopher Inglefield and the theatre team for absolutely brilliant care.
Well done LTC for ensuring that this was such a smooth seamless experience.
I have since had my first post op clinic visit to remove stitches and have MLD delivered by Lisa – I just about managed to stay awake.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I started my journey with LTC in December 2020 after having my Zoom Consultation for Top surgery. Dr Inglefield was so professional and kind and just made the whole process so easy. Once I had spoke to Dr Inglefield, I needed to speak to a psychiatrist to be diagnosed with Gender dysphoria and be cleared for surgery. I chose Dr Pasterski, who was AMAZING and made me really think about my gender journey. I had two informative sessions with Dr Pasterski where we spoke about my journey, gender in general and the impact of surgery. These sessions were so important and made me feel so safe.
My surgery was booked August 2021 so I had a face to face consultation with Dr Inglefield to follow up from our zoom call. This appointment consisted of looking at my chest, checking my chest and taking measurements. Dr Inglefield truly makes you feel comfortable and at ease. The nurses are amazing too and big part of your journey. I had most contact with Carrie, who has genuinely been the best nurse ever.
When my surgery came around I saw Carrie who spoke through my surgery and the post op care. Dr Inglefield then came in and marked up the reference lines and I was taken into surgery.
After my surgery, I was quite unwell due to catching a sickness bug but the nurses were ready on the emergency line to offer support and guidance on what to do next. When I went back a week later (to have my drains removed) still being visibly unwell, I was checked over by Carrie and Mary to double check that I was okay. Everyone was so kind and reassuring. During this time I had my first MLD session with Lisa and Lisa is brilliant, it is evident that Lisa loves what she does and that extents to the care she gives to her clients.
After two weeks, I was feeling better and I was able to have my second MLD session where Lisa spoke about the benefits of MLD and gave me lots of knowledge about the human body and healing. Once my MLD sessions was over, I was able to see my new chest. Carrie spoke through everything she was doing including taking off the bandages and spoke through what I was to expect. I was over the moon with the results at only 2 weeks post op. Carrie also taught me how to tape my incision and answered any questions I had and reassured me my nipples weren’t going to fall off!
I am now 20 days post op and I could not be happier with how my chest looks and with the care from all of the team at LTC. I would not have gone anywhere else for my top surgery.
A massive thank you to Dr Inglefield, Carrie and the rest of the team, you have saved my life.
Cannot recommend enough. Do not be shy and ask any question about any concerns you might have, they will answer and guide you through in the right direction. They are excellent at what they do
Had a zoom meeting with Natalie this morning 09.08.21, which was a lovely meeting. Natalie is so caring and very helpful and explained everything and my well-being is so much a priority with Natalie, I came away from this meeting so happy and now I am so much focused. Lovely caring people from LTC
Mary Burke is literally the only truly supportive medical professional that I have dealt with throughout my entire transition.
She has been extremely helpful both in terms of getting me on the HRT that I need as well as making recommendations for other procedures and processes that I can follow to make my transition go smoother.
If you're sick of your voice being neglected and overlooked within the context of your own personal lived experience and transition, book with Mary.
I just want to thank everyone at the clinic for what they have done to provide support so far on my transition journey. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful, and from the moment I came into the clinic yesterday, I felt at home; the greeting was friendly and Lucy is amazing, and incredibly knowledgeable. I really want to award at least 6 stars, 5 just does not seem enough. I can't repeat just how much you have helped me to transform my life already. Thank you so much for everything you do.
Having contacted the London Transgender Clinic at the beginning of June for M-F Hormone Replacement Therapy, I have to say that my experience with them has been exceptional. Their response to my initial enquiry was amazingly quick, very informative and very clear in how they would be supporting me on my transition journey (not having to wait days for a response was very reassuring). All pre-requisite measures (and risks) for HRT were clearly explained as was the need for Gender Dysphoria confirmation from an independent Gender Specialist (highly rated practitioners were suggested including drpopleyuk whom I had already identified before contacting the LTC and have since had my Dysphoria confirmed).
My initial online HRT review with Lucy Mahon was extremely informative, with her from minute one, respecting my situation and demonstrating empathy and support.
I attended the Wimpole Street practice July 13th and the minute I walked through the door was made to feel at ease by the pleasant and welcoming reception team. The premises are spotlessly clean and ooze professionalism. I was soon greeted by Lucy who quickly put me at ease before talking me through MY HRT process, discussing all aspects / associated risks and checking my understanding before walking me through the consent forms that I then had to sign.
Leaving the practice with my HRT prescription was amazing. I don't have the words to express how I feel but send my sincerest thanks to the LTC for everything they are doing to support me in my transition. Letters to my GP for Shared Care are now underway ahead of my next review with Lucy in 3 months time.
I cannot recommend enough the London Transgender Clinic for anybody suffering with Gender Dysphoria. Having a supporting practice in my camp is massive and I would encourage anybody else stuck in lengthy waiting lists with the NHS to contact them to see what they can do. Whilst I am lucky to be in a position to self fund my transition until the NHS catch up, having looked at the cost for the LTC services for the next 2 years of support feel that this very reasonable.
Thank you LTC for your support and for not simply placing my enquiry for your support on hold.

Nurse Lucy is great, she kept in contact with me giving me updates via email or phonecall. I started HRT after only a few months, rather than waiting many years on the NHS. They gave me detailed instructions on how to apply oestrogen gel and when to expect any changes. I am excited for my journey, thankyou for helping me!
Dear LTC
Well, this is the culmination of 2 years under your care.
Mary was wonderfully empathetic and sorted my hrt.
2 years later with an orchidectomy performed by Mr Inglefield in Novemer 2020 with some wonderful post op care.
I look back with extreme gratitude to the hormone, surgical and admi teams at the ltc.
You've been so good to me and your care has been second to none.
I will always prefer you for any treatment relating to my still ongoing transition in future.

My experience at The London Transgender clinic was even better than I expected. All of the staff are very professional and friendly. Especially I’m so grateful to my nurse Natalie. She spent her extra time just to help me to understand everything. Additionally, she is very professional and very welcoming. Overall my experience was magnificent and I can recommend this clinic to anyone who seeks professional help.
Lucy was incredible. She was understanding , caring and funny. She listened and gave advice and was truly a ray of sunshine. Everything she said was easy to understand and if not she explained it simply. I’m truly happy that I chose to go with the LTC for my care and recommend it to anyone and everyone

From the very start, I have felt comfortable and respected by the staff at LTC. I have been treated like any other man, addressed correctly, the clinic is super clean and covid compliant. Communication has been excellent by email and over the phone. Both consultations I had with Mr Inglefield for top surgery were excellent. The examination part was handled discreetly and respectfully, I felt comfortable. On the day of surgery, the whole team were great, made me feel reassured and happy to go through surgery. All post op appointments have been great, I've been seen promptly and every member of the team has been professional. I am very very happy with my surgery results so far! Thank you LTC!
