Having only just transitioned I still don't have a lot of confidence around others. That wasn't a problem at the The London Transgedner Clinic, with all of the staff treating just like any other girl. That made it an enjoyable experience.
I am a very concerned parent of a teenager. Many teenagers are coming here for two reasons: the NHS has long waiting lists (but also a more thorough diagnosis before life-changing treatments), and because this clinic is entirely ‘affirmative’. Parents don’t challenge or question anything because your children will reject you as a transphobe. Our own trans daughter is going this process and it can and will happen very quickly (good if you are trans activist, bad if you care about careful and thoughtful psychiatric diagnosis).

my name is gemma i just come out as transgender and got told about this private clinic in london. the whole place is super clean. and the staff are so helpful in every way and the nurse who i see is call Lucy mahon she put my mind to rest. she is so caring and understand and she will take care of you she is very bubble person and alway have a smile. thanks you to all staff at the clinic who help me.
My experience with the LTC has been nothing short of excellent, from my very first worried email to them all the way through diagnosis and starting treatment. At every stage the clinic has been helpful, informative, friendly, open and most of all, understanding.
I would not be where I am now at this stage if it were not for the hard work, patience and care shown by the LTC and Natalie.
Even with the COVID restrictions the clinic has been there for me every step of the way as I start my journey.
Thank you LTC!
Leah
I’m beyond grateful for LTC’s support. I booked an assessment with Dr Pasterski in December and was seen in March. Because of my money concerns she went a little over our time rather than booking another follow up appointment and she was so lovely to talk with. I received my referral in April and these times are actually longer than usual because of covid. I’ve been on the NHS waiting list since 2018 so to be seen after a few months is amazing. I had an appointment booked in May but there was an emergency that meant it had to be rescheduled for June. At my appointment just yesterday i got really upset because there were complications with my blood results and i figured i’d leave the appointment without hormones, i couldn’t stop crying.
Lucy Mahon went above and beyond, she called my GP and two hospitals to find out my results and was on the phone for ages trying to get through to someone. She finally got through to the lab where my bloods were and found the result she was looking for. It’s now my second day on T! I’m beyond overjoyed and her dedication amazed me, she didn’t have to do all of that but i really appreciate that she did and if we weren’t in a pandemic i would’ve hugged her there and then. It’s taken me 6 months to get hormones through the london transgender clinic (during covid where their waiting times are longer) and almost 3 years on the NHS. I’m beyond thankful
Without doubt the best choice of my life to start here at the London Transgender Clinic. After arranging the paperwork over email and the phone, and going into the clinic in person the following week, I had a great experience. Administratively they are excellent, very prompt, knowledgeable, and so friendly. After I got to start HRT, I saw Natalie who was incredible. I felt very cared for as a patient and she was very thorough with how everything worked and the risks involved and the benefits that can come from HRT. Cannot recommend the entire team enough!
Every person I spoke with, via phone or e-mail, was helpful and kind, and understanding when I needed to delay an appointment. My hormone specialist Natalie helped to explain every part of my process, and answer any question. Natalie also made the process really personable and assured me that our relationship ought to be friendly and honest.
Thank you to all involved!
Had my face-to-face consultation with Natalie. Very friendly and accommodating, and made me feel at ease, even with problems that arose. The staff I spoke to on the phones were also very helpful. Clinic itself had a welcoming feeling about it, looking forward to going back to the clinic for my 6 month follow up!
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for efficient, trustworthy service.
Standard practice in this field seems to be to delay and dehumanise.
This is not the case at the LTC far from it.
I've been dealing with Natalie for my consultations but from whoever answered the phone or whoever was sat at reception you're welcomed in quickly, professionally and most of all you feel supported.
Look no further for the best experience in transgender care. You'll leave knowing that every box was ticked with the reassurance that should you have forgotten something you need only call them back.
I'd recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
Fully reasonably priced aswell. A flawless service.
Feeling amazing, I had my face to face consultation with Natalie today and am over the moon was so laid back and felt so comfortable can’t wait to go back in 6 months to see how am getting on with t gel :)
I've been with Natalie for my HRT for just over 6 months now, and she has been absolutely fantastic. So polite, never made me feel uncomfortable ONCE during any of my appointments!
The entire clinic is lovely and everyone I have ever spoken to on the phone - or in person - has been so kind and considerate.
The absolutely know what good bedside manner is and I have full trust in them for my treatment. I had a few issues getting started on HRT and not once did I feel invalidated because of this.
I had top surgery with Mr Ingleflield and his team and the whole experience was outstanding.
I felt reassured the whole time from enquiry to one year follow up appointment.
They really go the extra mile to make you feel less nervous and more comfortable.
I am coming up to my 5th year as a patient of the clinic and I could not be happier or in safer hands. The service I continue to receive is first class, top drawer, gold star and so on. Every member of staff that I have had the pleasure to speak with or better still to see in person have been wonderfully supportive in every respect. I owe them much more than words can say. Thank you, Megan xx
I met Lucy for my hormone consultation today. She was friendly and made the whole experience easier and more comfortable!
I am a trans man and I had surgery (bilateral mastectomy with nipple graphs) just over 3 weeks ago and the team at the london transgender clinic are amazing and so caring and understanding.
I couldn’t be happier with my results. Mr Inglefield is amazing at what he does and the team make sure you are at ease from the moment you have the consultation all the way through til after your surgery. If i could give more than 5 stars i would. Everyone is so amazing. Thank you!!!
I have recently had top surgery with Dr Inglefield and have seen Thamara for my follow-up appointments. The surgery could not have gone better and both Dr Inglefield and Thamara have been extremely supportive, helpful and professional throughout the process. Thamara has made me feel comfortable and at ease at every appointment and has shared a lot of knowledge about the healing process and after-care.
I also saw Lisa for my follow-up MLD appointments. I have found the MLD treatment to be very beneficial in reducing swelling and Lisa has also been a great source of support and knowledge. I would recommend the London Trans Clinic to anybody and will be forever grateful for their support.
Had a appointment with Lucy Mahon yesterday and I think it went really well. Lucy was very friendly and understanding and I couldn’t be any happier with the outcome
Lucy mad me feel very comfortable and was very professional. She knew exactly what she was doing and made the process easier emotionally by that.
I went to the London Transgender Clinic because I wanted facial feminization surgery. My initial consultation was a video consultation with the surgeon,Mr Inglefield. We discussed what the surgery involved and the results I wanted to achieve from it. Although I was anxious and not very familiar with video meetings, Mr Inglefield was very kind and friendly and explained everything clearly to me and made me feel comfortable.
Within three days of the consultation I was given some quotes and then had up to three months to decide if I wanted to proceed with the surgery. All through this process the communication I received from the clinic was explained very clearly and always had contact numbers incase I had any queries.
I decided to go ahead with my surgery so I paid my deposit and then it was a case of waiting for a surgery date. In my case it would have been about five months waiting if Coronavirus hadn't delayed things.
As my surgery got nearer I received phonecalls, texts and emails from nurses Laura and Thamara who explained all the things i needed to do.. blood tests , x-rays, etc. Again the communication was really good. Once I had my surgery date a second consultation was arranged with surgeon, Mr Inglefield which was one month prior to the surgery. (This changed for me due to coronavirus restrictions at the time.) This was a face to face meeting at the London Transgender Clinic where we discussed what was going to happen on the day of my surgery and if I had any questions or worries. Alongside Mr Inglefield at my meeting were nurses Laura and Thamara, both of whom I had had communication with leading up to my consult. They were very thorough and explained everything so that I understood clearly what would happen on my surgery day and during my post op recovery. They were both very kind and helpful and put my mind at ease.
My surgery went very well. It was carried out at the Harley Street Specialist Hospital in London. I spoke to the Aeneastathist, and the nurses before surgery and I was very comfortable and happy to know that I had such a qualified, professional and caring group of people looking after me.
Twenty four hours after I arrived for surgery I was leaving. My care during recovery was fantastic. I couldnt have asked for more. A nurse was on hand at the press of a buzzer if I needed anything. Before I left, my post op instructions were given to me and Mr Inglefield checked in on me to see that i was ok and if i had any questions. By the way he supported me after surgery I could tell he was very engaged with his patients and took a great interest and concern in their care.
During the twelve weeks that followed my surgery I had four post op appointments.
The first was with nurses Laura and Thamara, to remove my stitches and make sure everything was ok and that I was recovering well. They treated me with care and were very helpful.
My second appointment was for Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This was a gentle face massage to help my recovery and the nurse that carried it out was very kind, friendly and informative. I was given a light therapy mask to aid with my recovery at home. This is a mask that you wear for ten minutes each day. It has a timer and is rechargeable. It nourishes and helps recovery of the skin after surgery and leaves the skin looking and feeling better. I used this for eleven weeks and can definitely see the results.
My third appointment was again with the nurses, Laura and Thamara. It was to remove my nose splint, check my stitches, answer questions and check everything was ok.
My final appointment was again with Mr Inglefield and nurse Laura where they assessed my twelve weeks of recovery and asked how I was and if I had any questions. It was really nice to be able to show them the results of all our efforts. Again they were very kind, caring, supportive and engaged with their patient.
Overall I cant speak more highly of the whole team at London Transgender Clinic. Absolutely everyone treated me fantastically from the communication to the caring and support all the way through the process I would absolutely recommend the London Transgender Clinic and I cant thank them all enough.
Amazing! Been with the LTC since August 2019 and have had 0 issues, had more issues with my own GP! Which because of Mary and her team have been sorted.
Cannot fault what these guys do, honestly lifesavers.
Been on hormones for nearly two years and in the process of seeking surgery!
