I ordered some box steel lengths and connectors. Very helpful staff, who did a price-match without quibble . They cut lengths exactly as I requested. Prompt delivery. Overall a good experience.

I was able to build a sturdy wheeled rack for my kiln shelves for less than half the price it would have cost me retail! It's like a Meccano store for adults, with good customer service - I had to change my order and this was accommodated quickly. Will definitely use them again.

Never had a problem with this company in the past, what ive found now is there prices are sky high compared to other companies like metals4u

Company hides behind T&Cs when they send damaged goods.
Avoid Bad Internet companies like this one!

I found the website easy to use and the goods I ordered were exactly as expected, arriving on the specified date. The metal pole and fitments are sturdy and look like they will last a long time. I'm very pleased.

This is a great company I just wish I knew about them sooner! Imagine K’nex but 100x bigger and made from steal. That is pretty much what this company is. The only annoyance is they initially messed my order up but it was rectified quickly.

Bought a number of tube clamps recently. All parts delivered fast and in top-working order. Allen key added to each delivery! When some clamps didn't suit the purpose (I'm not in the trade) I returned them and got refunded without any problems. Very satisfied!

Great service from Ash & June at the Metal Store. I placed an order, then added to it a couple of days later (before shipment). Metal Store graciously amended the order to include the addition. On receiving the goods I found that the added item was missing. I informed Metal Store who kindly shipped the item out a few days later free of delivery cost.
A great service! I look forward to ordering from them again in future.

I feel I should add to my initial review because of below.
After sending a email to Leigh (Director) complaining about poor service, Leigh sorted it out and the missing parts arrived next day.
Pity it got to this as I feel it’s a good company let down by its despatch department and sub contract powder coated.
Cost my company several hundred pounds because someone didn’t check the order before sending.

Good sales office let down by a rubbish despatch department.
Ordered safety rail components and paid extra for powder coating yellow. When we arrived on site out of hours to fit the rail etc for our customer we found that the safety gate only had pipe not any other fittings.
When we spoke to them they basically said it’s our fault for not checking the delivery and referred to their terms!
So they expect you to go to site before hand and open the parcels to check their staff had been efficiency in doing what they get paid for.
Surely a despatch department should check against a list that everything is being shipped, I understand if a parcel had been damaged in shipment it should be checked but why should a customer be responsible for their staff who can’t check a order against what they send! ( if they worked for me they would get a written warning at least if not they will continue to let people down).
This company puts out their powder coating to a third party (very expensive too) so if like us you have parts missing you have to wait until the replacements come back from their sub contract coaters this could be a couple of weeks.
We are still waiting for completion of our order, paid for several weeks ago.
We now have to go back to site to finish the job which had resulted in extra travelling cost, labour cost and of course our customer is not happy.
Due to this we don’t think we will use them again and in all honest cannot recommend a company that doesn't acknowledge when it’s at fault.

I was very impressed with themetalstore, they the items I wanted, for a great price. Delivery was good too, delivered on the specified day as requested when ordering.

Good communication too, email confirmation of order and regular updated on order status and delivery progress.

Lastly they even cut the items to my required lengths for free!

Best price I have found on the internet but.. massive let down on the delivery.

They need to use alternative delivery company. 3 delivery times given, wasted the the time waiting and nothing show up.

The sales team have been helpful to answer my question before I place the order, however when delivery the first time it took them half a day to get back to me and tell me that it will be delivered today. Not everyone sitting at home waiting for the delivery you know! Didnt turn up the second time and have to email them the third day twice to get a reply. Promised again that it will be deliver and nothing.

No problems. Fast efficient service, good prices too.

Found this company online, and just needed a small quantity of mild steel section for a welding repair. (about 8kg). Clear, informative website with concise pricing. Stated that delivery would be by courier within 3 working days (to north of Scotland). Received confirmation email on dispatch, with link to accurate tracking information. Goods arrived on time and as described. No hassle, would definitely use this company again.
