I got one of these cards as a gift card. Reading the back of the card it said that the funds do not expire, so I didn't think about rushing to use it. What they didn't tell you, and what a lot of peop... See more

Total scam and out right theft
Total scam and out right theft
All but $10 used in fees when I went to use it without any knowledge of this
Not ethical or morally conscious company at all!
Stay away
Never buy as The Perfect Gift as in reality no gift at all except for the company
Customer service reps read from a script and then strategy is to ignore you on hold until you hang up
Employees should be so proud to tell their families how they take money from people
Prepaid Visas pretending to be…
Prepaid Visas pretending to be giftcards such as Visa's The Perfect Gift is a scam imo.
Just give them a nice crisp bill instead of a headache.
Do not use
Do not use. Charge you a $3.00 monthly service charge even with a expiry date. Total scam.
Stay away from this company giftcards
I believe this is Scam company. This company has to improve services or close the operations. There should not be expiry dates and monthly service fees. One time service fees is reasonable.I request people to stay away from using gift cards from this company.
the most UNPERFECT gift card
these companies should not be allowed to do business!!
Peoples Trust in Vancouver!!!
Blackhawk network - unopened cards get compromised and these guys wash their hands.
Blackhawk owns domain name 'theperfectgiftcard.ca' for Peoples Trust. The address listed is 3300 Bloor St West, Toronto ON.
But no support in canada....us based help desk.
AND Blackhawk says if $$$ were stolen more that 60 days ago, it is the purchaser of cards respondsibility to contact merchant the fraudently accepted the stollen $$$ from theperfectgift card / Blackhawk.
I can think of a few better names for theperfectgiftcard.
Please be aware of these gift cards - they are subject to being hacked and there is little or no support from blackhawk to theperfectgiftcard.
unbelievable that they are allowed to do business in canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CROOKS
A bunch of corrupt people that should be behind bars. Purchased a $75 card and went to look at the balance and it was down to $48, NEVER ONCE USED, FRESH OUT OF THE PACKAGE. Just checked balance and its down to $42 now. Oh yeah did I tell you I tried paying some money on my phone bill and the EXPIRATION DATES INCORRECT. Of course you can't reach them either. STEER CLEAR OF THEM.
I would give a zero of possible
I would give a zero of possible. I had a balance of $30.00 left on my card. I go to use it and its declined. I check my balance $1.48. Apparently someone somehow used my card on line in the States and I am in Canada. There was NO WAY anyone but me could access the card. And now I have to wait 30, 60, or 90 days to get my money back, if I am getting it back at all. What a Fing joke. Your cards and company and service reps are garbage. You should not be in business anymore.

Gifted a Visa prepaid gift card for 500.00..I live in Canada..Someone used the card in Caloifornia foi a 150,00 us charge,,Cannot recover. The monthly service charge is redictiously high if you don't use the card. Horrible customer service.
I received 100$ the gift card and I…
I received 100$ the gift card and I didn't use it for a while and when I check the balance 64$ gone as a monthly service fee. I called to customer service and explained to them what happened, they ask me the card number and expiration date and promise will follow up and return my balance back to my card, but they took the rest of the balance on card with their pay pal purchase of 46$, now my balance is 0.00$, all the money gone. they are really scam!!!!!!
don't buy their card anymore!!!
The perfect way to lose your money…
The perfect way to watch your money evaporate. The $3 a month service fee is criminal. Leave it in drawer for a while and your money has been taken.
Complete fraud
Complete fraud. Bought CAD $1200 worth of cards for guests visiting from overseas. None of the cards ever worked except for a single convenience store in Montreal. The website is completely broken (none of the links work). The customer service numbers can only be reached from a +1 country code number, and even then, the customer service agents (after a long wait on hold) insist nothing is wrong with the card. Actual genuine fraud. Don’t waste your money!
Complete scam
Complete scam. Got 2 cards as gift, they are nearly impossible to use as they only use a magnetic strip and no one accepts them. I tried registering them to use them online but the website does not work. I had to call to check my balance and get registered, but the very nice lady who is alone manning the help center likely made mistakes in my French name while registering my cards because the customer service is only in English, so they are also unusable online. Only way to contact them is through this very nice lady or by mail.
Visa gift card
My daughter got a visa gift card, she did not use it for a couple of weeks. when attempted to use, found out that there was no money available on the $25 is card. We called the customer service and escalated the issue to eventually realize that the whole thing is a scam and every month not used $3.00 is deducted !!! DAY TIME ROBBERY!!! Totally DISSATISFIED.
They'll take all the money
I received a $100 gift card. By the time I got around to using it much of the money had been removed for their monthly fees. Don't buy this company's cards. You'll think you're giving a friend a gift but you're actually giving the money to this scam company.
Also, my antivirus flags their website as a phishing scam. So there's that.
There is no way for you to know if you…
There is no way for you to know if you are purchasing an EXPIRED card, when you buy this prepaid card. It is NOT the "Perfect Gift". I am trying to connect with customer service using the website and number on the back of the card, and I have been unsuccessful in reaching a human who can help me with this issue. I would give ZERO stars, or even NEGATIVE stars, if I could. This is a SCAM. Stay away!
Fine print fee scam
I was given this card as a gift. $100
I made a SINGLE 11 dollar transaction and put the card away.
Now the rest of the card has been eaten away by "fees"
Basically they weasel their theivery into their fine print.
It's like cash but does less and they charge you a gullibility fee for buying their product.
NEVER BUY, AND NEVER ACCEPT AS PAYMENT.
DO NOT BUY!!
DO NOT BUY!!! total scam. All they do is eat up your balance with service fees. When you purchase a card for someone it is automatically activated at the retailer. Then the service fees start. I came across a $50 gift card that I had forgotten about so I went online to see what was on it. Oh there was something on it alright. Services fees. The entire gift card was gone due to service fees. Not a penny was used at a retailer, just $50!in service fees. Seems like fraud to me. It’s comical that on the card it says your balance never expires. It doesn’t need to expire because they just take your money.
It was a prepaid card so it was…
It was a prepaid card so it was alright, nothing special just a prepaid card
Scumbag Maintenance Fees!
As others have mentioned if you don’t use it for a year they will charge you a monthly maintenance fee and steal your balance. All of this is in the fine print of course! Never using them again!
SCAM
SCAM! I recieved a gift card of $100, but it doesn't work. I call them and they said it doesn't belong to us
