Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful. Just one month into my plan and I had to cancel as we just cannot afford it, husband lost job and having to move home and they are charging us £120 to leave the plan. No consideration person on phone couldn’t care less no empathy at all.

Absolute chancers.
Pet Health Club emailed me to say that one of my dogs’ plans was due to automatically renew for another 12 months on 1 October, at an increased price of £33.99 per month.
I replied the very same day saying that I did not want either of my dogs’ plans to renew.
Their response was to tell me that if I cancelled early there would be a £60 cancellation fee per plan.
Except I wasn’t asking to cancel early. I was responding directly to their renewal notice and giving them notice that I did not want to enter into another 12-month contract.
Their own email specifically says that if you do not want your subscription to renew, you should contact them. That is exactly what I did.
I have now had to spell out in writing that I want both plans to finish at the end of their current terms and not renew.
This sort of thing is exactly why people get fed up with subscription businesses. Making it easy to roll customers automatically into another year, then immediately mentioning £60 cancellation fees when somebody tries to stop the renewal, feels unnecessarily obstructive.
Absolute chancers. I’ll be taking my dogs’ preventative healthcare elsewhere.

You’re right that if you contact us following your renewal reminder to let us know you don’t want your plans to renew, they should end at the end of their current 12-month terms. The £60 early cancellation fee applies when a plan is ended during its contract year, rather than when you’re simply asking to stop an upcoming renewal.
