Great website and prompt delivery

First tasted this marmalade from Kew Gardens, they stopped selling it, found shop in borough market London, went recently, shop has gone but still showing on website, very disappointed, so had to buy online, thankfully this was very successful, best tasting marmalade ever

We have loved this marmalade for years and were so sad that the company threatened to cease trading after Victoria left. But thank goodness for Alex!!! Thank you and well done. Still a delicious product, still an excellent and personal service, still excellent communication and delivery updates and a safely packaged parcel. Thanks Alex!!!!!

The Proper Marmalade Company makes the nicest marmalade I've ever tasted, it's that simple. As for the online buying experience, the delivery costs are fairly high because glass is heavy, but I buy several jars at once to keep the cost per jar down. And of course, it's marmalade, so it keeps really well until you're ready to start on a jar.

While visiting Ilfracombe in July 2024, I came across this delightful marmalade shop. As a big fan of the spread, I was excited to explore different flavors beyond the usual breakfast variety. It was fascinating to learn about the versatility of marmalade, from classic toast toppings to unexpected pairings with ice cream and cheese. I particularly enjoyed the Mojito and lemon & lime flavors which from now on well be a staple in my cupboard!

Love the marmalade great taste as always. Just a pity that the jars aren't bigger for the price having said that it won't put me of ordering again in the future.

We had found out about the Proper Marmalade company before our holiday to Illfracombe and we made sure to pop in.
We were not disappointed!
Alex was so friendly and chatty and offered us samples to try all the flavours. The lemon and horseradish is absolutely incredible. We brought a few jars of different types and whilst paying she told us about selling a local bakers sourdough bread (on a Thursdays I think it was)
So we just had to go back and of course after so more tasters, we brought a few more jars from the selection! The bread was delicious too!
Couldn’t rate these marmalades any higher and we will be ordering online in the future when we have run out!

Best marmalade I have ever had.

I ran out of home-made marmalade so had to buy extra supplies. Shop-bought marmalade is usually very disappointing but the Proper Marmalade Company Seville Orange Marmalade is delicious - the set is perhaps a little too jelly-like for me but the taste is as close to home-made marmalade as is possible!

The tastiest marmalade! Was given this as a gift, it really is delicious…..I would go to Devon just to buy!
