Super seller; above and beyond...
The seller went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that what I purchased was what I needed as opposed to what I had ordered - ordered as a “suck it and see” purchase. I ended up with exactly the right thing. Not used yet but as exactly the right helical antenna I know it will work.

Motorola T42 twin set walkie talkie radios
The Motorola radios were delivered quickly and well packaged from Radio Shop. Arriving at my house in perfect undamaged condition in a timely manner.
These Motorola walkie talkies are fantastic for kids and adults alike wanting to stay in contact, garden to house or further afield.
Very easy to use and pair, eight channels, volume control and control lock facility so as to lock a channel (very handy with kids).
They are also well made and so far have operated exceptionally well both in the confines of the house and boundaries, and on hide and seek walks with our son.
The 3 x AAA batteries (not supplied) seem to give the radios a good usage time too even over reasonable distances.
The range of these units I believe is up to four kilometres. As of yet I have not tested these at anywhere near this distance, so I couldn’t say hand on heart that they work at this range. If the manufacturer Motorola is saying it, which they are, then I really have no reason to doubt it though.
To date these Motorola units are in my opinion good value for money and extremely functional within the domestic market.
However, if you are needing a professional set of walkie talkies, then I would upgrade to a different Motorola radio package with longer range, more radio bands and a rechargeable docking system etc etc.
