Died just as the 2 year warranty expired

I bought a Theragun Elite for my wife for Christmas in 2021. It was a reasonably good product although not convinced it was good value, but in December 2023 it just stopped charging. We were slow to get on to it, but Therabody only provide a 2 year warranty and we missed it (or telling them about it) by 3 weeks. The best they would offer was a 40% discount off a new one, but it can't be used until their sale is over. All very annoying given it originally cost me over £350 and only lasted 2 years.

AVOID!!!

AVOID!!!

They are an absolute joke. I have the prime, mini 2.0, recovery air, foam roller, Thera cup, wave, and power dots. . Love them all, but the customer service is absolutely horrific. Ordered the calf recovery compression garment x 2 for a Christmas present for my sister. Only one delivered and I was basically told that because the box hadn’t been damaged by the courier that it was in the box and I’m lying. No belief whatsoever that they could have made a mistake. As I was away until Christmas morning I didn’t realise that both weren’t in the box and it messed up my gift giving and was really upsetting.

Won’t order from them again. Their loss as I have the money back from my bank.

First direct order - completely the wrong device shipped

I ordered a Therm Cube directly from Therabody as I have had a Theragun for some time and it’s excellent but that was from John Lewis.

That was the first mistake - ordering from Theragun, who shipped a calf Recovery device instead of the Recovery Cube.

There’s no phone no. Only an email address and no one responds on X.

I doubt I’ll get an answer this side of Christmas so this present won’t be given on time!

Avoid ordering directly from them. They just can’t get the basics right!

F minus for customer service

I can’t comment on the Therabody product I ordered because I never received it. But I can share my experience with the company’s abysmal customer service.

I initially placed my order over a week ago and didn’t receive a shipping update. After two days I checked in with customer support, and was promised an update within 48 hours. After that time passed I contacted the company again and was promised an update within yet another 48 hours. Today I was about to check in a third time, only to receive an email telling me the company couldn’t fulfill their promise, and I was issued a refund.

I understand that some products are very popular, and that not every consumer can be satisfied. But Therabody strung me along for over a week, and then abruptly left me without a Christmas gift for my wife right before the holiday.

Therabody didn’t even have the decency to say “We’ll send a note when it’s back in stock” or “We’ll add you to a waitlist.” No, it was “read our email blasts every day until we announce something.”

This truly shabby consumer experience will make me think long and hard about ever purchasing another Therabody project.

Can't fulfill orders and no communications

Placed an order - had an order number and was charged. Never received the email confirmation though. Couldn't contact a rep despite it being during their chat hours so I submitted a ticket. They email back stating that they overcommitted and despite my having placed an order that it would be canceled. They wouldn't have reached out to let me know had I not inquired about my email confirmation that never came. What a waste of time ordering with them. They shouldn't be letting orders go through that they're unable to fulfill, and when such an error happens they should be immediately reaching out to the affected customers and give them options. Awful 1st experience - I had ordered the Theraface mask. We were looking to order other products too, but decided to go with their competitor Hyperice instead for the compression boots and massage gun. I advise others do the same and look at suitable competitors products.

Amazing customer support

I placed a big order on several products from their website - the day after receiving my items several of them went on sale. I contacted customer support about it and got the difference refunded - amazing service!

The machine broke just out of warranty…

The machine broke just out of warranty - the button moved and you could no longer switch it on or off. I was happy to pay for a repair but the company said that it was not possible to repair the theragun. Very disappointing and an incredible waste of resources

Do not trust these guys

Do not trust these guys. I paid over £300 for a massage gun which was not delivered to the correct address. I went to this address and they had returned it to DPD (the courier). They are refusing to give any refund or ship a replacement product. So I have no product and have paid over £300. Consumer Affairs is next....

Defective products, horribly slow service

Bought a Wave Duo through my employer's HSA shop. When I received it, it wouldn't charge or turn on. I reached out to Therabody for a warranty/replacement claim. I had to provide info twice: once in the "chat" help and once when a real person actually engaged. Then I had to ship them the defective device, wait for them to examine it, and FINALLY they sent me a new one (about 3.5 weeks later). The replacement device: SAME PROBLEM. Don't waste your money. This company's products have a history of not working or failing after only working for a short period of time. Customer service is polite, but slow and ineffective.

Beyond Disappointed

I was so excited about this purchase of $400 only to find that it wouldn't hold a charge as soon as unplugged and wouldn't work while plugged in.
SUCH a sour taste in my mouth. I sent it back and didn't get any follow-up, they didn't seem to care that they lost me as a customer whatsoever.

Do not buy from Therabody

Dont waste your money. £375 down the drain.
The therabody elite massage gun was great whilst it worked.
6 months after the 2 year warranty expired the battery died and wouldn’t charge.
Therabody customer service couldn’t care less.
Won’t buy from them or John Lewis again.

e-waste

Like many others the battery failed soon after the warranty period. There are no options for out of warranty repair. Another example of a company that has no interest in reducing waste or making considerations for the environment. Poor quality products and an even worse aftercare policy. Wouldn’t buy again.

I was expecting great things because my…

I was expecting great things from the Theragun Elite Series 4 because my physio uses the pro version so thought I’ll get one for me. I bought it from a reputable retailer with a 5 star trustpilot score. When it arrived it would not turn on so put it on charge and the display lit up showing 0% so thought no problem needs charging. After 7 hours it only reached about 45% and I knew something was wrong. So unplugged it and tried to turn it on and nothing. So put it back on charge and it was back to 0% so knew I had a duff one. Contacted the retailer and therabody via email only the retailer got back to me therabody did not reply. The retailer sent me another out via special delivery which arrived today so put it on charge was reading 0% again after 4 hours it was showing 48% so turned it on and nothing once again. I expect the odd issue with things like this but two to have the exact same fault is just ridiculous. Therabody have not got back to me and I’ve tried there live chat 5 times at different times during the day it says click here and send an email which I did twice and no reply worst service I have ever had in 20 years of purchasing anything. Complete ignorance from the manufacturer avoid find a brand who can be contacted the retailer have been amazing and will
Use again but not therabody.

False advertising

False advertising: They put false Promo deals on the product.Since when you click to buy the Full price is shown.

Discussed this issue in the Chat and the company told me it was a Old Promo. But no Promo expired date on the website and the Promo has been there for a while.
The company did not want to offer me the discount that was announced on the website.
Disrespectful Fake Marketing and 0 consumer help.

Definitely telling my whole fitness medical world to not encourage this company.

I've purchased the Theragun Elite

I've purchased the Theragun Elite. The battery died on me pretty quickly and after some bac and forth Therabody replaced it. Two years later, the battery completely died again and the Theragun is unusable and Therabody will not do anything about it - quotes "out of warranty".

While the Theragun was working, it worked well. It was a little large and heavy and I ended up mostly using the same attachment so I didn't make much use of all the available attachments. It is unacceptable to me, however, for the product to work only for 2 years (and that with one replacement in between) for the price point they sell at.

I have moved on to Hyperice now. The price point is lower and the product seems to be lighter. We'll see how it goes but I do not intend to buy any more products from Theragun - I don't trust they won't die on me as soon as the 1 year warranty is over.

Spent over £450 on Theragun Elite. Product itself is ok but the battery will die. Ours died (wouldn't charge), warranty is only 24 months (2 years), so 2 years and 1 day... put in bin. Overpriced and poor warranty.

Poor quality customer service

I would like to share my experience with buying from this company. I made an order and waited for confirmation of shipment, about a week passed and I still did not receive a tracking number, after which I had to write to them and how surprised I was by their answer, my order was processed and delivered, but in reality it is not. I checked the tracking number that they sent in response to my request and indeed it said that the order was delivered, this is absurd, just think you place an order and wait for confirmation of shipment and do not receive it and do not know anything about your order, if I I wouldn’t write to them and I didn’t know that they sent something, think 10 times whether you should take part in this lottery or is it better to buy from a trusted store that is responsible for its actions and takes care of its customers. This is a 100% 1 well deserved one star for customer service but I have to admit that their theragun pro is really good, I got it with Best Buy and will never order from their site again, let them sell their products to big players at a price below retail, they unable to control their business, a separate hello to the doctor. I will dispute the transaction through the bank!!!
