That is where The Solar Electrician idea was born. We work with multiple CEC approved solar retailers which I have personally vetted and known for a very long time. I source for you the best deal that best suits your unique needs. A lot of the big companies install one size fits all solar systems where in fact that couldn’t be further from the truth. I walk my clients through the entire process and give them a personalised service from start to end. Half of all my work comes from referrals which is a clear indication of the level of customer service and support I provide my clients.

A very positive experience overall
A very positive experience overall. The only negative was that the salesman told us when we signed up that the installers would be able to “work around” the existing internet tripod and old solar hot water panel on our roof. But when the installers came they immediately told us we would have to remove them before they could begin work. This meant we had to wait another three week until they were next available. While the installers did a great job, it would have been much more efficient if the salesman had told us from the outset that we needed to have these jobs done before installation could proceed. However, the support provided by Solar Electricians to apply for our government rebates was excellent and it hasn’t taken very long at all since the installation to to have our system inspected and connected to the grid with our electricity retailer.

We do apologise for Arne's oversite. Short of getting on every persons roof we come out and see with a tape measure, which would create an OH&S problem we sometimes do make mistakes.

I was not informed that the…
I was not informed that the installation would be passed on to another party and that party ( HP Energy) was not named as part of the process. Furthermore, I was under the impression reconfiguring my meter was part of the deal, so I was very surprised to get notification of a payable fee before any feed-in to the grid could be arranged.
In short the process was not fully explained in enough detail.

Thank you for your review Iaain.I do however feel as though I need to explain what occured here.
I did try and ring you yesterday to address your conerns Iain as this is the first I have heard of them. I will try you again Monday.
I Evan came out and saw you personally. It was a bit of a short meeting as you already had a few solar companies come out to see you. So I didnt cover the basics as I usually would have as you had already done your own reasearch when it comes to solar. You asked for an email which I sent while I was in your home.
You then rang me a few days later to inform me that you have chosen The Solar Electrician over the other companies. So i then sent you a contract via email with HP as the heading as they are our installation partners (we work with multiple retailers as we cover all of Victoria now). You then responded in writing that yoiu wish to proceed. Over the next few weeks you received multiple emails and calls from both HP and The Solar Electrician. At no point was this misinformation made aware to us.
As for the retailer reconfigure charge of 50 or so dollars. That has nothing to do with us. Some retailers charge it to some customers and not others. Some never charge it. There are over 50 electricity retailers in Victoria, how am I to know which one charges what and when. It is clearly stated on the same HP contract you agreed to that they might charge it. If you feel like you shouldnt have been charged the 50 dollars I would be happy to reimburse you the money.
As I said I will try you again on Monday. Enjoy your weekend.

These guys are excellent
These guys are excellent. From initial sales organisation to final inspection nothing went. wrong. No huge sales pitches just formation of what was best for my situation which was expertly discribed to me to allow my decision to be what I wanted that was also the best for me. Organisation of all the paper work required was also handled well by them. Most importantl as I rarely answer unsolicited phone calls we devised an identification system that worked well and was used by all who need to contact me. The physical prosess of instalation was also expertly performed. As member of of electrical sector Ii noticec that all work was neatly attended to and all applied to code. Electrical inspector also noted that in his view the insallation crew that attendeed to my fitout was one of the best available. Wo to-go whole process was only about three weeks which I consider impressive. Totally top crew from beginning to end.
