This company went to a lot of effort to get the windows right in my flat, which were difficult to colour match. They even came back and did the finishing while I was at home to make sure that everything was done the way I wanted - very much appreciated.

We bought a number of sash windows from them along a sound proof door. Sebastian and team were helpful and professional throughout from design/consulting to final installation. Sebastian also set our expectations well regarding how effective they would be. It was a serious investment for us but in the end we are very happy. The windows are in perfect keeping with our area, are well made and are great at reducing noise from the main road... but it's the door that's real highlight; it looks amazing, is highly sound proof and is built like a tank. Overall, very happy.

Awesome experience with sound proof windows. Everyone was amazing, but in particular Sebastian who is not only lovely and kind, but he also really goes above and beyond to find solutions. A real credit to the company. The windows have made a big difference and we even had guests use the room on the day they were finished. I bought a house last October, which was perfect in every way apart from my garden backing on to a Primary School playground and MUGA (just 4.5m distance from house to MUGA). I initially installed new double glazing but the noise of kids screaming and shrieking was still unbearable (66-70dB at times) and I had to wear ear defenders as I work from home. The noise permeated every habitable room in my house and was causing extreme stress. I wanted the optimum level of soundproofing, and found The Soundproof Windows via google. The windows were installed last week and they have transformed my life. I moved house during one of the lockdowns and when the pub at the back re-opened I realised I needed to do something about my windows! I did a lot of research on soundproof windows and am absolutely delighted that I choose the soundproof windows company. The windows cut out all the noise from the pub and look fantastic. I have a studio flat opposite a station and on a high street - convenient but so close I could even hear the Oyster cards beeping and the hustle and bustle and buses etc. Secondary glazing from Soundproof windows really worked and have transformed the living space and they look incredibly smart. The whole process was good from the initial enquiries through to the sound survey and the installation. Was given a project plan with regular updates on the order with good communication throughout.

Excellent quality, project management and nice people !

I ordered soundproofed secondary-glazed units to sit inside my existing double-glazed sash windows. The order was placed in October and installed in February. The service that I received was consistently helpful and attentive, and the installation was professional and tidy. The new units are not too obtrusive and they have significantly reduced the disturbance that I suffered from passing road traffic.

We did a lot of research before deciding on The Soundproof Windows. A lot of companies claim to provide acoustic insulation but….actually they don’t. They’re just selling more expensive double glazing. We also found that the same companies didn’t actually understand what we required and made simply wild, inaccurate claims about the quality of their windows. It was quite tedious to deal with these “experts” who were so unprofessional. And then my husband (who is particularly sensitive to aircraft noise) found Sebastian who is simply unique. A true professional who is serious about his product & actually seems to enjoy his work. He even measured the noise from the aircraft which (unfortunately) fly over our house. Even better, there was no hard sell. We were extremely fortunate that we were able to visit a recent customer who lives nearby to hear their views and check out the windows in action as they are also on the flight path and have a train line at the bottom of their garden. That’s when we realised what fantastic windows these are. The windows really do block out an enormous amount of noise - what you are left with is not so much a dull sound - more of a reverberation perhaps. It’s difficult to describe. It also transforms the climate inside the room. Our house is old and draughty with high ceilings-temperature wise, the new windows have made a massive difference. Another thing I was not prepared for was how beautiful the windows are - both from the inside and the outside. And several people have remarked on that, too. Perhaps the only downside is that after having Sebastian’s team in our home for a week, I never want to have any other workmen in this house ever! They were amazing. They arrived early every day-were incredibly courteous and careful. We honestly didn’t know they were here for most of the time. I have never come across such organised, tidy workers. They left our home immaculate. The windows are expensive but you are paying for a product and service that are unsurpassed and most importantly do their job.

The windows look great and it has made most of the traffic effectively silent which has transformed how peaceful the room is! The installation was very quick and the workmen were super efficient. They left the place with very minimal mess and were so helpful with refitting my blinds afterwards. Would highly recommend this company!

We did a lot of research before opting for 51db secondary glazing plus acoustic sash windows from The Soundproof Windows and we are absolutely delighted with the results. Our list of requirements was high in that we wanted:
- to eliminate as much noise as possible in the front of the house (as we front onto a busy A road)
- for the windows to be in keeping with the Victorian character of the house (as we live in a conservation area)
- for the existing shutters to be reinstated on top once the secondary glazing was installed.

Alice, Sebastian and their fitting team managed all of the above and it has transformed our use and appreciation of the affected rooms.

It is a significant expense as others have noted but good quality windows always are and you get what you pay for. We were not willing to compromise on quality or aesthetics and knew we wanted wooden windows.

Alice and Sebastian themselves are also highly professional, really lovely people and very easy to deal with. Sebastian is very passionate about what he does and incredibly knowledgeable! The fitting team were quick and efficient did a great job with the extra architraves and sills that were required.

I've now used The Soundproof Windows twice to fit their triple glazed mock sash windows. I'm fortunate enough to live between a trainline and a cut through residential road so at times there is no escape from noise. As other reviewers point out, while the windows won't make your room silent, they heavily muffle sounds such that it becomes much less noticable. I can now work and sleep much more comfortably at home! Overall quality of the product is very good and friends have all commented on how good they look. End to end, my experiences with Alice and Sebastian, through to the installers have been positive.

I used The Soundproof Windows to install windows to the whole front of my Victorian terrace house. This included two bay windows and two single windows. So eight windows in total.

We had an unfortunate experience earlier in the year in March. Another contractor installed so-called triple glazed upvc sash windows to the front of our house. We previously had really old upvc sash-look casement windows which were really ugly and old, and so we were keen to upgrade to give the house back it’s Victorian character. Unfortunately the windows installed in March by the other contractor were appalling. They actually amplified the noise such that we could hear conversations happening in the street from our first floor bedroom. We effectively couldn’t use the rooms to the front of the house as we live on a very busy road in SW London, and the noise was now so loud and stressful.

I began to research solutions and came across The Soundproof Windows. Sebastian visited our house and agreed about the noise. He said that the windows sold to use in March could never work effectively as the sash mechanism made them really full of gaps through which sound was penetrating. Plus, they hadn’t been that well installed anyway. And the triple glazed glass (in a 24mm frame!) was not effective. This was all true.

Sebastian recommenced their triple glazed 51db mock sash windows as the best solution given the heavy traffic on our road. He said that they would not get rid of all the noise as this was impossible, but would get rid of most of it such that it shouldn’t be such a big problem. I went ahead and ordered the windows in May and they were installed in September. They were not cheap, but are definitely worth every penny. The noise in now such that, although I can still hear it, it doesn’t bother us. They also look amazing. They actually look just like wooden sash windows complete with astragal window bars and horn features. Because they are wooden, the astragal bars are also nice and narrow as they would have been originally.

The fitters who installed the windows were excellent. I was understandably nervous, given our previous experience, and they took time to answer all my questions.

I would highly recommend this company if you are bothered by noise and need soundproof windows. They are very very professional and very nice to deal with too.
