Delivery takes ages. Parcel looks like it was delivered to the bin man first. On top of this they only deliver with prepaid /included VAT to the EU/UK, which gives you a bittersweet little extra $$$ surprise when you collect the battered parcel after three weeks.

I managed to find the right item at the right price in the right size.
I initially ordered the incorrect size my mistake however The Sporting Lodge were brilliant in terms of an exchange and dealt with it quickly and efficiently.
The only let down was Royal Mail due to the strike action taken at the time.

Sadly, having been impressed as a new customer spending over £200 – at the initial experience in the 'front-end' you can really judge the quality of customer service, by how you are dealt with, when things go wrong.
I raised a query about possible manufacturing fault, on a product I had not used, had all original tags/leaflet, even the original plastic and outer postage packing, purchased August (yes I know, this is obsessive). The query was about a severe dye at the bottom of a Kanken backpack - more than a light 'bleed.' I explained it hadn't been stored anywhere this could have happened.
TSL immediately went on the defensive, rather than entering into a dialogue. Claiming not their product, been stored in a dirty place. I was shocked and stunned. I wanted to enter into a solution-focused dialogue, as I would as a professional, with statutory registration. So, not a frivolous but genuine desire to engage in a conversation.
I am left shocked and the inferences just wholly unacceptable. My advice is to make sure that everything is right. They only honour 7 days – will dispute anything beyond this, even though Consumer Law covers an item not being ‘fit for purpose.’ Whilst I can stand the £loss, even though painful. Right now seems that in the most challenging of times, any retailer/manufacturer is unwilling to converse in a solution-focused and adult-adult dialogue. I support those who have had difficulties post sale. Just, as with everything, buyer beware, particularly so in these very unprecedented times.
What I am seeking - an apology - as a minimum.
Having looked at the reply, not accurate, I never asked for a return. My inquiry was about finding out how, when a bag had not left the house, had a blue dye stain (not stored near anything blue) had appeared. If you look I never asked for a return - I wanted to see if anything could be explained, and so rectified. I didn't ask for a return or refund, it was a 'problem-solving' query. But auto-pilot kicked in and customer services, went on defence, not dialogue to help a customer, post sale.

Superb range at competitive pricing. Subscribe to their newsletter to get 10% discount on your first purchase - this made them by far the cheapest supplier of my new jacket - and they were at a competetive price beforehand! Very responsive staff, rapid delivery. I will use them again.
