An immediate fix

After two expensive visits to a different shop which failed to solve my problem, I walked into Thetechout this morning with my laptop and walked out five minutes later with it fixed at no charge. Can't thank them enough!

First class service!

I took my laptop into The Techout today as it was damaged, with part of it coming away. The Techout quickly identified the minor issue causing this, and fixed it there and then, declining to charge me for their service. Excellent service, incredible customer care and a wonderful experience. We rely so heavily on our devices it’s always stressful and concerning when something goes wrong, but The Techout were fantastic. I’d highly recommend them to anyone who requires such services. If I could give more than five stars I would. Thank you so much! E

Great service today

Great service today, big thanks for sorting my husbands phone, swapping all data to another phone with numerous password requests. I wouldn't have had a clue where to start. Such a friendly lady too.

The most ignorant person that I have ever come across, called with a small problem about charging my I pad, was spoken to as though I was a complete fool, pushed past as though I was not there, no manners whatsoever, will not ever return.

Make sure you get full details in writing

I visited the store to sell an iPhone due to my recent upgrade. I had to walk past people drinking in the street outside to gain access and the only member of staff available was a male chatting outside with the people drinking. This felt quite intimidating. The staff member was quite indifferent and I felt rushed so he could go back outside. I was offered a price and told the phone would e checked then I would receive payment within 3 working days. The phone didn’t have a scratch on it, came with the original box and the battery was showing max. I had to ask for a receipt as non was offered as proof I’d left the phone and received a text message prior to leaving the shop. I had to chase payment for the phone 4 times before eventually receiving payment at a lesser amount than I’d been offered. On phoning the store I was told I’d been quoted this amount on email so this is all they would pay. I had received 4 emails non of which had an amount on so I said I’d been offered more elsewhere so would return the lower amount and collect the phone. I was told this wasn’t possible so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager wasn’t available but I was told would ring me back. I never got a call back. This feels like a total rip off and felt quite deliberate along with their refusal to ring me back. Interesting not one of their 4 emails to me had an amount.

Appalling communication and no actual repair

I handed over my laptop for repairs due to excessive heat. They contacted me a few days later explaining that after a preliminary inspection it could be the heating gel or dust build up in the fans, and did I want to continue with a cleaning. I said yes and I then recieved no contact from them for 2 months. I phoned them, just to be told they would check with the technician and call me back. They never did. I went into the store a few weeks later just to be told, it's still with the technician and they are waiting for a response. A few more weeks pass and I go in again. This time I receive my first apology, but still no update and a promise that we will try to sort it by the end of the week. Another full week passes and I get a message saying sorry we can't fix it, please come and collect it. This was more then 4 months after I handed it over, and I have nothing to show for it. Appealing communication skills from techout, and a complete waste of my time.

Charger snapped off in iPad …

My daughter managed to snap her iPad charger clean off inside so called the Techout and they soon sorted it out for me. Was in and out in 20 mins. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.
