second order happy with everything as i was last time i will definately buy again

After a disaster of a previous sausage order from another company..I was quite pleased with these Cumberland sausages.
Brilliant texture and air fried well..only slight criticism is the flavour was not quite as I expected..very little 'Cumberland' flavour was apparent, needed salt to bring out the flavour...but maybe I am being a little picky.
The fat at the bottom of the air fryer was minimal...so pleased with that .
Worth a try....7/10...which from me is a high sausage mark .lol

Order was delivered quickly. Meat was all great quality at a good price.

Meat delivered on the expected day. Good quality leg of lamb, all guests thought it was delicious.

Have ordered a few times with The Village Butchers and it has always been great. Easy online ordering and always delivered when I want and on time. Thank you and will continue to order from you guys.

Overall disappointed. Ordered ribeye steaks. I weighed and all 4 were underweight. Advertised as 10-12 oz, every single steak was under 10oz. Not particularly cheap steak and if I order 4 steaks I would expect a range between 10-12 ounces not all underweight. Furthermore have since eaten steak and it was nothing outstanding, not bad but my local butcher will be getting my custom in future. I was offered a 10% discount but I will not be using them again

Meat well packed and chilled on arrival. Delivered as promised. Delicious meat when we bbq,d it.

Extremely disappointed with the wings I had ordered for a BBQ this weekend. Despite marinating and cooking them properly, they were inedible. There was very little meat on the bones, and what was there was tough, chewy, and unpleasant to eat. The skin remained thick and rubbery even after cooking.

I’ve cooked chicken wings countless times and have never experienced anything like this. The texture felt as though the product had been frozen and thawed multiple times or was simply very poor quality. Given the £12 for 5kg price, it unfortunately felt more like old stock being cleared than a genuine bargain.

Sadly, the flavour from the marinade couldn’t make up for the poor quality of the wings. I won’t be purchasing those ever again.

I have ordered ofer many months including beef and chicken all great.. This time I took upmthe. kg of wings deal for £12.50.. a half price deal.. it was totally rubbish all bone and tough nothing else.. I have been a customer for well over a year but this was appauling.. I will not be buying again

£80 down the drain, or rather in the bin.
Ordered and paid for next day delivery. Received a "sorry your order has been delayed" email from Dpd the next day.
I emailed village butcher and told them i didn't want it if it was sitting in a warehouse for 2 days. The basically said it would be fine. I didn't agree then and I don't now.
The meat arrived 2 days after ordering and was left upside down on the doorstep in 16-18 degrees heat on a cloudless day. My partner spoke to the driver through the doorbell camera and asked him to at least leave the box in the driveway where it was shaded, driver refused.
I contacted village butcher gain and they basically said DPD shouldn't have done that, but it was not their problem. Still they had their money by this point, so who cares right?

Great staff, very friendly, nothing too much trouble and such an amazing selection of produce. Not surprised there was a queue when we visited.
Bought a small leg of lamb joint which was lean and tender. Only problem was had planned to have it over two days but it was just too delicious and we ate it all the day it was cooked, oops.
Great value for money.

The meat I ordered was very good indeed and is eating lovely so will sure be back for more when this order has been used. Thanks to all concerned with my order.

I ordered two meaty baby back ribs as advertised, what I got was two of the smallest racks I've ever seen, I no they were on offer but there was not meat on them everyone commented as they were bought for a party so no I'm not convinced buying online is better quality as I hoped.

I ordered 2 Tomahawk steaks, but they sent me 3 because the original ones were slightly underweight compared to the website listing. Amazing service, very well packaged, and the delivery arrived on the exact day I requested. The quality of the meat was outstanding. Thank you — I will definitely order again!

Excellent product and service you can't go wrong

Great meat. Last delivery arrived thawed. I have mentioned this in a review but had no response from the team so I will try again. I shall be ordering again but hope it is not all thawed again.
