Purchased both adult and kids subscriptions and all been brilliant. Great choices that i wouldn't have chosen for myself in the shop but have fully enjoyed. Excellent service, highly recommend.

This has been a wonderful gift, from grandma for my daughter. A fantastic selection of books which have helped to broaden her book collection. She has really loved getting the parcels in the post each month!

The WBC is an absolute dream for book lovers. Each month a beautifully wrapped book arrives. I really don't know how they choose the books so perfectly. I have had a subscription for several years (at the moment I have two) and every single book that turns up is on point. Occasionally I am familiar with the book or the author but nine times out of ten it is a book or author I have never heard of. I have bought subscriptions for friends and for our friends kids and have had the response 'best gift ever' more than once. Very highly recommended.

This subscription was a present for my mum, who is absolutely delighted with the choice of gardening book she receives every month. It is clear that books have been chose with care, and are appropriate for her "advanced" level of gardening. Would thoroughly recommend a subscription to anyone who loves to read, and I will certainly continue to purchase subscriptions as presents and for myself!

Excellent service. Quick and with good choices.

This was given as a gift, but I thought it was really well managed. Every book arrived on schedule for 12 months. There was none of this additional rubbish like some other book subscriptions make you buy - just one book every month for a year. The book choices were consistently intelligent, thoughtful, appropriate and not ones the recipient had read. They turned up books we'd never heard of but were a pleasure to read. You really get a sense that they genuinely try to match books closely to the details of the preferences that you submit. Definitely recommend this professionally organised club.

I couldn’t recommend The Willoughby Book Club enough. Apart from it being hands down the best present to give (my husband is still telling me it’s the best present I’ve ever given him months down the line), there’s something really special about gifting yourself or a loved one a way to switch off, explore, expand the mind and ‘travel’.. all those things we do when we’re stuck in a book!

Janet is the lady who picks out the books for my husband and her choices are amazing, it’s as if she knows him.

The customer service is so impressive - quick to reply, friendly and so helpful.

I bought a year-long subscription to the Willoughby Book Club for my mother. She has loved the choice of books and, because I live in New Zealand, it's great for her to receive a monthly reminder that I'm thinking of her, in the form of a book. Each volume was carefully chosen to match her interests and it's clear that the staff take great care to be sure that recipients are happy. My mother has spent a happy year reading a combination of favourite authors and carefully-selected writers who are new to her, and each month her delight is clear. Thank you!

We live in Ireland, but the subscription was as a gift for our son and his partner who by coincidence live in Leicester where we understand you are also based. We visited them last weekend and again by coincidence their last book arrived as we were there. They've said they have been very happy with the selection provided, so as far as we are concerned, that's a positive recommendation.

Fantastic! I have had a bespoke subscription for myself and bought one as a gift. Service always very prompt and the books are beautifully packaged. Some really interesting, thoughtful choices and a treat to discover new authors this way. So impressed with the time and care put into the selections.

I love this service and have been surprised every month with a good book that we've enjoyed. This is the second time we've had a book subscription and I think we might set up a longer one in the future.

I bought this both for my Brother and Sister for their birthday presents. It really is the present that just keeps on giving. They were a bit skeptical at first as it's essentially a book to start with, but every month you get a new one without even thinking about it!! Would definitely recommend for birthday presents!! I received a six month subscription for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! It was such a treat getting the books wrapped so nicely in the post and they were all from authors I hadn't heard of before but would definitely now try again. I would totally recommend!

This really is the perfect gift!!! My son was given a years subscription as a birthday gift and he absolutely loves it. We purchased a subscription for a family member and she has been so impressed with the books selected for her, as an avid reader I expected her to receive books she had previously read but she didn’t. I will be purchasing more subscriptions as gifts in the future, I’m now just hoping someone buys me one! :)
