This is an outstanding product and the metal mounting bracket makes attaching to the wall a snap! Was worried it wasn't going to suport the weight but all seems okay going into a stud.

Horrible company. After purchasing a shelf, they sent me a damaged shelf, missing parts and it wouldn’t open. Called about 50 times they didn’t answer or return any calls after leaving numerous messages. No response to my emails. It is chipped and paint was falling off right out of the box.

Really like the product. Should come with batteries though. Was annoying to go get batteries.

Very solid shelf. All around cool tech. Super happy. I am taking a star off because I wish the foam were easier to cut out. The instructions didn't provide much guidance on how to do this.

Works quite well, shipping got messed up but they happily sent another one. Lock doesn't come out freely, have to press up when it's unlocked. Bracket was a bit weird, but I believe that was due to weird stud locations. Foam was sturdy and holds my gun well, keys work well once I figured out where to hover them over, and the battery backup works as well (tested before I relied entirely on batteries). Overall an easy and secure design with minimal flaws that are easily worked around with a little ingenuity.

This shelf is excellent. The metal bracket is a breeze to make it mount.

Love the shelf, well built. Only complaint is the that shipping took a little longer than expected. Other than that love it.

The Timbervault shelf arrived in a couple of weeks and seemed to be well built. The white paint had a couple of runs, but was otherwise acceptable.

I installed new Duracell batteries 5 months ago and have opened the shelf 3-4 times. I attempted to open the shelf and it began chirping. I realized the batteries were low and I thought, no problem. I'll just plug in the USB power back-up supply. After plugging in the back-up power, and attempting to open the shelf door using the RFID cards, the shelf only buzzed. It appears the RFID cards no longer communicate with the RFID lock.

I sent 3 emails to Timbervault asking how to rectify this issue and there's been no response. I then called their customer service number, (512) 763-2841, which is a Google number. This number is untraceable and not attached to any address.

It appears I will not be able to even remove this shelf from the wall to throw it away without damaging the walls in my expensive home.

I have done some research on RFID locks and there are both quality locks and cheap Chinese locks. I'm wondering what is the quality of this particular lock used by Timbervault?

My only advice after my experience is DO NOT BUY a Timbervault shelf.

It sounds like others have had bad experiences but I really like the shelf and it works well and was built really well. I ordered the shelf and received it in less than a week in perfect condition. Previously I ordered a different flimsy shelf from a different company, glad I got this one.

They can improve, only if they stop doing business. The shelves boxes are not opening, the tissue boxes smells like hell, they don't answer to phone calls, etc.

I ordered a shelf two weeks ago. The shelf shipped quickly and arrived in good shape. I had one issue (turned out to be user error) and customer service was quick to respond and was very helpful.

Was nervous after seeing other reviews. Got my shelf yesterday. Seems to work fine and shipped after a couple days. No complaints so far!

I lost my RFID card during a move, have tried twice buying cards off their site, nothing. Can anyone tell me how to get spare cards?

Wish I saw these reviews before I ordered. They at least sent my shelf, but it came without any mounting hardware, no RFID’s (both supposed to be included) and no motion light that I paid extra for. Now I can’t reach them. Phone number does not work. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response. So now I have this useless shelf since it can’t be opened without the RFID’s. Very frustrated.

This company sold me a gun shelf and the mechanism is not working, which makes the concealment shelf useless! Despite several attempts to contact the seller, he has not responded in any way!
I would NOT RECOMMEND to purchase anything from him!

I ordered a shelf, and after a month had not received any communication or shipping notices. I emailed customer service, and they made an excuse that their shipping is delayed and that there was a notice on there website (it was only on their FAQ page.) So, I asked for a refund. No response, so I followed up. They asked me to wait another week, but I replied that I waited long enough and will instead buy from a competitor, and I once again asked for a refund. I ended up having to contact my bank to file a dispute to issue a charge back. After three months, I finally received my money.

I ordered the large concealment shelf. All went great until I received my order. Came well packaged with no damage to the box but when I opened it had a crushed corner. The damage also revealed it was made of some cheap particle board type material. I finished unpacking it on Saturday to learn it had no packing list, no instructions, no RFID keys that were supposed to come with it, no installation hardware, and per the online instructions I found, the locking system was already installed with batteries in it (shouldn't have been and batteries stated as not included. They clearly sent me someone's damaged return. The only 2 phone numbers I could find rings only once then disconnects. I emailed a few times and have yet to hear from anyone so I went ahead and disputed this with my CC company.

Placed an order and they immediately took the money and never responded to any of my calls or emails. A SCAM!!!! Please don't order from them. $417.99 down the drain....

This company is a scam. Shipping labels created after I ordered. Their phone number doesn’t work and they will not respond to emails. $329 wasted. This last email from today was returned saying it no longer exist.

I would rate them as a no star. We had ordered a shelf last year during their Christmas promotion. It has still not been delivered after numerous attempts to contact their customer service department. Contact information on line has now been closed out. Locations for corporate has changed over the past year two times with one being an apartment complex. Would highly recommend not doing business with this company. Looking for a legal recourse not.
