Really efficient service, lovely cottage, all info provided in plenty of time.

Great company, have used several times with no problems at all

We have rented several cottages via this company over the years and have had an excellent experience on every occasion. This year was no exception. From our first search to our stay it was a faultless experience. We always look at their site before others and will do again in the future.

The property was in a good, quiet location and had a good amount of space. However, that is where the positives end unfortunately.
There was just far too much clutter and stuff in this property, it was really off putting. There were many kitchen cupboards full of things, including half used food but nowhere to put our food. The cupboards fridge and freezer needed a good clean. There were so many flies and I get it’s that time of year but some fly traps would have worked. There was a lot of old stuff in the property- carrier bags on pegs, half a used block of soap in the shower, random cds, leaflets, old magazines. It could do with a declutter and general modernization of decoration. It was rated as a 3.5 star property but it definitely wasn’t and felt like I was staying at an elderly relatives place who didn’t want me to touch there stuff.

A delightful cottage in an idyllic and peaceful setting, very adequately equipped and very friendly hosts. We would have been happy sitting in the garden all week but the beautiful and under-recognised west Dorset pulled us away; the Golden Cap estate between Seatown and Charmouth is a must for walking.

Enjoyed a very good experience with Toad Hall Cottages. We had to change our original booking date and they were helpful and got the owners to agree very quickly. During our stay we had an electrical problem in our rental and they had it sorted very quickly. Very happy with their service.

Toad hall offer a huge range of properties to stay in. We have used their services twice now and have never been disappointed. Communication is excellent and people get back to you quickly to answer any queries. Lovely people to deal with.

We have used Toad Hall and New Forest Cottages now for a number of years and have never had a problem with the accommodation. Always comfortable and clean , a located in a delightful place.
Our favourite location is the New Forest and especially Oak view , Chris and Claudia are always extremely helpful .

Mayflower Court. A wonderfully presented apartment situated in the most convenient area. The park (100m) is an absolute godsend if you have kids. M&S for all day to day goods 2mins away and supermarkets 5mins drive. Crabbing right outside the apartment is so handy and a lovely stroll into Dartmouth itself.
Toad Hall have been our go to link for booking. They are reliable, speedy and friendly to deal with.

We've used Toad Hall Cottages before and had no hesitation using them again this year! Every property we've ever booked has been exactly as described, and anticipated. They all meet a certain standard and criteria that makes for a great holiday experience and the only surprises are pleasant ones. Keep up the great work and hopefully we'll book another soon!

The accommodation we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Bedding was pristine and comfortable. it was well equipped and we had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived. Staff at Toad Hall Cottages were polite and helpful (we had need to call them on a Sunday due to a small issue with the combi boiler and they answered the phone promptly and resolved the issue immediately).
There was nothing to complain about at all. Top marks Toad Hall Cottages.

A great property in a beautiful location with stunning views. Comfortable bed, adequate storage, good bathroom facilities, plenty of living space and a lovely outside seating area. Slightly disappointed with the cleaning, hence 4 stars, but I would stay there again.

Comfortable cottage in great location and a problem with the shower was sorted out quickly

We stayed for a week at Homelands Cottage in Brockenhurst.
The cottage was exceptionally clean and very well equipped.
We enjoyed a wonderful time there were 4 adults and two small dogs.
Loved the location too just a small work to the lovely village and close to the railway station

Lovely semi detached house on a private estate with private swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis and play area. Perfect for a family holiday to keep youngsters amused.

Great choice of properties and locations to choose from. Prompt responses to queries and requests and gentle reminders too. Thanks to all involved for a wonder holiday which we have already rebooked for next year!

The property / Looked Good, But Not Practical or Comfortable

The studio was clean and nicely decorated, but that’s where the positives end. It’s advertised as dog-friendly, yet there’s no secure fencing and the rear garden is tick-infested. The warped outdoor table was unusable, and slugs appeared in droves when it rained.

Storage was poor — no wardrobe, just a few hooks by the kitchen, so expect your clothes to smell like food. Only one towel per person provided. The location is very remote, with nothing in walking distance and a foot ferry that stops at 6:30 pm. Roads are extremely narrow — not ideal if you care about your car.

Add in limited phone signal, unreliable Wi-Fi, and a TV with around 10 channels, and it’s clear this place isn’t designed for guest comfort. Disappointing overall.

Have booked through Toad Hall several times. Always a great choice of accommodation with lots of information about the properties which is reassuring. The booking process and communication is always very good. Would definitely recommend.
