TOG24 stands for “Truth Over Glory Everyday”. We’re not about the “Glory” side of the outdoors; Planting flags on mountains or skiing down sheer ice walls, we’re about the “True” outdoors that everybody can be involved with; walking with friends to the pub or skiing with the family to a bar. Based in the Spen Valley town of Heckmondwike, initially produced footwear, branched into sports bags and football kits in the 70's before finally landing on waterproofs and fleeces. As the brand grew in popularity skiwear and casual clothing were added. We manufactured all our clothing in the head office we still own today, however, to ensure we stayed competitive and to keep our doors open, it was with a heavy heart that we began producing overseas. Whatever the product was, it had to fit into our motto... TOG24 are a product of our location in the Spen Valley, Yorkshire; we try to do things right, we don’t believe in the marketing hype that’s out there and everything we make represents quality and value for your hard earned pound. And while we no longer manufacture here (that stopped in 2010) all our products are still proudly designed in the Spen Valley TOG24 began with the factory shop in Heckmondwike. Originally carpeted in off cuts of fleece and selling seconds and ends of lines out of cardboard boxes, the store did so well that we stopped trying to sell TOG24 to other people’s shops and set up our own chain of stores. TOG24 now sells from over 60 outlets across Britain and Ireland, (and for the biggest bargains you can still visit us at our original factory shop in Heckmondwike).

Purchased Barnby Coat.
Although it it is only water proof I thought it would give better protection in a shower of rain ☔

We’d like to clarify that the Barnby Coat is not fully waterproof, but instead treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating. This means it’s designed to offer protection in light showers, but it's not suitable for sustained or heavy rainfall. Due to the baffle construction and stitched seams, water can penetrate through the stitching over time, which is unfortunately what you experienced.
When you contacted our Faulty Goods team, they confirmed the coat is performing as expected for its intended use — as a shower-resistant, insulated layer rather than a fully waterproof garment.
We're sorry the coat didn’t meet your expectations in terms of warmth or weather protection. If you're looking for a fully waterproof alternative in the future, our team would be happy to help you find a style better suited to your needs.

I was happy with two out of three…
I was happy with two out of three shirts I DID order… took one back to the TOG24 shop at Cheshire Oaks this morning. Using my email, staff found the order and arranged a refund. That was excellent.
However a few minutes after I got home I found an email, Confirming’My Order for two polo shirts I know nothing about!!
Hopefully this is not true and is a glitch . I was expecting a confirmation of the original ‘refund’. Please sort out

Popped in to look at lightweight…
Popped in to look at lightweight jackets before I walked round Trentham with friends and my dog. Assistant was very helpful. After the walk popped in again with a friend who held the dog. Great choice of jackets and were reduced. Again help was great and assistant really cheerful and helpful. Really pleased with the jacket and experience.
